Hilary Duff joins Billboard’s Takes Us Out at Loose Cannon to talk the Lucky Me Tour, setlist surprises, and finally reclaiming the iconic “With Love” dance. From “Small Rooms, Big Nerves” to arena nights, Hilary breaks down what it took to feel confident onstage again.
Over the Marlow (an iced cortado with salted maple cloud foam), wine, and a tuna melt, Hilary dishes on fan requests like adding “The Math,” the song she’s not ready to put back in the set, and her pre-show rituals (bathroom warmups, squats, and the “pink bubble”). Plus: dream collabs, spooky season energy (“we have witches inside”), and the throwback moments she never wants to relive.

00:00It's inside, too. We have witches inside.
00:02What's going on with you? What's inside of you?
00:04Hello, Hilary Doe.
00:05Hi. How are you? I'm great. How are you?
00:08I'm so excited. We're here at Loose Cannon.
00:10Why did you choose to bring me here?
00:12One of my best friends of all time and her husband
00:16opened this neighborhood spot.
00:18Such a cutie little gem.
00:20Always a line out the door.
00:22Craziest breakfast sandwich you ever had.
00:24I'm not having the breakfast sandwich today.
00:26It's very hot out and it's already like almost 4.
00:30No breakfast sandwich for me at 4 p.m.
00:32I love this area that we're in.
00:34I feel like we're at this corner cafe.
00:36It's giving Gilmore Girls.
00:38Only we don't have the fall weather today.
00:40October is like the time you think,
00:42oh, we're about to have some reprieve.
00:44No, hottest month until Halloween day,
00:47which is a night that you're outside with your kids.
00:49Right. All of a sudden,
00:50ooh, I need a jacket. You're like, what?
00:52I feel like when it's time,
00:54October 1st, a wind should
00:56rush through the city.
00:58And everyone should.
00:59How do we summon that to happen?
01:01I really don't know. What are we doing wrong?
01:03I actually met a witch last night.
01:05Maybe I'll see. I know.
01:07We'll get into that a little bit.
01:08I am a witch. It's so weird.
01:09My spells aren't working.
01:12Come on, babes. Get it going.
01:14The weather's not something I've been focusing on,
01:15but maybe I should.
01:17Well, let's go ahead and let's head on inside, shall we?
01:20Yeah. I'm so ready for this coffee.
01:22Ugh. The Marlowe. I dream about it.
01:31You ordered me something. Tell me about what is this beautiful concoction.
01:34I actually cast a spell and then it appeared.
01:37No, y'all don't realize.
01:38The two of my most important things appeared.
01:40Love you. Love you. We love her.
01:41Okay, so this is my friend's perfect concoction.
01:47It's truly a thing of beauty.
01:48It's called the Marlowe,
01:50and I'm sure they have to make hundreds a day.
01:53And I've made this cold foam in the kitchen here,
01:55so I know what a chore it is to make.
01:57Okay. But it's basically an iced cortado.
01:59My favorite.
02:00With cloud foam on top. Salted maple.
02:02Am I right? Salted maple cold foam on top.
02:04Not that they put you to work.
02:06I know.
02:10Obviously, I know that your best friend and her husband own this spot,
02:14but what is a typical day for you coming by Loose Cannon?
02:17Like, what's that flow?
02:19It's like to get 15 minutes with my friend, who's also a busy mom.
02:22So it's usually after school drop off, and it's a little out of my way.
02:26So I will hop on the freeway, tell her I'm coming, swing by.
02:30We'll have a cute little stroll down the street.
02:32I did come into the kitchen, and I was like, teach me how to do a thing.
02:37And now I love to make the cold foam at home.
02:39I'm not quite as good as it.
02:41I don't put like a fancy espresso bean.
02:43Do a nice little dividing line.
02:45No, and what is this?
02:46Thanks for coming in.
02:47Hi, thank you.
02:48Nice to see you.
02:49We're just bragging on this drink.
02:52It's the best.
02:53Let me guess, food, tuna milk?
02:54Yeah.
02:55Okay.
02:55You too?
02:56Times two.
02:56Okay, I got you guys.
02:57Plus up that.
02:58Thank you so much.
02:59Plus up that.
03:00I would love to play a little game with you while we're here.
03:04I would love a game.
03:05Also, I'm going to get into this wine.
03:06Like, bring me down, bring me up.
03:09Exactly.
03:09I could use a glass of water, a little hydration would be nice.
03:12Well, every baddie needs three filled beverages in front of her at all times.
03:17So, cheers.
03:18Amen.
03:18Clink to that, sister.
03:19So line them up.
03:20We are going to have five questions.
03:22If you don't want to answer the question, you have to take a sip of wine.
03:25Okay.
03:26And if you answer the question and you brave the task, then I will take a sip of wine.
03:30Okay.
03:30So don't make me drink alone.
03:32Okay.
03:32Choose some that I don't want to answer.
03:33Okay, great.
03:34Yeah.
03:34Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:34Let's see if we can get one from you.
03:36Okay.
03:36Sometimes you might be an open book.
03:37Okay.
03:38We're talking about friends.
03:39We're talking about being close with the girlies and finding time.
03:43Fans think of you as their coolest friend, but I want to know who's your coolest friend
03:48and what is the spiciest girls night out memory.
03:52I can't choose my closest friend.
03:54I can't.
03:54I have too many long time girlfriends that are like truly ride or dies.
03:58Right.
03:59But there's some that I have more wild times with than others.
04:02I'm like spicy.
04:03Like my spiciest night is kind of evil.
04:05Like a long time ago, pre-children, this guy was doing my friend real dirty.
04:11And we were hitting the bottle.
04:15Yes.
04:15We were spicy.
04:16Yes.
04:17And we went and bought like the cheapest, grossest, like can of like wieners and like tuna.
04:26And we just had a little field day on his front lawn.
04:28I love that.
04:29That was pretty spicy, but that was like in my, like maybe in my late teen hood, that
04:33was one of the spiciest nights.
04:34I'm trying to think like, I'm really not a big goer outer, but like, I love to get
04:38real toasty with my friends.
04:39Yeah.
04:39And that looks like hanging on their couch till like 3, 4 AM.
04:43That's the kind of spicy that I'm into as well.
04:45Okay.
04:45But like nothing wild happens.
04:46It's just like, oh my God, look down.
04:49We might be like playing Rummy Cube and rolling on the floor laughing.
04:53And then I'm like, oh my God, I have soccer at 7 15.
04:58Call the Uber.
04:59Call the Uber right now.
05:01Yeah.
05:01We got to go.
05:02It actually just happened after my forum show.
05:05Yeah.
05:05I was like about to go home.
05:06I had two shows in a row.
05:08Those two nights, whatever.
05:09And I was like, I got to go home.
05:11And they were like, you're coming with us.
05:13And the party bus was like chaos.
05:15The party bus.
05:15My husband was like, go and don't call me.
05:18I'll see you later.
05:19I know.
05:19I love your husband, by the way.
05:21That's a great husband.
05:22Husbands.
05:23He is.
05:23Y'all know what to do.
05:25Let your wife have some fun with her girl.
05:26Yeah, for sure.
05:27Good man.
05:27Solid man.
05:28Okay.
05:29So that's for me.
05:29Oh wait, I can't shit.
05:30I really want to drink with you.
05:32Well, just drink with me.
05:33Oh, you'll do that one.
05:34You'll sit that one.
05:35Okay.
05:35Okay.
05:35That's fair.
05:36You were just talking about tour.
05:38Small rooms, big nerves.
05:40It had been almost two decades since you had hit the road.
05:44Yeah.
05:44Talk about like the journey from going from those four shows to where we are now in the
05:50Lucky Me tour.
05:51Small rooms, big nerves title came across, came about like so earnestly.
05:56It was exactly the feeling.
05:58I was just like, felt so like really scared, truly terrified.
06:04Like it's this weird feeling of like being on a bicycle and knowing what to do.
06:10But you're like, I maybe have a broken leg.
06:13I don't know.
06:14I can ride this bike right now.
06:15You know?
06:16Yeah.
06:16It was terrifying.
06:17Those, those first, like, I'd say the first two shows were super terrifying.
06:21London and Toronto also had a stomach flu in Toronto.
06:24That was a wild time.
06:25That's so scary.
06:26But the coolest part about that is when you're sick, sometimes something else takes over
06:30and your body's just like, lock in.
06:33We're going for the next 90 minutes and then you can do whatever, like we can fall apart.
06:37But like, I had a great show.
06:39So it was really, really cool to like kind of be faced with some of those challenges that
06:43just happened on tour and being like, okay, I can do this again.
06:46I'm strong.
06:46I'm powerful.
06:48I am like capable.
06:49And then just to find myself slowly, like the confidence happened quickly because the
06:54crowds were like wrapping me up.
06:58Like they were just coming and decked and loud and knew all the words, songs old and
07:03new.
07:04Like it was just like a love fest to the max.
07:07And I was like, I got this.
07:09Okay.
07:10I'm back.
07:10Here we go.
07:11You know?
07:11Yeah.
07:12So it was cool.
07:12And then the bigger shows, honestly, now I just don't even think about it.
07:16So I'm like blessed and lucky and happy and tired and overwhelmed at times.
07:22It's just, it's all the things.
07:24And you know, it feels really great to be back and be exercising and flexing in this way.
07:29Like it's, I'm, it's an honor.
07:32When was the moment that you were like, we're doing this, like, let's go.
07:35I can't recall that moment, um, for tour per se, but it was more like the album making
07:42of the record and starting to get in the studio again.
07:45That moment was very like vivid and clear.
07:47I was in the kitchen with Matt one morning and was like, I want to like exercise this
07:53muscle and I want to make a record and I'm really serious about it.
07:56And he was like, perfect.
07:57Like we started talking about what I wanted to talk about and kind of my, my dreams and
08:01my punch list for how I imagined it to look and feel.
08:04And I started making Pinterest boards and just really grassroots starting to like build
08:09it with him.
08:10And then, you know, a year later we had a record.
08:19Like a script you're almost finishing.
08:21Like you're like, oh, okay.
08:22Like I knew this stuff was in front of me, but I didn't quite have to think about being
08:25on stage or touring yet while I was making the record.
08:28But after I'd finished the record, of course, then you have the desire to like perform.
08:31You see the world start to really.
08:34Yeah.
08:35Yeah.
08:35Take shape.
08:35Right.
08:36I can't remember being like, I'm doing this.
08:37I'm doing, I think like being in London day of show and knowing that like no one can
08:43help me anymore.
08:45Yeah.
08:45I was like, okay, that's the moment where I was just like, get it together.
08:50Yeah.
08:50You mentioned talking about how you came out on that first show and your fans just wrapped
08:55you.
08:56There's something about that.
08:58I love.
08:58They were begging you.
09:00Oh, the math baby.
09:01Come on.
09:02They were begging you.
09:04What made you decide to put that one in the set list and listen to your fans?
09:15What else are you hearing from them?
09:17What else are the fans saying?
09:18Oh my God.
09:19They say all the things.
09:21Right.
09:22Right.
09:22Right.
09:22They want everything.
09:23They want everything.
09:24I have my musical director and dear friend, Jacob has really helped me alongside Matt and
09:31my whole entire team.
09:33Like nothing is just like willy nilly done.
09:36You know, sometimes we're feeling something out and like pulling the trigger at the last
09:41minute.
09:42But a lot of this is, you know, we're like, Hey, by the time you're halfway through eight
09:48weeks of touring.
09:49Yeah.
09:50You might want to trade out a song and surprise them with something.
09:52And I'm like, that song should be this or this.
09:54Let's prepare it.
09:55Let's like sit on it.
09:57And when the moment's right, let's do it.
09:59Some things that I thought were going to feel more silly and impossible are just like
10:04fun and easy.
10:04Yeah.
10:05And I don't know if even five years ago, I would have been able to be at that place to
10:12play with it.
10:13Well, I think you get to play when you're getting affirmed by the energy around.
10:17I think that's 100% as simple as that.
10:18You're just like, Oh, cool.
10:19I got to have this really, this record that is so represent representative of me and my
10:25life and what I've kind of, how I've been living the past 10 or 12 years and say the
10:31things that, you know, might people don't see me in that way or whatever it may be, you
10:37know, to have that loved and affirmed makes the other stuff.
10:42Let's just have fun.
10:43Yeah.
10:43And it makes me get to see that my successes in those things that maybe I didn't feel
10:47before.
10:56So obviously they love the math and they're asking you all the time for songs.
11:00But I want to know, tell us a song that you would never add to the set list.
11:06Did I get her girl?
11:08You thought about it though.
11:09You're about to tell me.
11:10Well, I caught a lot of albums to think through.
11:12Right, right, right.
11:13Okay.
11:13That's fair.
11:14Smell the butter.
11:15Yeah.
11:15I smell, I smell hot butter.
11:17It's melting.
11:19It's melting.
11:20Yes.
11:20Yes.
11:20Yes.
11:21I don't want to answer the question.
11:22Like I get pressured to like sing the girl can rock and I'm not sure I'm ever going to
11:27do that.
11:27We don't, we can never say never.
11:30I know because I did the math.
11:31We have dancing over here.
11:33I know.
11:35Look, look, he wants it.
11:36He wants it.
11:37Like that's insane.
11:38They want it.
11:38Yeah.
11:39And I don't know if I'm willing to give it.
11:40We're not sure.
11:41Okay.
11:41But I never say never.
11:42Right.
11:42Because we never know.
11:43Hey guys.
11:44Wow.
11:45Tuna melts.
11:47Please enjoy.
11:48Thank you so much.
11:49Of course.
11:50Wow.
11:50We have to eat every last bite.
11:52And I will.
11:53It's just going to unhinge my jaw and it's just going to, we're going to go to town.
11:57One thing I love is some tuna.
11:59I'm not going to lie.
11:59Me too.
12:00Okay.
12:00Ready?
12:00Let's go.
12:05That dill.
12:06Who did that?
12:07Mm-hmm.
12:09Mm-hmm.
12:09Mm-hmm.
12:10I'm getting the recipe.
12:11The celery, the dill, the grainy mustard seed.
12:14No, this is dumb.
12:15I know.
12:16I know.
12:17Mm.
12:19Are you an anti-crest girl?
12:21I am.
12:22Sorry.
12:23I know.
12:23This is like so vulnerable.
12:25No.
12:25This is like, I feel like I'm getting undressed.
12:28You watching me eat this sandwich is like really, really intimate.
12:32I feel like the internet is so into watching people eat now.
12:35Obviously it's totally fine.
12:36We're doing a great job.
12:43While we're taking a little break, I want to do discourse.
12:47So when the food comes, we like to do a round of questions, rapid fire.
12:51Okay.
12:52You ready?
12:53Yes.
12:53What is your most crucial pre-show ritual?
12:56It's honestly boring.
12:57I warm up in the bathroom.
12:59Yeah.
12:59What's the warm up?
12:59I just find a bathroom that I like the acoustics in.
13:01Mm-hmm.
13:02It's usually not nice.
13:04It's quite gross.
13:05But the acoustics hit.
13:06But the acoustics hit.
13:07I'm alone.
13:08Warm ups don't sound good.
13:10You sound like a dying cat.
13:11Yeah.
13:12And I do some squats before the show like, and like people can see me back there.
13:17It's impossible to like fully hide.
13:19I don't have like a reveal moment.
13:21Yeah.
13:21I just like walk out on stage.
13:22And I'm back there like doing some deep squats.
13:24I stomp my feet a few times.
13:26Yes.
13:26Get it out.
13:27I like shoulder roll.
13:28And I'm just like, I'm just getting my like, my armor on.
13:32Pink bubble.
13:33Pink bubble.
13:34Do you do pink bubble?
13:35I do pink bubble.
13:36I don't do it all the time before the show.
13:39Like I talk to my angels before the show.
13:41Very important.
13:42But I pink bubble more like in life before like social things.
13:46Right, right, right.
13:46Or like work things that I don't know people at or whatever.
13:50Okay.
13:50Favorite song to perform.
13:51That's too hard.
13:52I don't have one.
13:53You know what?
13:54For me, it's the audience and what they give me.
13:57Mm-hmm.
13:57And it's different every night.
13:58The last show on the tour of like the North American leg of tour.
14:03They went crazy for Come Clean.
14:05And like that's obviously a hit song.
14:07It always goes off.
14:09I could not even hear myself singing.
14:11Yeah.
14:11They were buck wild for it.
14:13So like, of course, that's like, I'm like that one really is so much fun.
14:16I'm waking up to a dream sequence.
14:21Sometimes I can't see me in it.
14:24Adult size medium is like one of the only songs that I'm sitting still and I can like
14:28take in the whole surrounding without being conscious of like my body or making sure I'm
14:32in a place for, you know, pyro to go off or what like, you know, there's so many things
14:36to think about during the show.
14:38Yes, you're flowing.
14:39But yes, you're like, I'm at work and I have this job to do, you know?
14:43Do you want me to take a sip of wine?
14:43Because I didn't really answer the question.
14:45No.
14:45Okay, fine.
14:46Well, this has nothing to do with wine right now.
14:48We're literally just gabbing.
14:50You just wanted to take a sip.
14:52That's all it was.
14:53Okay.
14:53Your most unexpected dream collaboration.
14:56I live for Alanis.
14:58She's my God.
15:00She's my God and my guide.
15:03I went through a huge Morrissey phase in my life.
15:06I feel like that would be a very unexpected but cool collab.
15:10He would never do it.
15:11But I'm obsessed with him.
15:13Never say never.
15:14Never say never.
15:15100%.
15:15Honestly, Matthew, I feel like he's so protective of my thing.
15:20And I'm like, come into this with me.
15:22Yeah.
15:22And he's like, no, this is not, this is yours.
15:26And I'm like, are you too cool for me?
15:27What's happening here?
15:28Tell me the truth.
15:29Be honest.
15:30Yeah.
15:30Tell me the truth and be honest.
15:31Like, once during the pandemic before I was even like thinking about making a record
15:37or whatever, he was covering a Third Eye Blind song.
15:40And he had like started recording and he just like sent me a little thing of it.
15:44And I was like, don't think that you are in the studio right now singing Third Eye Blind
15:49and I'm not going to sing on it.
15:51Right.
15:51But I would love to make more music with him.
15:54Yeah.
15:54He's my person.
15:55He is your person.
15:56And he's so fucking good at what he does.
15:59Yeah.
15:59Last discourse.
16:00Everybody obviously loves Lizzie McGuire.
16:02But what show did you watch as a kid that you would love to reboot?
16:06Are you afraid of the dark?
16:08You're insane.
16:09Wouldn't that be sick?
16:10No.
16:11I couldn't watch that.
16:11I couldn't do it.
16:12What?
16:13I couldn't watch that.
16:14Are you afraid?
16:15Afraidy cat?
16:16Very.
16:16Afraidy cat.
16:17Okay.
16:18First of all, that was childish.
16:19Second of all, don't put my business out here in the street.
16:22But I am.
16:22Can I tell you, we just got, we just did all of our Halloween decorations.
16:25I have got to get a picture to show you.
16:28Please.
16:28You will die.
16:29There are basically zombie babies all around my house.
16:32They're eating brains.
16:34What is wrong with you?
16:35Oh my God, so much.
16:36And my kids.
16:37This morning, Mei Mei was like, can we go see the baby that's eating the brains?
16:40And I was like, let's go.
16:42Okay.
16:43So.
16:43There are like, remlins dangling from like, it's inside too.
16:47We have witches inside.
16:48What's going on with you?
16:49What's inside of you?
16:50Listen, I love spooky season.
16:52We can be spooky, but we can be cute.
16:53Like practical magic.
16:54My birthday this year was a double feature of practical magic.
16:57The first one and the second one.
16:59Best night.
16:59Best night ever.
17:00Not spooky enough.
17:01That is, it's just.
17:01Isn't that like Hocus Pocus?
17:03That's not spooky though.
17:04I love Hocus Pocus.
17:05Zachary?
17:06Coming out of the.
17:07Hocus Pocus.
17:08You know what I mean?
17:09Yes, of course.
17:10My Sanderson girl.
17:12Sanderson sister.
17:13So now we have another line them up.
17:14You have a new holiday EP being released.
17:17Obviously we know this isn't your first.
17:19Could we get a fresh version of Santa Claus Lane right now?
17:23Right here.
17:24Today.
17:26Are we still playing this game?
17:28Yes.
17:28We're still.
17:29Come on.
17:30You're just not ready.
17:31Are you telling me you're not ready for the holiday season yet?
17:34That song is so bad.
17:37I listened to it so many times thinking, how could I?
17:41How could I do this?
17:42I really want to give the people what they want.
17:44Right.
17:45I can't give them that.
17:46What if you did a little remix?
17:48You can try.
17:49You can try.
17:50No, no, no, no.
17:51This is you.
17:52You sound like you're going to do a really good job.
17:54I'm not.
17:54I'm making the beat for you.
17:55It's not going to happen.
17:56It's so.
17:57Honestly, I was like, this could be fun.
17:59This could be cute.
18:00It can't be.
18:01I think people might be waiting for that for a long, long time.
18:04Okay.
18:04Maybe we'll talk about this in a few years.
18:06Maybe you'll come around.
18:07Maybe.
18:07Yeah.
18:08Is there a song that your family really loves?
18:10One of your past songs that you maybe weren't expecting them to love?
18:13No.
18:14My kids love me so much.
18:16I think my teenager is quite embarrassed of me right now, but he still loves me so much.
18:21Right.
18:21But my girls are my number one fan.
18:24Yeah.
18:24If I was like, we can only listen to my music for the rest of your life, they'd be like,
18:27great.
18:28Yay.
18:29That's our choice.
18:30Turn it up.
18:30Yeah.
18:31Yeah.
18:31Stella Lefty has taken over me being their number one spot, which is forgivable.
18:36And I'm very, very grateful to not be listening to my own music right now all the time in
18:40the car on the way to school.
18:41Yeah.
18:41Towns, my two-year-old, will be singing Why Not in the morning in her crib before I come
18:48get her.
18:49Like, if she's not screaming or, you know, asking for someone to come get her, I'll just
18:53let her hang out in her crib while I'm busy doing a million other things.
18:56And she'll be singing Why Not in there.
18:58And I'm like, it does feel like we're a part of some crazy cult where like all I play in
19:02my household is my music and make my kids like, no, no at all.
19:06It's vocal training.
19:07That's what it's called.
19:12One thing I do also love about this album is the way that you've been able to navigate
19:16and express these different relationships.
19:19I mean, we talk about like a partner falling out of love with you and feeling like you want
19:25to connect back with that person.
19:26But we also talk about in growing up, like our friendships and how they evolve.
19:30And what made you interpolate Blink-182's Damn It For That?
19:34Yeah.
19:35And what other artists, songs, genres were you inspired by throughout making this album?
19:41You face it all alone.
19:43And I guess this is growing home.
19:46Link-182 was one of the artists that raised me.
19:52You know, like that was like, for me, that was peak.
19:55I'm getting my driver's license.
19:56I'm starting to get my first like taste of like freedom.
19:59You know, that was like my picking up my girlfriend who owns this place and being like, where are we
20:05going?
20:06Yeah.
20:06Who are we meeting up with?
20:07Like blasting Blink, Dashboard Confessional.
20:10Yes.
20:10Like all the things.
20:12It was actually Matt's idea to sample that song or interpolate it.
20:19And I fell over dead.
20:22I was like, how do we do that even?
20:24How do you, how does it work?
20:26Are they going to say yes?
20:27Can I, like, we'll give them all the money.
20:29I don't know what, like, how do we do it?
20:31Just get them to say yes.
20:32So it was a really cool way to, I think, bring my nostalgia into the mix, you know?
20:41And I think it meant a lot to people that grew up in the same era that I grew up
20:44in.
20:45And then to say it and kind of make it a love song to my ride or die.
20:52Like, I say this during my show, but I'm like, hey, like, I see you.
20:57Yeah.
20:58We're grown now.
20:59Like, life's knocked us around a little bit.
21:01And who are you here with?
21:02Like, who's your bestie?
21:04Who's your ride or die?
21:04Throw your fucking arms around them.
21:06Yeah.
21:06And like, let's be grateful for where we landed.
21:08Like, let's be grateful for all the texture we have now.
21:11You know?
21:12It was...
21:13Texture.
21:13I like that.
21:14I'm taking that.
21:15Yeah.
21:16I don't know what I would love to sample or interpolate next.
21:21But Sheryl Crow is a reference that I come back to all the time for her writing.
21:26I didn't want to listen to too much other stuff.
21:31And truly, my kids dominate the radio.
21:33Yeah.
21:34And I live for silence now at this stage of my life.
21:37Like, live for silence.
21:39I love the chaos and the noise that I have around me.
21:41And then I also, like, I'm totally cool to be quiet.
21:45And I think that was interesting making this record was just to not get a bunch of outside information.
21:51You know?
21:52And try to, like, keep up with the Joneses in a way.
21:54I was like, how do I make a record that really feels like me, but feels current and has the
21:58sounds of, you know, what's kind of being played on the radio.
22:02But also, like, nods to my past.
22:04And I think we achieved that.
22:13I think making the record with, you know, my partner, my husband, the person who knows me the best.
22:18Like, he knows all the stories, sees all the things, sees all the texture.
22:24When sometimes I don't even because I'm so immersed in motherhood.
22:28And I also think that's a huge topic on the record is motherhood without saying it.
22:34Like, symptoms of.
22:36And so it was really interesting to make the record with him and have him kind of point out some
22:41of the things that are, like, huge factors in my everyday.
22:44And then me being like, oh, you notice that?
22:46Oh, you see that?
22:47Oh, you, you know, because we're so busy all the time.
22:49And then I was like, oh, that, yeah, that's there.
22:53But we're on our last line-em-up.
22:55Last one for the day.
22:57Obviously, the tour has seen so many moments of the past.
23:01So much Hilary Duff lore.
23:03Tetris did.
23:04Just doin' love on stage.
23:06Yeah.
23:06Which, I'm so upset that that wasn't me.
23:13There's so many opportunities for you.
23:14Great. Thank you.
23:16And I will be taking myself up on that.
23:18But also, good Charlotte, we got to have that moment on stage.
23:21Yeah.
23:21Tour tease.
23:23I want to know what is a meme or moment from your past that you never want to come back?
23:29Oh, my God.
23:30I'm sure there's so many.
23:31I have a habit of, like, ah, scroll really fast.
23:34I didn't see that.
23:35Right, right, right.
23:36That was with love for me.
23:37Honestly, that was with love.
23:39Yeah.
23:39That moment truly, truly tortured me.
23:41Like, I would just hated it with my every cell in my body.
23:47And honestly, not to, like, make anybody sad for making fun of it, it was a horrible time in my
23:52life.
23:52I was really struggling with, like, a lot of things.
23:54And not wanting to be there.
23:56Yeah.
23:56It's like Disney, um...
23:58Dun, dun, dun, dun.
24:00Uh-huh.
24:00Where I'm like, well, I worked a 16-hour day and I'm 12.
24:03So, I don't want to do this imaginary thing.
24:06Hey, guys, I'm 12.
24:07Dun, dun, dun.
24:07Yeah.
24:08And of course, I'm acting bored.
24:09I want to go talk to my boyfriend.
24:10Right.
24:11I don't really know.
24:12I would have to, like, do a little bit more research.
24:15Maybe some of those moments during Raise Your Voice that are, like, a psychotic edit.
24:20And you're like, who made that choice?
24:21And I was also, like, 15.
24:24Yeah.
24:24And those moments weren't up to me.
24:25And those choices weren't up to me.
24:27And so, it's a little, it's tough.
24:29Like, it's hard out here for a child to start.
24:31Well, yeah.
24:32Yeah.
24:33Reclaiming this love dance, obviously, has been a really fun moment in the tour.
24:37Mm-hmm.
24:38And now, I crash the dance.
24:40And do.
24:41But it took me about 15, no, 20 years to learn it, I guess.
24:44Yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:44Truly learn it.
24:45Well, I think you always knew.
24:48Let's give yourself some credit.
24:49I was just giving very little.
24:51Yes.
24:51She was working on a lot of, like, very low calories.
24:54Well, yes, that was a different time.
24:56But look at you now.
24:57Okay?
24:58Tetris, you like that one?
24:59I hope.
25:01And that's the affirmation.
25:03Okay?
25:04That's beautiful.
25:05That's reclaiming.
25:06That's powerful.
25:07So, I'm glad that we got to this moment.
25:09And I can't wait to come on stage with you.
25:11Because I'm going.
25:12I told you it can happen.
25:14To murder it.
25:14I bet you do.
25:15And I do.
25:16And I do.
25:17And I do.
25:18What she's saying undercover here is that it was meant to be her, not you.
25:21No, that's exactly.
25:21I thought I said that.
25:22Did y'all.
25:23Well, thank you so much for taking us to Loose Cannon.
25:26I am going to demolish the rest of that.
25:28This was so undressing.
25:29When no one's watching.
25:30Yeah.
25:31It's better.
25:32Exactly.
25:32Like, I want it to drip.
25:34Yeah.
25:34A dream talking to you.
25:35It's been a dream talking to you.
25:36I could just, you know, finish the bottle.
25:38Keep going.
25:39But we should.
25:40Turn these cameras off and we will.
