00:02What's up AD? It's Jalen Brown. Welcome to the crib. Come on in. Take them shoes off first though.
00:08You know, take them shoes off.
00:23This is my bedroom. This is where the magic occurs. Magic of prayer,
00:29sleep, and recovery. My bed was reimagined from the Four Seasons. As an athlete you
00:35spend a lot of time in hotels. Four Seasons is somewhere where I love so I had
00:40them recreate a comforter and a bedding of the Four Seasons because that's just one
00:44of my favorites. To move into my recovery I have this mechanic foam roller that I
00:49got from Remedy which is a spot that's not too far from here that I love. Shout out
00:53to Boston. I sit here and it's like gives you a massage. It's a lot of wear and
01:01tear a lot of games. I'm getting old. I'm 10 years in so I'm not young no more. I
01:06can't just get up out of bed. I got to make sure that I have a good routine. This
01:11right here, this is my spaceship. This is how I time travel. You know I go to the
01:16future get information and come back and try to save humanity and people don't
01:20listen to me. Just kidding. This is, this is my hyperbaric chamber. This is
01:25actually a medical grade chamber. I had to give permission from New England
01:28Baptist, the hospital, to be able to put it in my home. It pushes pure oxygen in a
01:32pressurized way into your red blood cells to help you recover like faster. It's
01:37more spacious than it looks. You can do anything. You take your iPad in there and
01:40take your phone in there. Give me on FaceTime. Most times people think that
01:43you're like, you know, on an airplane. Like, how are you on the phone right now?
01:49Welcome to my closet. These closets are from Italy. They took forever to get
01:53here. I love like the tempered glass. It gives it like this sleek James Bond kind
01:58of vibe. You know, I love jewelry, necklaces, championship ring, looking for
02:04another one, grills, all type of stuff. I forget how to even wear this. Let me see.
02:12And I still fit. As I'm getting older, I've simplified my wardrobe a lot. I have like
02:2210 of these and I'll wear them like just on some like Steve Jobs shit. This is just
02:26my everyday. But I still got some cool pieces. This is, was one of my favorite
02:33pieces of Vance and leather joint. Actually, my friend designed this. Sirplata.
02:38Japanese-inspired. The Vance and collab. Let's see how this look. This was a couple
02:46years back. Oh, I think it, I think it still looks good. Still look, still got it.
02:59These are my shoe closets. This is one of them featuring my shoes that I designed.
03:05Here's a cool shoe. These are some Kobe's. Kobe kind of inspired my 741 line. And I was
03:12like taking Nikes. I was covering up the Nike sign and like doing different designs. Here's
03:17one I did of my mom. This kind of protest of Nike kind of led to, you know, my own
03:25brand
03:26with my own shoes. And you know, Kobe was one of the reasons why I picked up a ball. You
03:32know, shout out to Kobe.
03:40My bathroom is one of the things that I'm most proud about in my entire space. I had to demolish
03:47kind of everything. It was a traditional his and hers bathroom. It wasn't giving me the energy I
03:52needed. The floor is Italian marble. The gold finishes are like 24 karat gold. It's like jewelry
03:58for the bathroom. I did a big stand in tub, one of the biggest on the market, just so I
04:04can be able
04:04to fit and be able to do like Epsom salts or other recovery stuff. It looks like I can't fit,
04:11but
04:16I can fit. What else? Oh, so this toilet sometimes pisses me off. Like when you flush it, it makes
04:25nice. Ocean sounds. This toilet was like $20,000. Let me see if it works. Oh, well. I just heard
04:34something. Shhh. This shit doesn't even work, man.
04:47Oh. Welcome. This is my kitchen. There's a lot of limes here. I have no idea why all these limes
04:54are here.
04:55A lot of this was already in unit. In terms of the marble and stuff like that, we just decided
04:59to keep
04:59it. Painted the cabinets because like I just wanted the darker tone just to kind of match some of the
05:04silhouettes a little bit. You know, I love telescopes. I love astronomy. Being able to watch the stars,
05:11stargazing, but you can't really see the stars in the city, so I just use this to people watch. You
05:17can see like people on boats and stuff like that, and I'm making sure that, you know, justice is being
05:21upheld. Can I see Philly from here? I don't know, but I can see my future, and it's looking pretty
05:31good.
05:32So when I first bought this place, this place did not look like this. I had to break down a
05:36lot of
05:36structure and open this space up because I love open space. We put a custom pool table right in the
05:43middle with suede. You know, I'm not really big into dining tables. Instead, I replaced the dining table
05:48with a 18-foot long banquette. I feel like it optimized space a lot better. My grandmother loved
05:56orchids, so I like having those around. This frame right here is a proclamation from the city of Boston,
06:01declaring that October 24th is officially Jalen Brown Day. I feel like it was non-deserving,
06:09but I'm grateful. If you're in Boston on October 24th, you know, make sure you celebrate Jalen Brown
06:18Day. Over here is structure. This actually runs through the whole building. Like this pole goes from
06:27the 62nd floor all the way down to the first, so I couldn't get rid of it. Me and Linda,
06:31the designer,
06:32we were like sitting here thinking like, what the hell can we do with this giant pole that's going
06:36to be in the middle of the unit? Because you just can't like just leave it by itself. So we
06:40came up
06:41with this idea of like a floating table. Championship trophy sits here for now, and it seems to be
06:46holding that. It seems to be able to hold a few more trophies, but right now we got one.
06:54One of my favorite features of my home here is my harp. This is an 18th century harp that was
07:03reimagined. The gilding is 24 karat gold. I think this is probably one of my most expensive pieces
07:10here. A lot of times when I was looking for stuff, I just wasn't looking at the price. I was
07:15just looking
07:15at stuff that kind of fit me, but it's been a pleasure to have Lee Sean here, who's been an
07:22amazing therapist.
07:31Let's see what we got. Remotes. Don't be shy. Now's the time.
07:39The TV is supposed to come on and it's supposed to come out. It looks like a, like a nice
07:45little
07:45ornament. Let's try it again. Let's see. At least it opened up. Okay. This is why I need therapy, you
07:52know?
07:55That brings us to the bar. I'm not a big drinker. I love wine though. Here's a, a really special
08:03gift.
08:03One of my friends gives me a bottle of wine every all-star game and they customize it. You've probably
08:08seen people on my stream. I've had like Burner Boy, Coyle Ray, A$AP Ferg, Lil Baby. I've had a
08:16long list
08:17of like, you know, celebrities that have come and sat at this bar and had a, a glass of wine.
08:24Shout out to
08:25Bree. She gave me this with the Muhammad Ali, one of the shifters. Manny Pacquiao gave me these boxing gloves.
08:31My father was a boxer. My grandfather was a boxer. My uncle was a boxer as well. I got a
08:37John Coltrane
08:38album. I love Supreme, one of my favorite jazz albums of all time. And also got a James Bond.
08:44A lot of like my place was like heavily inspired by like, like where would James Bond live if he
08:51were to live in Boston.
08:59So this is another little hidden gem in my spot. This is like another
09:03low key spot. This is my speakeasy. I stream in here. I watch TV in here. I read. This is
09:08a, a Mexican
09:10artist, Francisco Valverde. Melting Mexican candy is what inspired this. This is my trophy case,
09:17starting with my red RBAC award, my conference finals MVP. And then up top is the Bill Russell
09:23trophy. Bill Russell is one of my biggest sources of inspiration. He was a humanitarian. He was a
09:29giant. So to have a trophy named after him, and then that trophy being able to go to me,
09:34can't tell you what that means to me and my family. It was a great moment. Also my grandfather and
09:40father's championship. Boxing belts is one thing to, you know, to honor the present, but also
09:45to honor the past and the things that you're connected to.
09:52To the foyer, this is an artist by the name of Simon Berger. He made this piece come to life
09:59by
10:00creating life within destruction, like beauty, through the breaking of like glass. I thought it
10:06was dope. And I had to make a special custom piece of my grandmother. My grandmother was very influential
10:13into my life, into my early education. And I talk about her a lot because she kind of inspired me
10:20to use my platform beyond just being an athlete, but just being an educator and a person of your
10:28community. When I first told my mom this piece, she started crying. So it's just a sentimental piece.
10:41Boston Jalen has history. I grew up here from age 19 to 29. A lot of the stuff that has
10:52cultivated me into who I am, I kind of developed here in Boston as a young man. Now it's the
10:57next
10:57chapter. AD, it's been real. I appreciate you guys. I'm going to see you guys next time.
