00:36to university school to salem this has to be decided in fairness to all of the kids that plan
00:44to play football this weekend i can't have this preliminary injunction issue temporary string or
00:50lingering throughout the week it's not fair to glenville it's not fair to the university school
00:55and it's certainly not fair to salem who their coach is probably watching this hearing and trying
01:01to figure out who he should prepare his kids for my expectation friday after that conference call
01:06was that football game was going to get played i wrongfully thought that university school wanted
01:11to play a playoff football game and when i say university school i'm addressing the administration
01:16and the coaching staff because i'm sure the players wanted to play i'm sure the parents wanted their
01:21kids to play i'm sure the alumni and fans but the fact that that was taken away from them by

01:25coaching staff and their administration it's pathetic see that goes along with a lot of what we've been

02:05off they did kick off i saw a touchdown celebration i don't know how you do that because after the
02:10kickoff if the other team doesn't come on the field so how are how long clearly deferred they knew
02:14about this how many weeks ago or they knew that there might be conversations about this how many weeks

02:24and they made it very clear over the last few weeks that we had demanded required paperwork
02:32to prove some eligibility requirements were going to be met a month ago and then they have member 29th

04:37these a lot of these are at-risk kids coming from impoverished homes i thought this was awesome and i
04:44thought we had all agreed it was awesome until i realized that they were actually probably in violation of
04:49the ohsa rules over the years you guys seem to be muddying together though is glenville and ginn
04:54academy yeah those are not the same institution and once again if you live next next door to max
05:01hayes and you go to glenville and then you end up at ginn academy you can still play football for

05:49schools allowed to bring in kids from all over why can't this inner city school bring kids from
05:54within 10 miles so so it the issue also though is the administrators at glenville didn't do what
06:01they were asked to do so now you're letting your kids down so there's a lot of wrong here there

06:35school so i think we all understand this this is going to be a mess regardless of how they decide

06:45are a bunch of people in the football community that while they have respect for glenville and ted
06:50ginn they think they've been getting away with murder for many years in the in the city because

06:59like the first night like i'm talking 2011 something about ted ginn got brought up something about glenville got
07:04brought up and i i've only met ted ginn since a handful of times right fine guy fine school fine
07:11program i love being on their sidelines i got stuff from them like i'm not going to deny any of

07:15but there were people who were agitated and they were calling in that i was saying nice things about
07:22ted and i just took it as like again i thought if you lived in the city you just go
07:27to glenville i had
07:29no idea there were like regions about that and that was it because i was getting calls from people
07:34who were like i swear to god like john marshall's area like oh you don't understand i'm like well guys
07:38i i can't speak to any of that i didn't realize there was actually like a set system that you're

07:44and i will say that there are there are football coaches and i'm i'm a i'm a football guy but

07:51football coaches at some of the other city schools senate league schools we're like i'm trying to get a
07:56program off the ground here you're taking my guys so i i do sympathize to a degree with that
08:01but if i got this conveyor belt of players going to ohio state the big one of the biggest programs

08:09the country arguably the biggest program in the country year to year how am i supposed to deny that
08:15it makes it very difficult because in the end state championships are big deals but in the end isn't
08:22is the future not the big deal here for the young man or a young lady depending on what sport
