00:00We're inside Crypto.com Arena, where the Lakers look for their sixth win of this young season, opposed to two
00:08losses.
00:09Let's get to the starting lineups. First of all, for the Lakers, Zaire Williams still out with an injury, so
00:14Jake is in there.
00:15The other four are what we've seen throughout the course of the last two weeks for the Miami Heat, some
00:21familiar names.
00:23Of course, Andrew Wiggins is a champion up at Golden State.
00:27Klay Thompson seemed to get his stroke back a little bit, shooting the three the other night, and Davian Mitchell,
00:34I'll tell you what, he can play some defense.
00:37Mike, you know, for Luka, even for him, this is one of the great starts that he's had in his
00:43career.
00:43Yeah, Billy, it's been ridiculous. And look, it is officially too early to do any kind of MVP discussion, so
00:49just bear with us.
00:50This is more for context, okay? Look at what Shea's doing, and Victor Weminyama and Nikola Jokic,
00:55and Luka, not just the points, okay, the rebounds, the assists are going to be there.
01:00He's also amongst the league leader in steals. He's currently tied for the league lead in charges drawn,
01:06so that just gives some perspective looking around the league as to how good he's been.
01:10You know, before the game, about an hour and a half ago, I asked J.J. Reddick,
01:13what has impressed you, somebody that has watched a ton of Luka's career?
01:17And he said he really feels that Luka has picked things up from an offensive standpoint.
01:22I believe you talked about it last night with the five steals, and just kind of setting a tone that,
01:27hey, not only am I going to create great shots for everybody, I'm going to give my best on the
01:31other end,
01:32the leadership evolving.
01:33So, yeah, a fantastic start both ways for number 77.
01:40And we expect him to not slow down, and it's always the first quarter, Stu.
01:46For some reason, I mean, he comes out and looking to score,
01:48but just domination in the first quarter just about each and every night.
01:52Yeah, I mean, he leads the league in first quarter scoring.
01:56Obviously, he leads the league overall scoring as well,
01:58but he sets the tempo and see what he can do against this tough defense of the Miami Heat.
02:04I'm going to say this is a good test tonight.
02:06This is an outstanding starting five,
02:09just learning how to play together, especially the big guys.
02:11It's all about spacing for them so far.
02:15There's Bam who had that 83 last year.
02:18Wiggins, that's where he operates in the corner, tapped out nicely.
02:22Giannis, not a great three-point shooter by any stretch,
02:25but it's knocked away by the Lakers.
02:27This is what he does.
02:28He's underneath.
02:29That's a blocking foul by Reeves, and an and-one for Antetokounmpo.
02:34You know, for a guy 6'11 or so, Giannis is really good at sliding to the left or right
02:39and turning charges into blocks.
02:41You see how he slid to his left.
02:43He got a piece to the shoulder, as the referee said.
02:47It's going to be a blocking foul, and J.J. Reddick said,
02:51I don't care if we've only played 27 seconds.
02:54I'm going to review this, as he has called a timeout to do just that.
03:00Los Angeles is challenging the blocking foul called on the floor.
03:08He established a guarding position prior to upward shooting motion by Antetokounmpo.
03:14Antetokounmpo goes through the space of Reeves.
03:17This challenge is being overturned to an offensive foul.
03:21While this is a successful challenge, they will not get the timeout back,
03:24but they will have a challenge later in the game.
03:27Wow, that's a big break for the Lakers there.
03:30They maintain their challenge as they are successful on the challenge.
03:36And they get Giannis with a foul in the first half minute of the game.
03:40First 27 seconds of the game.
03:42Yep, so no score, and the Lakers get the basketball for the first time.
03:48Kessler was perfect again last night, albeit not as many shots as the opening night.
03:54Luka, and we're going to go the other way.
03:56Illegal screen on Jake LaRavia.
03:59Turnover, and that has been a story.
04:01They got a defensive rebound better, and they have to take care of the ball.
04:05Well, once again, 46 Laker turnovers in the last two games, Stu Lamps.
04:11Yeah, that won't get it done on a consistent basis.
04:15Right near the bottom of the NBA.
04:17That time, Antetokounmpo is fouled, and he'll go to the line and shoot two.
04:23So we got a bunch of whistles here in the first minute.
04:26And we haven't even hit a minute.
04:31There's a good look at J.J. Redick.
04:33His team is 5-2, 3-1 at home.
04:37The only loss was to Portland.
04:39That was in a cup game, and look at Portland again.
04:44Well, that was not in a cup game.
04:45Excuse me.
04:48There's Spolstra.
04:53Nineteenth season is the Heat head coach.
04:59Well, he's been with the organization for a long time.
05:05The cup game was the loss to Golden State up in San Francisco, but it will be one on Friday.
05:10Look at the pressure.
05:12All teams are starting to really put a lot of defensive pressure on the Lakers.
05:17They'll drive and kick.
05:18They see Strybel trying to go baseline.
05:20That's kicked by Bam Adebayo.
05:22That'll be 14 on the shot clock.
05:24Yeah, he was trying to get that bounce pass to Kessler, but Kessler was standing at the dotted line around
05:29the free throw line area in the paint.
05:31What was he going to do with it?
05:32Because he hasn't shown that he's very offensive-minded when he catches the ball there, other than maybe trying to
05:38throw down a dump.
05:39Yeah, just get warmed up here.
05:41Lakers, one of six in the entire NBA, averaging at least 120 points.
05:46They're doubling up on Luka.
05:48They're showing their hand right away.
05:50Look out!
05:51In about the third or fourth row, as LaRavia throws it away.
05:55A little out of control.
05:57Yeah, I think Jake that time again was looking to drive to kick instead of driving to score and then
06:03reading the defense.
06:04Lakers have won three in a row in the series.
06:08Last heat victory in L.A. was in 2024.
06:13Mitchell.
06:14Lones had paycheck playing defense, as we've alluded to.
06:17On the outside, though, he can pop a three and he does it right there.
06:24Yeah, you get a reputation for one area of the game and sometimes the people overlook the other.
06:29Yeah, he has four double-doubles already in their points assist double-doubles from Mitchell.
06:35Boy, they're just swarming defensively.
06:37You didn't expect that all night.
06:38And Matisse hits it from the outside.
06:41Bible went two for four from three last night.
06:46Quickly the other way.
06:47Long shot, long rebound.
06:48Chance for the break.
06:49Here's A.R.
06:50They get back very well defensively, so it's right back out to Luka.
06:54Luka goes around to Lakers.
06:56Luka stops.
06:57Luka from 15!
06:58What a move!
06:59I'll tell you, when you can sell the drive like that and then create space with a step back, makes
07:05it a lot easier.
07:0745, 15, 6 assists, 5 steals, 8 threes.
07:12Last night, Liggins blocked that time by Matisse, saved by Luka.
07:18So the Lakers up 5-4, they've got control of the basketball.
07:22Trying to guard Luka is Klay Thompson.
07:24Used to be an elite defender.
07:27And then came the injuries.
07:29He still does a pretty good job on that end, but you're going against Luka.
07:33I don't care what the scenario is, but you've got to be defensive-minded in this game, and Matisse is
07:39just that.
07:40Blocks the shot, saved by Luka, and then Luka on the other end gets the foul call on the over
07:46-aggressiveness of Klay Thompson.
07:48Yeah, he's not a bad defender, it's just that, I mean, back in the day when 100% healthy, Klay
07:54was a stopper.
07:57All right, the future of our communities is determined at the ballot box.
08:01Make your game plan to vote tomorrow, Tuesday, November the 3rd.
08:04Scan to learn more, get in the game and vote.
08:07And with that, the NBA, a couple years ago, they decided, we're not going to have any games on Election
08:12Tuesday.
08:13So, every team in the league is in action tonight.
08:17All 30 teams, 15 games.
08:24And this is one of the three games, starting at 7 o'clock Pacific.
08:30Luka continues his fine shooting from the charity stripe.
08:35Fouled in the act of shooting at three.
08:38He's made his first two.
08:39He has the Lakers up by three.
08:41Yeah, he was 13 for 13 last night to Stu's point.
08:44His third 40-point game of the season already.
08:48He has 20, 40-plus games as a Laker already.
08:59Mitchell goes around the pick.
09:01Now Thompson, Klay known as an outside shooter, but creates a little space.
09:05That's a nice move at the baseline.
09:06Hits mid-range.
09:07A little sidestep there kept the defender off of him.
09:10Nice move.
09:12They are in the lane with the hang and the score.
09:18And Austin going against another fine defender in Mitchell.
09:23Mitchell matched up with Fiebel.
09:25There's Giannis shooting below 30% from three.
09:30Again, never been a great one.
09:32And he kind of depends.
09:33He hits his first one.
09:34Maybe it goes on.
09:35He's one of those guys.
09:36You got to watch out.
09:37Good dish underneath.
09:38Kessler scores!
09:40Nice movement without the ball by Matisse again.
09:46Kessler had three blocks.
09:47Last night.
09:49Oh!
09:49Look out!
09:51Giannis!
09:52Yeah, Kessler who?
09:53If he gets into your body, I don't care who you are.
09:55He is a threat at the rim.
09:57And the boy Walker, he was just backing up.
10:00Getting out of trouble that time.
10:0212-8.
10:03Lakers lead is four.
10:05Just getting going here in the contest.
10:07Reeves.
10:08Here's Fiebel.
10:09That's no shot.
10:11That's no shot.
10:12And again, if you haven't seen the Lakers this year,
10:16then we'll get back to Fiebel in a second.
10:18You see how Giannis does a very good job with his sidestep.
10:22They call it the Eurostep, but he really does the job.
10:25And when he's in the paint, just about anything can be a dunk.
10:29There's a launch by Luka!
10:32Good from the outside!
10:35Boy.
10:36Under duress, as always, it seems.
10:38What a start to a season individually by Luka.
10:42Right now, eight points.
10:44And there's still 750 to go in the corner.
10:47Getting bumped in the middle.
10:48Fiebel nearly had the steal.
10:50There was a bump by Luka on the baseline as Wiggins was going there.
10:55But I'll tell you something about Luka.
10:57I mean, I don't care how close you are.
10:59He makes some of the most unbelievable shots,
11:02and he makes them look real, real easy.
11:04Then on the other end, there's the bump that created the whistle
11:07and caused the foul.
11:11You know, it's interesting.
11:12Luka has 226 points coming in in six games.
11:15Only Wilt and MJ have accomplished that number as he hits again!
11:21Think about that.
11:22Only Wilt and MJ have scored that many points in their first six of the season,
11:26and he's at it again.
11:28I mean, it's just ridiculous how easy he makes it look.
11:32Thompson settles it in.
11:34Again, he was on fire Friday against Indiana.
11:39He was seven for 12 from three.
11:41Luka had eight threes.
11:44Clay had seven.
11:45Oh, they don't stop reads, and Arabia just drops it out of bounds into his own bench.
11:52Yeah, hit him in a bad spot right in the hands.
11:54Another look at Luka knocking down a shot over Davion Mitchell.
11:57Just too short to challenge the shot, and Luka makes him pay.
12:03So, in the rotation, Grimes comes in.
12:06Sandro will be coming in momentarily, too.
12:10And Theibel will go to the bench.
12:13I was mentioning Theibel and that interesting shot that he has that he doesn't bring it down.
12:19If you have a watch for the Lakers, you'll see it later.
12:21Just kind of keeps it up above his shoulders.
12:24Wiggins, three, corner, got it!
12:28Andrew Wiggins went to Kansas for a year, now in his 13th year in the NBA.
12:33He won the title of the Golden State with Kavon Looney of the Lakers.
12:37And Luka, again, that one comes up short.
12:39Good defense.
12:41Luka's got to get up.
12:42It's a power play the other way.
12:44Five on four, nobody's on Mitchell.
12:47So, the Lakers get outnumbered, going back the other way.
12:51And six quick ones by the Heat, and it's a one-point game.
12:55Again, they lost their first two, but they've won, lost their first four,
12:59but they beat Atlanta and the Pacers in their last couple of games.
13:06Obviously, pegged by just about everybody to be a contender in the East.
13:12When someone's riding you like they ride Luka, and you got any kind of handle,
13:16you just get them on your hip and then pull up quickly.
13:19That momentum carries the defender into the shooter.
13:25You know, the last meeting between these two teams took place in March of this past calendar year.
13:34Luka, his third career 60-point game as the Lakers came back from a 15-point deficit.
13:42So, a 6-0 last time these two teams met.
13:45Yeah, that was in Miami, obviously.
13:49Lakers scored 75 points in the second half.
13:53Donchich had nine threes.
13:55That's his personal record.
13:57We thought he might best that last night.
14:01He finally misses a free throw.
14:04Yeah, first miss in a while, but he's got 12 points in less than six minutes.
14:09And the Laker lead is two.
14:10Open is Adebayo hit a really tough start to the season offensively.
14:16Always going to be a good defensive player, all-NBA type.
14:19Luka doubled up and turns it over.
14:22The one thing you got to try to remember,
14:25when teams are constantly double-teaming, you stay away from the sidelines.
14:30Jakers are at it again.
14:31That's four turnovers and half a quarter.
14:34Down goes Adebayo.
14:35Down goes Kessler.
14:37And the Lakers now have a five on four.
14:39Bobby Portis Jr. is an out.
14:42Turn, count, and dunk, score!
14:44They're counting that basket, and it looked like he was fouled almost before the catch.
14:50Yep.
14:50But they're going to give him continuation, I guess.
14:53Good pass from Luka.
14:55There's the foul.
14:55And they're saying, okay, let him go on and finish the play and count the basket.
15:04Some look by Luka.
15:06Had to be a pass right on point because it wasn't a lob by any stretch.
15:10It was a straight pass.
15:12And Davey Mitchell is a fine defender.
15:15Well, Walker, you might recall before last night, was struggling from the free throw line.
15:20But he made all four of his free throws last night.
15:23Now at 56%.
15:25He can't knock that one down.
15:27So, it's more like his average right there.
15:31Although he's shooting about 75% from the floor.
15:34And most of those dunks, to be honest, he has not shot a three.
15:38Play, fourth most threes in the history of the game is Klay Thompson.
15:43That's off and it's taken by Mahmoud.
15:45Hooking out of the middle man.
15:46It's Luka Doncic.
15:47Oh, right against Kessler.
15:49The same combination works.
15:51I tell you, that's going to be where you want to keep the ball.
15:55Because, again, they try to trap and blitz Luka.
15:59And Walker Kessler just runs right down the gut.
16:03Much better angle to see him.
16:05And the end result, another flush for Kessler.
16:09And that puts the Lakers up 23-17.
16:18Luka, he sets the tempo on the offensive end.
16:21Gets the Lakers off to a good start.
16:23Leads the league, as I mentioned, scoring in the first quarter.
16:26And what's he done so far?
16:2812 points, three rebounds, three assists.
16:31And these, you know, would become almost taking his scoring for granted.
16:36But his other areas have really been impressive.
16:39Whether it's the passing or the defense, rebounding.
16:42He's playing an all-around game.
16:45Now, Lakers have made eight out of nine to start the game.
16:47Seven assists on eight baskets.
16:50And Luka has dished.
16:52And he's been the recipient of a few, obviously.
16:57Efficient two, three out of four.
16:59Miami has Conwell, Larson Thompson, Adebayo, and Portis on the floor.
17:06Conwell, who looks like he might have been able to ride it up and in.
17:09He said he passes it outside, trying to force it, and they get it to Bam.
17:14Who throws it down?
17:15At that time, Walker Kessler was trying to cover more than one guy, so it wasn't on Walker.
17:20They just got fortunate to get it to Bam.
17:23By the way, Bam has become the franchise all-time leader in rebounds.
17:28Bam Adebayo, ten years.
17:30Only four Heat players, only four players that played ten years with the Heat.
17:34And he's one of them.
17:35Luka, and it's the back iron.
17:38Clay surveys the floor.
17:39Thompson, as he brings it up.
17:41He confronts Kessler in the corner.
17:44On the way, and that's Ryan Conwell.
17:48That left-handed made it look real easy.
17:53He's out of Louisville.
17:54He's a rookie.
17:56And he was two for two from the arc the last two games.
17:59Then he made it look easy, as Stu said, right there.
18:03Bamu rattles it in.
18:05Well, that's again, the result of the double team.
18:09Bamu was wide open.
18:11It's a very offensive first quarter right now.
18:14Bit of a brick there by Portis Jr.
18:16Leaking out.
18:17He's Luka!
18:18And he got the asset of the pass.
18:21The outlet pass, it was right there.
18:23Pella Larson down low.
18:25Can't hit.
18:26Rebound.
18:26Walker.
18:27Kessler, get out of my way, he says.
18:29This is mine.
18:31Gives it now to Doncic.
18:34Reeves with three assists.
18:36Luka with four.
18:37They turn it over.
18:38That's his second of the evening.
18:41All the way goes out of bile.
18:43Can't score.
18:44Rebound.
18:44Lakers have a chance for the break.
18:45Instead, they're holding on to it.
18:47Again, the presence of Kessler.
18:50Three blocks last night, but a ton of altered shots.
18:54And really drawing the whistle that time was Austin Reeves.
18:57You know, Austin very good at getting into pain.
19:00And as I've mentioned many times, via the dribble.
19:03And now he's earned himself a couple of free throws.
19:06And Portis looking up, saying, foul on me.
19:10Boy, what a veteran presence he provides.
19:13Really underrated, in my estimation.
19:1512 years in the league.
19:16He was a champ back in 2021.
19:21Three times top ten votes for sixth man of the year.
19:25There's Austin and his season so far.
19:28Hey, come on out on November the 6th for Lakers Live, presented by Michelob Ultra.
19:33You'll be able to take photos with the Laker girls, a championship trophy, a Laker legend.
19:37And you can participate in other fun games with prizes.
19:40It all takes place across from Crypto.com Arena in Peacock Place from 4 to 6.30.
19:51Austin, excellent free throw shooter.
19:53Misses the first of two.
19:55By the way, that's Friday night, November the 6th.
19:59And again, that's an NBA Cup game.
20:01Lakers are 13-4 in Cup play.
20:04Oh, all the way, Larson can't hit.
20:06But they need to win on Friday night to even keep their hopes alive.
20:11Mathematically, mathematically, they could lose, I guess.
20:13But here's Grimes.
20:15Boy, you just can't foul three-point shooters.
20:19And Portis has whistled for two in a row here.
20:22Did I say mathematically?
20:24Mathematically?
20:27Mathematically.
20:30Help me, Stu.
20:31Help me.
20:31Quentin Grimes ain't that much help in the world.
20:33I know there isn't.
20:35Quentin Grimes going to the line to shoot three.
20:41And he'll go back.
20:42Of course, putting in some big minutes.
20:44He played 26 minutes last night.
20:46Had seven points.
20:47It's good to see Zaire checking in here.
20:50Yeah, it's been a while.
20:53We last saw Zaire against Portland.
20:56Zaire.
20:59He had 11 points on the 27th of October against Portland.
21:06And, again, the defensive presence that he brings.
21:10Well, yeah, again, going to need some real presence now because Kessler went to the bench and Giannis came back
21:17on to the floor.
21:18So, it's got to be a team thing in the middle.
21:20Yeah, Williams stands 6-9 in the corner.
21:23Three on its way.
21:24And they hit another one from distance.
21:25And that guy will wear you out from beyond the arc.
21:29Tim Hardaway, Jr.
21:32He and Klay were the two best three-point shooters off the bench for their respective teams last year.
21:39Grimes can't hit it.
21:40So, they really have that three-point expertise as far as depth is concerned this year.
21:47Giannis, there he is.
21:48Is he going to hit it to the right side?
21:49No, he's not.
21:50Wasn't shy, obviously.
21:51Let go of it.
21:53And that's off the timer.
21:54Yeah, Bobby Portis over the back.
21:57Tipped it and hit the timer.
21:5924-second clock.
22:01You know, his scary stat, Bill.
22:03Tell me.
22:03Lakers are shooting 77% from the field.
22:06Yeah, and they're only up by six.
22:07Only up by six.
22:09I'll tell you what, Miami's only shooting 43.
22:12And only down by six.
22:13Yeah.
22:17Babu Kailashvili lob over to Vando, who's underneath, and he scores.
22:30Giannis.
22:32Sandro's on him.
22:34Giannis picks up the dribble, not on the right-hand side.
22:36Larson, right back to Giannis.
22:39There he is.
22:39Spinning in the lane.
22:40Then he goes up and under.
22:42Unable to finish it off.
22:44It'll go to the line for two.
22:47Very unusual for him to use his drop step, get an advantage, and then come back and not finish with
22:53the dunk.
22:53Here's the drop, comes back, and then lays it up easily, or gently, he thought, and didn't convert.
23:01That's usually a flush.
23:02Only a 60% free throw shooter, Giannis has two triple doubles already this year, became the second player.
23:11The Joker was the first to get multiple triple doubles this year.
23:1658 in his career.
23:20Which puts him one behind Larry Bird for 11th all-time.
23:34Short, knocked by the Lakers, I think, out of bounds.
23:37Yeah, it's going to be heat basketball with 14 to shoot.
23:41And that happens sometimes when you step, and you've got the inside position on free throw,
23:44and you step straight across the lane instead of stepping up the lane.
23:49Oh, Lakers, they knocked it away.
23:51I thought they fell asleep for a moment, but then they give it right back.
23:56And Conwell has control of it.
23:58Cordes Jr. drops it out of bounds.
24:00Well, he's mad at himself.
24:02Yeah, because they hit him in a bad spot.
24:04Right in the hands.
24:04Right in the hands.
24:06We saw Arabia do that a few minutes ago.
24:10In the final minute and a half of the first quarter, the Lakers lead 33-26.
24:15They led by as many as 10.
24:18Mabu Kilishvili glances off the rim and goes right to Pella Larson.
24:23Went to U of A for three years.
24:26Giannis, left-hand layup is good.
24:28Boy, that's tough to stop when he's in the key like that.
24:32Yeah, he's just a handful in the paint.
24:35He's a handful.
24:36Had 31 points Friday against the Pacers.
24:39Trying to split the defense and draw on the foul.
24:42His number 77.
24:45Again, when you're trying to be the guy assigned to Giannis,
24:48and he catches it anywhere near the paint,
24:51you just, that four-letter word really comes into play.
24:53Help!
24:56Nearly a 60-percenter from the floor here in the early part of the season.
25:01Let's check in with Michael downstairs.
25:03Billy, just a little bit more context behind Luka's ridiculous start here, right?
25:07So after, you know, didn't shoot the basketball great from three his first couple games.
25:11Since then, averaging about 43 points in the last four.
25:14And then you think about just the net rating and the plus-minus.
25:17So Luka averaging so far this year.
25:19Per 100 possessions, the Lakers are 15 points better than their opponents when he's on the floor.
25:23That is off the charts.
25:25It's just been ridiculous so far.
25:28Yeah, not a whole lot of negatives, if there are any at all,
25:31for Luka so far this season.
25:34Again, I'm just, I'm just more impressed with his play on the other end.
25:39His defense is really good.
25:43Yeah, he's dialed in in that department.
25:45And so is Mamu Kalashvili.
25:47Here comes Zaire.
25:49Kick it.
25:49Grimes.
25:50Had it if he wanted.
25:51Now he's going to wander in the lane right back to Zaire for three.
25:55That's good.
25:56Strong rebound by Giannis, who averages 12 and a half.
26:00Turnover.
26:01Williams nearly traveled.
26:03He threw that right.
26:05Two's out here.
26:06Easy steal for him.
26:09Here Luka, who will be sitting in about a half a minute.
26:12Three.
26:13Don't get the bounce.
26:14Boy, Grimes came flying in.
26:16Got a hand on it.
26:18Miami will work for the last shot.
26:20Shot clock has been put to bed for the first 12-minute stanza here at Crypto.com Arena.
26:26Laker lead is seven.
26:28We've only had one lead change in the first quarter.
26:39That's the first time, Zaire, free throw time.
26:42Miami bottom five as a team shooting free throws this year.
26:47This is the start of a five-game roadie for them out west.
26:52They get the Clippers in a couple of nights at Golden State, Sacramento, and Utah.
26:57I'm sure they're looking at that as all winnable games on the road.
27:04That's Giannis at the free throw line.
27:06The Lakers just have to be careful on this inbounds pass after the free throw.
27:11He'll take his time.
27:22Yeah, just to get to the line, he takes time.
27:24And then when he's there, he doesn't rush things.
27:28Well, technically, he has 10 seconds after he receives the ball from the official.
27:3419 assists combined on 21 baskets for the two teams.
27:39Lakers 65 percent, 20 percentage points better than Miami shooting in the first quarter.
27:49The Lakers have made six more free throws, too.
27:53And their lead is five.
27:56Luca with three, with two.
27:58Mamu's going to get the last shot with the right hand!
28:01The runner!
28:04That's a good look by Mamu.
28:06I mean, he caught the pass.
28:08He knew he had a lane, and he attacked and shot it just in the nick of time.
28:14So they played 12 minutes.
28:15The Lakers have been back and forth in this first quarter, but right now, they're in front.
28:2137 to 30.
28:28First quarter, how about 67 between the two?
28:30Lakers with a seven-point lead.
28:32Here he is!
28:33One above his average, Stu!
28:34We talk about it every night.
28:35I mean, it's just so consistent.
28:37I mean, yeah, the average is 15 on the year and 16 in this one.
28:41So, you know what you can expect from Luca.
28:44All right, Lakers start the second with Bible Sexton, Williams, Reeves, and Mamu Kalish-Neely.
28:51So only two starters out on the floor.
28:56And one of them is Reeves, of course, and he's going to get control of it and shoot a three,
29:02and he's got it!
29:03Yes, sir!
29:04Now, that was a good ball movement.
29:05Good ball movement.
29:06I was going to say, good ball movement.
29:07Yeah.
29:07Very good ball movement.
29:09Found the open man, Reeves.
29:11No, Reeves did the good thing by stepping through the double team to get the pass away.
29:16He was just good, quick, fast pass, if you will.
29:20Quick.
29:21Conwell, wants to get into the lane.
29:24Does nearly travel.
29:25And he scores!
29:27As he turns and fires it in.
29:30Not 10 feet.
29:31He's right!
29:32He's right!
29:33He's right!
29:33He's right!
29:34He's right!
29:35He's right!
29:35Reeves will walk it into the frontcourt, the attacking 47.
29:39That's what you do.
29:40Get rid of the ball right before the double team is actually upon you.
29:45Williams not a sexton.
29:47He brings out aggression every single night.
29:49Had a good game yesterday.
29:52Bounced by Mamu and a whistle before the shot.
29:56No shot.
29:58Again, another look at that play where Austin got the pass from Matisse and drilled a three-pointer.
30:05Inside out.
30:07And Matisse knew what he was doing right away.
30:10Boy, he just swung right over to A.R.
30:14Short clock.
30:16Mamu gets by his man for a moment that nearly stumbles out of bounds and turns it over.
30:21Except Lawson dropped it out of bounds.
30:23The only good thing is, was their possession there by Miami?
30:26I don't think so.
30:28They're saying yes, so they're going to give the Lakers a full 24 on the play.
30:34So, got a break there.
30:37So, Zaire, it's good to see him back out on the floor after missing a couple of games.
30:43It's five out of six on the road after tonight for Los Angeles.
30:47Reaves the backhand layup.
30:49Oh, it just was right on the rim.
30:52Refused to go down.
30:53Portis Jr.
30:54A little fake on the three.
30:55Then he rolls in.
30:56And the floater is good from Bobby Portis Jr.
31:00And Austin missed that shot.
31:02That's his bread and butter.
31:05Portis has at least one three in every game.
31:08Mamu tries a three.
31:11And the rebound belongs to Giannis.
31:13He's out there with Hardaway, Portis, Larson, and Mitchell.
31:17Are we going to count that?
31:18They should.
31:19They're going to count on the other end.
31:21It's good for Giannis.
31:22And one.
31:26Well, when he's got a head of steam coming at you, you really have some problems.
31:30There's a contact from Matisse.
31:33Continuation off the window.
31:35So, he gets the end one.
31:36Just like that, it's a four-point game.
31:41Mike, what you got?
31:42Well, clearly, especially in the last couple of games, right?
31:45This second unit hasn't been as sharp as the starters.
31:48And now, look, it's hard to with how well the starters have played.
31:50J.J. said that it's important not to overreact to the results, though.
31:54So, the results in terms of plus-minus haven't been great.
31:57Some of the process of that, he said, is okay.
31:59Some of it isn't.
32:00But, just an example, like Austin getting to the hoop, not finishing.
32:04Mamu Kalashvili, the last position, missing a three.
32:06They're getting good shots, but for whatever reason, not falling.
32:08So, trying not to overreact, he thinks it'll get better.
32:11Yeah, I'm sure he's right.
32:12I think it will get better.
32:14And just going back to last night, great pass underneath, and Kessler gets fouled.
32:18What happened at the end of the game when the Lakers really had it in tow
32:22with about two and a half minutes to play, and then the third string, if you will,
32:26came into the game, and they couldn't hold it at all.
32:29And as J.J. said last night, if they're not ready to play, I'm not putting them in.
32:33Well, we got another challenge here as they've called the foul on Giannis.
32:37And Eric Sposter said, uh, that's my star.
32:40I think I'll challenge that one and see if I can keep that foul away from him.
32:44Miami is challenging the foul on Antetokounmpo.
32:4540-36, Lakers with 940 left.
32:52Well, the Lakers had a successful challenge earlier.
32:55Will Miami have the same verdict?
32:57After review, Antetokounmpo makes illegal contact to the basketball
33:00and marginal contact to the arm after the ball is being knocked loose
33:04in the immediate aftermath, Miami has possession of the ball.
33:08This is a successful challenge.
33:10Miami has charged the timeout, but they will have a challenge later in the game.
33:14It all evens out.
33:16Giannis saves a foul.
33:20Yeah, he picked up one early in the ballgame, and he still has just the one now
33:25to go along with 10 points, four boards, and three assists.
33:29By the way, a belated happy birthday to Eric Spolstra.
33:32Celebrated number 56 yesterday.
33:3632nd birthday as a member of the Miami Heat organization.
33:40And part of what they like to call the heat culture.
33:44That's by Pat Riley and the entire front office.
33:47The owners on down.
33:50Nine and a half to play here in the second quarter.
33:52Hardaway's open.
33:53You know he's taking that one.
33:55Waves around and comes out.
33:56Kessler took it right away from his teammate, Williams.
33:58That's fine.
34:00And it's his fourth rebound tonight.
34:04Collin directing traffic.
34:06Now the big pick by Kessler.
34:08Sexton gets the roll, man.
34:10Kick it out.
34:11Fiegel on its way.
34:12Down it goes.
34:14Likes that corner, doesn't he?
34:17Nice quick release.
34:19Six made threes for the Lake Show.
34:2250% so far tonight.
34:24Wide open his eyes.
34:25How about that?
34:27Back screen on the weak side, and nobody was talking.
34:30Nobody was looking or talking.
34:33So the easy dunk.
34:36Five-point game again.
34:38Okay, we won't see Luka for a couple of more minutes.
34:41About halfway through the quarter.
34:42He'll make an appearance.
34:44Williams!
34:45So they're at it again.
34:47Three-point shooter.
34:49Lakers made 18 of them last night.
34:52The win over Toronto.
34:53Same thing.
34:54Down low.
34:55Larson is the one who scores.
34:57That timeout by J.J.
34:59And this one is strictly to tell us guys,
35:01look, we've got to communicate out here
35:03as they have back-to-back baskets
35:06where nobody's close as Theibel says,
35:09give me the ball in the corner
35:10and let me do my thing.
35:18But right now, it's Stu's Spotlight
35:20being brought to you by
35:21at Marendo Casino Resort and Spa.
35:24Good times, Stu.
35:25This shows you what happens
35:26when you move without the ball
35:28and the guy that's guarding you
35:29doesn't keep an eye on you.
35:31Bam out of Iowa is guarding Theibel here.
35:34Bam is so interested in staying attached
35:37and looking to get to Luka
35:38that he forgets about Theibel,
35:40and Theibel makes an easy play to Kessler.
35:43That's what happens
35:43when you don't play fundamental defense.
35:47Well, Arabia's back in the game.
35:48Had three early turnovers.
35:51Again, sharing the ball.
35:5214 on 15.
35:54What a great percentage that is.
35:57Sexton over Theibel.
35:58This will be another assist if he makes it.
36:00Does not.
36:01Rebound on a strong one by Jake.
36:04Sexton will try it from the outside
36:05and the rebound up to get it.
36:07Right now is Jovich, who's been hurt.
36:13And he loses it.
36:18Arabia into the front court for the late show.
36:21And we got Pella Larson on the deck,
36:24and that's going to be an offensive foul on Matisse.
36:30Well, again, we're in judgment again.
36:32Was that a legitimate call,
36:35or was that more of a flop?
36:39Well, the heat right now.
36:40They are fourth in the entire NBA
36:42in points of the paint.
36:43They only had eight in the first quarter,
36:45but early on in this one,
36:46they have eight already.
36:48No, that's, I mean,
36:49you're talking about Giannis.
36:50Yes, sir.
36:51That's why.
36:51That guy gets into the paint.
36:53Almost in real.
36:54He's trying to get in there right now.
36:56And is.
36:56He's turning.
36:58He's trying to go up and under.
36:59Walker stayed right with us.
37:01Mitchell fires and gets the lucky bounce,
37:04or the shooter's bounce, shall I say.
37:06Nice arc on the shot.
37:07Can you get that with the arc?
37:10Reed's trying to bully his way in.
37:12He was out of control a little bit right there,
37:14and they're going to bail him out.
37:16There are still times when Austin has his head.
37:19He's been over so low,
37:21and his head is a little bit ahead of his feet,
37:23and it's easy to knock him off balance sometimes.
37:31Well, until the Ravia got that offensive rebound,
37:34there had only been one offensive rebound in the game,
37:37and that was by Pam out of Bio.
37:41So that happens when both teams are shooting well over 50%.
37:44Yeah.
37:44There are no second chance points on the board.
37:52Mitchell trying to guard Sexton now switching off.
37:55Wiggins has caught it.
37:56Oh!
37:57High off the glass to score.
37:59That was against a taller defender and a real good defender.
38:02Yeah, Wiggins 6'6.
38:04Giannis back and layup lead.
38:06He's good.
38:07Rolls around and one.
38:09And his entire bench will come help him out.
38:13Another look at Sexton throwing it over the top of Wiggins.
38:16He'll slip off the window for two,
38:18but then they get it in quickly to Giannis,
38:21and he just takes it the distance.
38:24And, I mean, when he gets into the paint,
38:26so athletic.
38:28Nice touch.
38:29He'll spin on it,
38:30and three-point opportunity to make this a two-point game.
38:33You know, Giannis has now played in all seven games,
38:37and I mention that because for one reason or another,
38:40he can't put a streak together,
38:41but this is his longest games-played streak
38:45since last December and January
38:48when he played in 13 in a row.
38:53Sexton, nobody picks him up.
38:55Boy, he just blew past everyone to lay it up and in.
38:58Open the gate.
38:59Why don't you hear?
39:00They gave him a free pass.
39:02And no secondary defender.
39:05Mitchell, by the way, three for three.
39:06He popped three.
39:09Giannis, what going on here?
39:11Offensive foul.
39:12A lot going on here.
39:14I tell you, that had to hurt.
39:17That one had to hurt.
39:20Jake took all of that one, boy.
39:23I mean, he took all of that one.
39:28Eric Spolster is truly upset.
39:30Another look.
39:32Giannis goes up.
39:35Block from Kessler.
39:37Yep.
39:37But the key is,
39:38how is Jake as he goes down,
39:41and Giannis lands right on top of him,
39:46so hopefully he's going to be okay.
39:48Miami is challenging the only time.
39:49By four.
39:54Now, and they are about to give us the call.
39:57After review,
39:57LaRavia illegally slides into position
40:00after upward shooting motion.
40:03This is being overturned to a blocking foul on LaRavia.
40:06Also, while reviewing the play,
40:07the ball is illegally blocked off the glass.
40:11So this now becomes an and one for Antetokounmpo.
40:14We will shoot one free throw off of the goaltending.
40:17This is their second challenge.
40:18They do not have any more challenges in the game,
40:20and they are charged this time out.
40:22What did I say?
40:24A lot was going on there.
40:26That was exactly what happened.
40:28Jake took all of this for nothing.
40:31And there's the illegal block,
40:33and it's an and one.
40:34I don't know about the illegal block,
40:36because it didn't touch the glass
40:37before Kessler touched it.
40:41So the goaltend.
40:42But they call goaltending,
40:44and it's a three-point opportunity.
40:46And Giannis has 17 points,
40:48four rebounds,
40:50five assists.
40:52Three throws tonight,
40:53five for eight.
40:54So this is already his ninth free throw.
40:57LaRavia was in about 100.
41:01about an hour early,
41:02I should say.
41:03Yeah,
41:03I can't.
41:04I don't know what he was doing.
41:05Well,
41:05the rhythm that,
41:07Giannis,
41:07you've got to be patient.
41:08He kind of threw Jake off,
41:10and Jake was leaning to begin with.
41:14We're at the 634 mark.
41:16It's getting close to.
41:20Now,
41:20Luka's back in.
41:21Oh,
41:21yeah,
41:21he's back in,
41:22but he's getting close to that point
41:23where the Lakers have got to start to really
41:26start to assert themselves yet again.
41:29But you've got Luka back in.
41:31So Luka joins Sexton,
41:33LaRavia,
41:34Kessler,
41:34and Reeves.
41:37All right,
41:38by the way,
41:39Laker fans,
41:39tacos are on the line.
41:40If the Lakers win,
41:41you're going to win two free tacos
41:42with any drink purchase tomorrow
41:44from George to the Bucs.
41:46Let's go tacos,
41:46and come on,
41:47let's go Lakers.
41:50Gave away tacos last night.
41:52Love to do it again this evening.
41:54Dodgich,
41:55Kessler,
41:56working on the perimeter.
41:58There's Reeves.
42:00Shoulder down,
42:00trying to get to the rim.
42:01Lows it high off the board.
42:03Offensive rebound,
42:04Walker Kessler.
42:05He's got a two underneath.
42:07That's what I'm,
42:08second chance point.
42:09That's what I'm talking about.
42:12Mr. Thompson.
42:14Quick,
42:15quick response.
42:17Mr. Thompson,
42:18whose dad is about 15 feet to my left.
42:21Right now,
42:23working and watching.
42:25Reeves,
42:25good ball moving again
42:26to the guy you want with the basketball.
42:28But Luka can't hit.
42:30So Luka from three tonight
42:31is two to five.
42:34And a turnover.
42:35That's definitely on Giannis.
42:37That's their ninth.
42:38Clay was open in the corner,
42:40but Giannis off the dribble pass,
42:42went out of bounds.
42:43Another look at Kessler.
42:44I've been talking about rebounding
42:46and then just powering it back up.
42:48Good job that time
42:49by Kessler.
42:50I had alluded to it.
42:51That's the first second chance basket
42:53for either side tonight.
42:57We've got 544 clocks moving.
42:59Hope you're enjoying it here
43:00on Spectrum Sportsnet.
43:02We'll be in Sacramento
43:03on Wednesday.
43:05Team leaves tomorrow.
43:06Get a chance to see the Kings
43:08who have not won a game.
43:10Last team who have gone winless.
43:13Underneath.
43:16Good penetration at time by Sexton.
43:21Mitchell brings it back out.
43:26Oh, and by the way,
43:27Sacramento beat Dallas.
43:28So forget that old news.
43:30So Sacramento will be looking
43:32for back-to-back wins on Wednesday.
43:35They beat Dallas.
43:40Free throws attempted.
43:41We mentioned how Giannis
43:42has already been to the line.
43:45What, eight times?
43:46He's the only person from the heat.
43:48Exactly right.
43:49That's been to the line.
43:50Nobody else.
43:51Wide open!
43:52They take it away from everybody.
43:55Sometimes it's better
43:55to be lucky than good.
43:57Yes.
43:57That was a lucky pass
43:59they got through.
44:00How much do you love
44:01turning around and seeing
44:02nobody between you
44:03and the basket.
44:04That was the luxury
44:05that Jake saw.
44:07Another look at that pass.
44:09Look at what goes through
44:10two Miami Heat players.
44:13And all of a sudden,
44:14Jake says,
44:15let me just make this real simple.
44:19What a pass.
44:23Six assists,
44:25four rebounds,
44:2616 points
44:27for Luka.
44:29and they dump it inside.
44:31With eight to shoot now.
44:34Bam!
44:34Oh, wow!
44:35Jovic is wide open.
44:37There were two players
44:38from the heat wide open.
44:40You know,
44:41he's just being one of them.
44:44Sixth game this year
44:45that Jovic has played.
44:49Luka.
44:50Mammu thought about it.
44:52Now drives,
44:52goes all the way
44:53and scores again.
44:55Tell you what,
44:56he's got a variety of shots,
44:58doesn't he?
44:58And they run him off to three.
45:01This is going to not
45:03be a turnover.
45:04Very close.
45:05Wiggins tore the line.
45:07Went back and got it.
45:08Eleven to shoot.
45:09He'll try a three.
45:10Bit of a flat shot.
45:11But it's down for three
45:13for Andrew Wiggins.
45:16By the way,
45:16from Canada,
45:17the most points
45:18of any Canadian
45:19in the NBA.
45:23Oh, good ball move
45:24at that time
45:25as Sexton
45:26without the basketball
45:27goes to the rim.
45:28You can help
45:29your teammates so much
45:30by just moving
45:31without the basketball.
45:35Thompson again.
45:37Southern California
45:38product.
45:38Mento Santa Margarita
45:40High School.
45:41He's in double figures
45:42with Jim.
45:42Yeah,
45:43then to Washington State.
45:45And all those
45:46great years
45:46at Golden State.
45:48Don't get it.
45:49Got it!
45:52Lose will be careful.
45:53You don't want
45:54to get a tee.
45:55First play did play
45:56with Luka.
45:58for Estelle
45:59in Dallas.
46:01Luka being
46:02demonstrative
46:03in a celebratory way.
46:05Wiggins,
46:06drive kick,
46:07Mitchell.
46:08Wow,
46:09a three-second violation?
46:11When does that
46:12ever happen?
46:13When?
46:13We thought they
46:14erased that
46:15from the rule book.
46:15Another look at
46:16Luka shooting
46:17over the top
46:17of the defender
46:18for his 19th
46:20point of the
46:21first half.
46:23Wanted to foul.
46:24Kept telling
46:24the official,
46:25he's hitting me
46:25on my arm.
46:26He's hitting me
46:26on my arm.
46:29Here come the
46:30Lakers
46:31with the
46:31seventh best
46:32record
46:32in the NBA
46:33early on.
46:35This is game
46:36number eight
46:37of 82.
46:39Oh,
46:39behind the back
46:40it finds
46:41Mabu.
46:42Oh,
46:42what a rebound!
46:44Gliding in
46:45and scoring
46:45is Quentin Grimes.
46:48Good presence
46:49of mine.
46:50Perfectly red.
46:52Good thing the
46:52ladies are getting
46:53a second chance
46:53opportunities
46:54because in
46:55this quarter
46:56the Heat
46:56are 12
46:57out of 15.
46:58And bam!
46:59Can't hit
46:59after the rebound.
47:00Lakers are up
47:01by six
47:01with the basketball.
47:03Mabu Kidd is
47:04really.
47:05Luka,
47:05boy,
47:05the crowd
47:06was ready
47:06to rise.
47:07They're gonna
47:07get Luka
47:08driving away
47:08anyway!
47:09Count it!
47:11And one
47:11for the Don!
47:14Luka goes in
47:15with the left hand,
47:16gets the blocking
47:17foul,
47:18he'll be going
47:18to the line
47:19to see if he
47:20can convert
47:21point number
47:2222 here
47:23in the first
47:24half,
47:25still 225
47:25to play,
47:26switch to your
47:27left,
47:28softly off the
47:29window,
47:29get the roll,
47:31watch it go
47:32through the
47:32bottom of the
47:33net.
47:36Technical foul
47:37here,
47:37is it on
47:38Bam?
47:42Luka said,
47:42I don't care
47:43who it's against,
47:44just let me get
47:44to the line
47:45as Austin
47:46Reese said,
47:46nah,
47:47I think I'll
47:47shoot the T.
47:49Lakers
47:49putting up
47:50a ton of
47:50points,
47:5268 now,
47:54no one
47:55crawls over
47:56the rim,
47:57frustrated
47:58Miami bunch,
48:03right now
48:04Bam has
48:05a lot
48:05to say
48:07to anyone
48:07who will
48:08listen,
48:14a chance
48:15cascade
48:16down
48:17from
48:19quicko.com
48:20the upper
48:21deck
48:2469-59
48:25the Lakers
48:26have opened up
48:26a 10-point lead,
48:27this match is the
48:28biggest of the game,
48:29Mitchell,
48:31Wiggins
48:31little crossover
48:32trying to get around
48:33Luka
48:33and does,
48:34but can't finish,
48:35that was a heartbreak
48:36and Bam gets fouled.
48:43Outta Bayou,
48:45coming off of the season-high,
48:4727 points,
48:50this will be his first free throws over the ball game.
48:5220-plus,
48:54three of the last four,
48:54I mentioned a slow start.
48:56Steve,
48:57you're absolutely right.
48:59One field goal
49:00and no free throws.
49:029-0,
49:03Laker run.
49:07How about this right now
49:08from
49:09Jug in the Box.
49:11A munchie meal of horror,
49:13only at
49:13Cresti in the Box.
49:15Jug in the Box.
49:16Bucks.
49:24Bam-bam.
49:25Outta Bayou.
49:27I know you're just dying to tell this story.
49:30I don't have a new one for you.
49:31I'll come up with some.
49:34Grab, grab, grab.
49:35Yeah, you're probably moving the car
49:36in the garage.
49:37All of it.
49:39Ooh, yes.
49:41Drives!
49:44Well, if they continue
49:45to double-team Luka like that,
49:48guys are gonna have to continue
49:49to knock down shots.
49:50Yeah, I think last year
49:51I had them moving to an RV,
49:53lifting an entire RV.
49:54Here's Mitchell for three.
49:57Take it out by Reeves
49:58as he'll bring it up.
49:59So they answer back.
50:0272-64.
50:04Unable to shake them
50:05even though they're shooting 65%.
50:07But Miami,
50:08you talked about how great
50:09they're shooting in the quarter.
50:10They're up for 58% in the game.
50:12Yeah.
50:13They've been languishing
50:14in the low 40s.
50:15And it's a turnover.
50:17Reeves is now on the deck.
50:18So a tough play
50:20all around for Austin.
50:22Loses it,
50:23falls down,
50:24and they score in transition.
50:25A technical foul
50:26on Luka Doncic.
50:29It's just so difficult
50:31to use a crossover dribble
50:34when the defender
50:35is so close to you.
50:36It's just very,
50:38very difficult.
50:39There's a spatial thing
50:40that we used to try
50:42to teach
50:42when to use the crossover.
50:46And as Luka,
50:46as you mentioned,
50:47picked up the tee.
50:48Klay Thompson
50:49will shoot the free throw.
50:52Klay Thompson,
50:53that is just his second
50:55free throw of the year.
50:57Of course,
50:58he shoots so many
50:58perimeter shots.
50:59he's a catch-shoot guy.
51:03And they get out
51:04and transition
51:05and look at Giannis
51:07just freewheeling
51:09to the basket.
51:10one, two, three steps
51:12from half court,
51:13basically.
51:15That's a bit of an exaggeration,
51:16but it seems like it.
51:18Doncic
51:20waving off.
51:22Grimes came over.
51:23Now Luka,
51:24he's mad all right.
51:26Right now,
51:26Grimes kicking out.
51:28Reeves open for threes.
51:30Got it!
51:30Yes, sir!
51:32They are from downtown.
51:34Drive and kick.
51:35Drive and kick.
51:36Seen a lot of that.
51:38Lakers,
51:3910 made threes.
51:41Right in front of the
51:42Miami bench,
51:43we've got a whistle.
51:44By the way,
51:45Lakers are out of fouls.
51:46Miami has
51:47one to give.
51:51Under a minute.
51:52Remember,
51:53we're sending it
51:53to the studio.
51:54They are standing by
51:56in El Segundo.
51:58Hit for the 12th season.
52:00Pechanga and the Lakers
52:01are supporting local
52:02veterans through
52:03the Hoops for Troops
52:04program.
52:04Pechanga Resort Casino,
52:06official sponsor
52:07of your Lakers.
52:10I would assume
52:11in the second half,
52:12one of these two teams
52:14is going to cool off.
52:15Both teams are putting up
52:17massive numbers
52:18here in the first.
52:19Yeah,
52:19and a huge assist number
52:21for the Lakers.
52:21I mean huge.
52:2221 in the first half.
52:24Out of 27 baskets.
52:25Yeah.
52:26Good stuff.
52:30The key is
52:31can they continue
52:32that kind of
52:33toward shooting.
52:34Luka with 22.
52:35Reeves with 10.
52:36The only one
52:37to double figures
52:37for the Lakers.
52:38Three double figures
52:39for the Heat.
52:41Luka nearly threw it
52:42out of bounds.
52:43Oh,
52:44and right to Mamu
52:45from Williams.
52:47We've been a couple
52:48of plays
52:48where the Lakers
52:49have had
52:51some real luck.
52:52They get 22 assists.
52:55Mamu Kidd is really
52:56has nine.
52:58Play Thompson's
52:58got three more.
53:03Born to shoot,
53:04Stu.
53:04He's a shooter.
53:05He's a bona fide shooter.
53:07Born to shoot.
53:07One of the greatest
53:08in the history
53:09of the game.
53:13Donchish.
53:14Shot clock is off.
53:15Game clock is at five.
53:17And Luka gets fouled.
53:18Count it!
53:19Count it!
53:21A fortunate bounce!
53:23You know how strong
53:24you have to be
53:25to do that
53:25because he got hit
53:26pretty effectively
53:27on the shooting arm area
53:30and did a good job
53:31of taking the contact
53:33and then putting it up
53:36and getting the friendly bounce.
53:38A free throw
53:39gets the Lakers
53:40to 80.
53:42It's a lot of points.
53:47Shooting 67%
53:48from the field.
53:49I'm sure Eric Sposter
53:51at halftime
53:52is going to say
53:52the same thing
53:53that J.J. Reddick
53:54is going to say
53:55at halftime.
53:55They can't continue
53:56to shoot that high
53:57of a percentage.
53:58Who knows?
53:59But the heater
54:00the heater
54:01shooting 60%.
54:02Oh, he doesn't
54:03get them to 80.
54:04They've got three seconds.
54:05Two seconds.
54:06Bam's got to fire it
54:07for the half court.
54:08And does.
54:09But what an offensive
54:11display by both teams.
54:12Yeah, I mean
54:12this was an offensive
54:13display tonight.
54:15Let's see what
54:15the defense does.
54:16Alright, here's Mike
54:17with Coach.
54:18Well, J.J.,
54:19Luka's got a line
54:19that most NBA players
54:21would be thrilled with
54:21for a game here at
54:22where he's going to be.
