00:00So, Josh, Bills-Ravens, this was supposed to be a good matchup.
00:04It was supposed to be Lamar Jackson against Josh Allen,
00:07and Lamar Jackson's return lasted one snap.
00:12He played one more snap than all of us here.
00:14So, Josh.
00:16Yeah, I know.
00:16He made more, though.
00:18He made a lot more money than we did.
00:19That is for sure.
00:20So we had this kind of discussion in our group chat with Lamar Jackson.
00:25At this point, we know he's injury-prone.
00:27We know that he probably cannot get through a full season without being banged up.
00:32And you can blame this.
00:33You can blame that.
00:33You can blame the offensive line.
00:34You can blame his play style.
00:35Whatever.
00:36It is what it is.
00:37So, Josh, what are your thoughts on that?
00:39We don't even have to get to the rest of the game
00:41because it was an absolute disaster for the Ravens,
00:44but specifically for Lamar Jackson.
00:46He just came back, and then he gets hurt,
00:48and he's on the injured reserve as we speak right now.
00:51So he's going to be out for at least four games, maybe this season.
00:55What do you make of this?
00:56Well, it's also extra unique because they announced he was going on IR
01:01while the game was still going on.
01:04Normally, it takes a day to get MRI results and things like that.
01:07They're like, no, we know this ain't good.
01:09We know that he's going to be out for a while,
01:11maybe the rest of the season after that one snap with the thumb.
01:15And then Tyler Huntley gets turf toe.
01:18So we have – I'm sorry.
01:21I'm going to mispronounce his name.
01:24Fagnano, or however they pronounce his name.
01:27Fagnano.
01:28Yeah.
01:28And he took a big hit in the game,
01:31and I was really secretly rooting for Justice Hill
01:34to take the quarterback position
01:35because he was the emergency, emergency quarterback.
01:38And I just wanted to see it just for the hell of it.
01:41But this is – everything that could be going wrong for the Ravens
01:46has gone wrong because they centered everything around one guy.
01:51And this one guy has MVP years
01:56and then gets hurt time and time and time again.
01:59And now, all of a sudden, they're 4-4.
02:02Their season is not over yet, obviously.
02:06Yes, it is.
02:06But, I mean, realistically, on paper, it's not.
02:08But I agree with you, John.
02:10It is because they are last in the AFC North.
02:13And if I was in charge of the Ravens,
02:18because I'm looking at – they've been building this team around,
02:20hey, we want Super Bowl or bust with Lamar Jackson,
02:23but you need more players around Lamar Jackson
02:25in order for him, A, to try to maybe stay healthy.
02:28But, B, so even if he does go down, you could still try to compete.
02:33So, at this point, it's kind of retool mode.
02:38So, why don't the Ravens take calls for Derrick Henry?
02:44Oh.
02:45Why, with all the talk of Jonathan Taylor's,
02:48this was probably his last game as a Colt.
02:50You know, Seattle's going after him.
02:51You know, Minnesota's going after him.
02:53You know, New England's going after him.
02:54Someone's going to get him, and then some other teams are not.
02:58But with the Ravens, Derrick Henry has one year left on his contract,
03:01and it's going to be roughly $16 million.
03:03And depending on how he's continuing to age,
03:06do the Ravens want that cap hit while he could go somewhere to try to win now
03:12with this first ballot Hall of Fame type career has wasted away in Tennessee,
03:17and then he came to Baltimore hoping to win something,
03:20and that's obviously not happening.
03:22So, whoever does not win in the Jonathan Taylor sweepstakes,
03:27why not give Baltimore a call and try to see if something is worth Derrick Henry?
03:35Like, hey, if Seattle, for example, does not get Jonathan Taylor,
03:39if they called Baltimore and they said,
03:41hey, would a second-round pick bring Derrick Henry to us,
03:47Baltimore might want to consider listening
03:49because they need to continue to build more pieces.
03:53Mark Anders ain't getting any younger.
03:55Lamar Jackson continuing to be hurt.
03:57Derrick Henry, as good as he is, we know he's towards the end.
04:03Royquan Smith, he ain't young.
04:05So, all these guys are reaching the end.
04:09So, you have to retool.
04:11And I think, at this point, when you know the injuries are there,
04:16and Pittsburgh is rolling, which is kind of crazy to think about,
04:21it's worth looking into taking calls for Derrick Henry.
