opening post on Surf God's Revenge, and here is an AI production detail that accidentally became a style.
The outdoor scenes have weather. Sun, glare, wind on the water, all changing. Step inside and the weather stops. Same light through the same window, every episode, for the entire run.
That is a rendering constraint. Interiors are cheaper and far more consistent when light never moves.
But look at what it does to the story. The house becomes a place outside time. Seasons do not pass in there. Five years accumulate without one visual marker of a year going by.
Which is precisely the experience of the person living it. He has been in that room a long time, and nothing in the room will tell you how long.
The most eloquent shot in this series might be a window that never changes.
