00:00CBS Sports welcomes you to the following presentation of the National Football League.
00:12Absolutely amazing weather.
00:14This is the warmest Buffalo home game in November or later since 2020.
00:20Temperature's supposed to hit right around 69 degrees.
00:24The Bills have won the toss.
00:25They've elected to receive Buffalo enters action at 5-1.
00:30They're tied with Kansas City for the best record in the AFC.
00:33Baltimore has lost back-to-back games.
00:36They're 4-3 last week.
00:38They were up 13-0 at halftime, then gave up 35 unanswered points to the Cincinnati Bengals.
00:44But they have Lamar Jackson back in the fold.
00:47It'll be Tyler Loop getting it started.
00:50Ray Davis and Greg Dorch, the deep men.
00:57It's the 15th all-time meeting.
01:00Series tied at 7-7.
01:02We're underway.
01:03The ball bounces at the three and angles with a flag down.
01:07Not exactly the way Baltimore wanted to open up.
01:11Kickoff out of bounds.
01:13Baltimore number 33.
01:14Ball be placed at the 40-yard line.
01:16First down.
01:17Our referee, Clay Martin.
01:20And the Buffalo quarterback is Josh Allen putting up MVP numbers once again.
01:27Somehow he just keeps getting better.
01:29I mean, right now, so far this year, he's got a career high in yards per attempt.
01:34It feels like Joe Brady being the head coach and the play caller has unlocked Josh's ability
01:40to get to a whole other level.
01:41And he's tied with Jim Kelly for the most regular season touchdown passes in Bill's history.
01:45The next one gives him the record.
01:47Play action.
01:48Allen slings it underneath.
01:50Drop by Cook.
01:53James Cook handled the fumbling issues in Buffalo's last game, but that was a case of the drops.
02:01Here's what to keep an eye on, presented by Google Search.
02:05Penalties have been a major issue for both of these teams, really on both sides of the ball.
02:10The good news is that Clay Martin's crew, they've called the fewest penalty yards of any of the 17 NFL
02:18crews.
02:18Yep, you're scouting the officials.
02:212nd and 10.
02:22It's a pitch for Cook.
02:25Wiggles out of the initial contact and then falls forward for four.
02:29It's going to be third down here for Buffalo.
02:35Baltimore was embarrassed defensively in the second half against Cincinnati.
02:39Really all three phases is what Jesse Minter shared with us.
02:43It just, it can't happen.
02:45No, and they've got too many good players on that side of the ball.
02:50For it to happen.
02:51They're starting this first third down with Roquan Smith up over the right guard and overload to the left.
02:57No Spencer Brown for Buffalo.
02:59Tylan Grable steps in for Brown.
03:02Dealing with a back injury.
03:04Allen to throw.
03:05It's on time.
03:08First down.
03:09Connection made with Dalton Kincaid for seven.
03:13What a matchup.
03:14Right side of your screen, Kincaid against Kyle Hamilton.
03:18I hope we get those guys going against each other a lot today.
03:22Kincaid got off to a really fast start.
03:24You see the quick outside stab.
03:26Then he comes back in.
03:27That is a tough task for Hamilton.
03:29But he wanted it.
03:30He wanted that matchup.
03:32Buffalo in Baltimore territory.
03:34Fake it.
03:35Open space.
03:37Shakir.
03:38Zigzag move.
03:39As he splits defenders for extra yards inside the 25.
03:44Eventually brought down by Marlon Humphrey.
03:4725 yards on the catch and run.
03:49Love this design.
03:51Watch Shakir.
03:51He'll come in a little bit and then go back out.
03:54So all of the flow is left.
03:56A lot of times the Bills run it that way.
03:58Shakir pops right back.
04:00And that's a dropped coverage by the Baltimore Ravens.
04:03Something that shows up too much is missed assignments, mental errors, and guys running free.
04:08Buffalo number four in total offense.
04:11387 yards per game.
04:13Nothing there for Ty Johnson.
04:15He gets stamped by Mike Green for no gain.
04:21Lamar Jackson waiting for his chance to return to the lineup.
04:26Buffalo has scored on three of six opening drives this season.
04:30But just one touchdown.
04:32Which is interesting because the last couple years since Brady's been the offensive coordinator,
04:38they've been among the best on first drives.
04:42Cook is back in there.
04:44He lines up just to the side of Allen.
04:48Second and 10.
04:50Round 14.
04:50Round 14.
04:51Round 14.
04:52Round 14.
04:53I'm a hot set.
04:55Allen.
04:57On the move.
04:58Guns it underneath.
04:59Another catch by Shakir.
05:01He hits him in stride and he's inside the five.
05:0718 yards on the hookup.
05:09I love the chess match.
05:11Josh Allen changed the protection.
05:14They were supposed to go to the left to Roquan Smith.
05:16He figured out because of the safeties that Hamilton was coming and changed it.
05:21Bills get to the line quickly.
05:24Cook by himself in the backfield and flags fly.
05:27False start.
05:28Offense number 73.
05:30Five-yard penalty.
05:31First down.
05:32It is the perennial pro bowler, Deion Dawkins.
05:36Does that count as an announcer, Jinx?
05:38It does.
05:40It does.
05:40We just heard from the home office it's official.
05:44Well, this has been part of the problem.
05:46Look at the bottom of the screen.
05:48Seven offensive penalties when they've gotten in the red zone.
05:52That's a big reason why they've had to settle for more field goals than they'd like.
05:54So back it up to the 10-yard line here for Buffalo.
06:00Allen, the quick toss.
06:01What a cut by Moore.
06:04But Baltimore got over there quickly, limiting him to a four-yard pickup.
06:11Excellent stick tackle there by Malachi Starks.
06:15He's been kind of up and down.
06:17The young safety out of Georgia, but that time, he just squared up D.J. Moore exactly what the Ravens
06:24needed.
06:24Any time down here, you have to be alert.
06:28For Kincaid, as well as Josh Allen's legs.
06:32Second and goal here for Buffalo.
06:34Bills looking to strike first.
06:39Allen is going to toss it.
06:41Caught on the perimeter.
06:43Spung down Shakir into the end zone.
06:47Touchdown, Buffalo.
06:53Keon Martin ranged over.
06:56But the contact actually propelled him for the score.
07:01And that's the record for Josh Allen.
07:04The most in Buffalo Bills history.
07:09Shakir, again, was on the backside of that formation.
07:14They faked the action one way.
07:16He came and bounced back out to the right.
07:18What an effort to get in.
07:20That left foot is interesting, though, before the ball crossed the plane.
07:23And they have not confirmed this yet.
07:30Ruling on the field is now that the runners stepped out of bounds with the ball at the one-yard
07:35line.
07:36It'll be third down and goal from the one-yard line on the right half.
07:40So, from jubilation to reality.
07:44Watch left foot right there.
07:47Yep.
07:47It was out before the ball crossed the plane.
07:51So, Josh Allen will have to break Jim Kelly's record a little bit later in the game.
07:56I think most people know what's probably coming right here, which is the quarterback sneak to the left.
08:01Just interestingly, on that last play, Alec Anderson, the left guard, he limped off the field.
08:08He is now in the blue tent.
08:10So, Austin Corbett is out there at left guard.
08:13You wonder if that has any impact on whether or not Joe Brady still calls that quarterback sneak to the
08:17left.
08:18And that is what replay is in effect for.
08:21To make sure you safeguard those kinds of plays.
08:25Everybody in the stadium believed touchdown.
08:28His foot was out.
08:34So, third and goal.
08:35And it's a full yard.
08:37I thought it'd be a little bit closer, but it is a full yard.
08:42Cook in the backfield.
08:45Here it comes.
08:46Tight formation.
08:48Alec.
08:49They push him left.
08:51He didn't get there.
08:54Ravens get it done at the goal line.
08:58It's fourth down.
08:59Watch how wide he goes.
09:02He went all the way outside the tight end.
09:05Hawes got very, very close.
09:08He got at least half a yard there.
09:10If I'm Joe Brady, I am calling it again.
09:12I believe in my guys, and I believe in this play.
09:17Fourth and goal for Buffalo.
09:19Going up high.
09:20Allen's got it.
09:22Touchdown, Bills.
09:24Touchdown, Bills.
09:32Through the air.
09:33On the ground.
09:35Or a little bit of both.
09:37We'll carry a extended for the score.
09:41He went right.
09:43He never goes right.
09:45Credit to Ravens.
09:46They were actually ready for it.
09:48It was just that surge and push from Knox behind that pushed Allen and Matabike into the end zone.
09:56So Buffalo eventually gets the opening drive touchdown.
10:00They thought they had it earlier with Shakir.
10:04They get it two plays later, and now Tyler Bass on to tack on the extra point.
10:11Impressive start.
10:14The number one scoring team in the NFL living up to the billing.
10:19Josh Allen is holding it out like a loaf of bread.
10:24For the Buffalo Bills.
10:26You have two first-year head coaches.
10:28Jesse Minter, Joe Brady.
10:30Right now Baltimore's 4-3.
10:31They're in last place in the AFC North.
10:34They're 0-2 in division play.
10:35Meanwhile, the Bills 5-1.
10:37They lost their one divisional matchup.
10:39It was here at home against New England.
10:44Tyler Bass will kick it off for Buffalo.
10:49It is La Jante Wester deep.
10:53For the Baltimore Ravens.
10:57Fielded at the 8.
10:59The hole closed up quickly.
11:02And he's lassoed inside the 30 by the Bills special teams.
11:07Pushing and shoving at the end of the play.
11:11Lamar Jackson told us just feeling a lot better.
11:15Last week he couldn't push off that left ankle.
11:17This week, little to no issue.
11:20Well, and he was fantastic to start this season.
11:23Leads the NFL in yards per attempt as well as passer rating.
11:27I think Tyler Huntley played okay for the Ravens.
11:30But Lamar is a totally different thing.
11:33Ravens have gone 7-14 without Lamar since he became the starter in 2018.
11:41On first down.
11:43Jackson to throw it.
11:44It is short.
11:45On a bounce to Zay Flowers.
11:47Some pressure there for Jackson to deal with on his first throw.
11:51And Jackson is heading right to the Baltimore sideline.
11:57Oh boy.
11:58Issue with his hand.
12:00His hand got hit by Rousseau.
12:02Oh, that can be very painful for a quarterback.
12:10On the first play from scrimmage for the Baltimore Ravens, Lamar Jackson injured.
12:18Oh my goodness.
12:20So Tyler Huntley, who has been the starter the last three games, steps in to replace Jackson.
12:30Don't love the way they're holding that and taking him right in the locker room at all.
12:41It was on the follow through as he hit Rousseau.
12:48And that has just brought the crowd to a fevered pitch.
12:52With Huntley now in there.
12:54Huntley will dump it off on a swing pass for Henry.
12:58And he's tackled after a gain of one.
13:03And Bernard and to Corey Couch make the stop.
13:08Well, Huntley's got experience.
13:10There's certainly a belief in him from these Ravens players.
13:14But this is a complete turn from what was expected.
13:17The lift that Lamar Jackson was going to bring to the team.
13:23He's not the athlete that Lamar is.
13:26Doesn't drive the ball down the field like Lamar.
13:28But was doing a nice job of taking the underneath stuff and taking care of the football.
13:33And now a third and nine for Huntley and the Ravens.
13:36Huntley in the pocket.
13:37Throws it underneath.
13:39Grashed it.
13:39Justice Hill.
13:41Nowhere to go.
13:42He tried to turn up field.
13:44And Geno Stone.
13:46Elevated from the practice squad there to greet him for a loss of one.
13:52You'll see Huntley.
13:55He felt the pressure.
13:57You could tell.
13:57Did not look very comfortable.
13:59Wanted to just get the ball out of his hands.
14:00And Geno Stone, the former Baltimore Raven, with the big hit and letting the Raven sideline know about it.
14:09Ryan Hickley on the kick it away for Baltimore.
14:12Greg Dortch waiting for it.
14:14He's got some room.
14:16Dortch angles across the 40, out near the 45.
14:20And that's where the Bills are going to open up with Ali making the tackle.
14:27Lamar Jackson, that was the right hand, colliding with Rousseau, who was in for the rush.
14:34Serious concern.
14:36Buffalo's got a 7-0 lead over Baltimore.
14:39They have excellent field position on the second possession of the day.
14:43And for the Ravens, just a feeling of deflation.
14:48The wind coming out of the sails with all the excitement surrounding the return of Lamar Jackson.
14:55Ball fake.
14:56Oh, that's a biggie from Josh Allen.
15:00Completes it to Kincaid.
15:04Fastball for 14 yards.
15:06Check in with Evan Washburn.
15:07Ryan, it's a right thumb injury for Lamar Jackson.
15:10He remains in the locker room, in the tunnel.
15:13First throw of the game, hits Greg Rousseau's arm.
15:17And a concerning image here of that right thumb.
15:20As you can see, a tight shot went to the sideline with the athletic training staff.
15:24They first went towards the blue tent, and then it was immediately into the tunnel.
15:29All right, Evan, we'll, of course, keep you posted.
15:32Any information we get.
15:33Up the middle, Cook.
15:37James Cook comes in third in the NFL in rushing.
15:40Tack on seven yards as Kyle Hamilton went over to make the stop.
15:46And I'm with you, Ian.
15:47And right now, I'm wondering about the psyche of these Baltimore Ravens.
15:52It's been talked about a lot during the week.
15:55The collapse in the second half, all the excitement and energy of getting Lamar back.
16:03Fake it on the boot, and Allen just flings it with a left hand.
16:08Trey Hendrickson had a beat on the quarterback.
16:11Allen shifting over to his left hand to get rid of it.
16:16They tried to run the boot again.
16:20And Trey Hendrickson wasn't having any of it.
16:23And Josh Allen tossing it out there with his left hand.
16:31So, Keon Coleman was in the general area.
16:34That's correct, because he didn't get it back to the line of scrimmage.
16:36He was obviously outside of the pocket, but it was close enough to Keon Coleman.
16:40They give the quarterbacks the benefit of the doubt on those.
16:42And Hendrickson did not bite on the head-and-shoulder thing.
16:46It's a running play.
16:47They need four yards.
16:48They don't get it with Ty Johnson.
16:52Roquan Smith with the tackle.
16:54What do you do here, Ross?
16:55It's a yard and a half, so this is now too far for the quarterback sneak.
17:03It would be a 51-yard field goal attempt.
17:06It depends a lot on Joe Brady and just how confident he is with this play call.
17:10Empty set.
17:12Is ball out of Allen's hands quickly or he runs?
17:19Allen on fourth and two.
17:20Let's it fly.
17:21It's complete.
17:23DJ Moore with the grab.
17:28Keon Martin there defensively.
17:30There is a flag down on the play.
17:36Eight-yard pickup and Joe Brady not happy.
17:44Illegal shift on the offense.
17:46Number two and 26 were both in motion and did not reset prior to the snap.
17:51It's a five-yard penalty.
17:53Fourth down.
17:53So it's Moore and Ty Johnson, and that's going to change the entire complexion.
18:01They are going to send Tyler Bass out to try a long one.
18:05If two guys are in motion at the same time, they both have to be set for a second because
18:10then it counts as a shift.
18:12The Bills actually do a lot of double motions, but that time they were not on the same page.
18:27He is looking at a 56-yard attempt trying to keep his streak alive.
18:37Ferguson to snap it.
18:39Doman will hold it.
18:4156-yarder for Tyler Bass.
18:49Bass's kick.
18:51Corkscrews.
18:53Through!
18:54A doink!
18:57But a good doink.
18:5910-0 lead Buffalo.
19:07Tyler Bass.
19:10Walking a fine line.
19:13That's 19 straight field goals.
19:16A new Bills record.
19:21DU Sunday with the NFL on CBS and Paramount+.
19:275-1 Buffalo's got the 10-0 lead over 4-3 Baltimore.
19:31The long field goal by Bass.
19:35He was tied with Ryan Lindell for the franchise record.
19:39And now owns it by himself.
19:45Rasheen Ali, deep man, will take it from the 5 for the Ravens.
19:51And hit hard.
19:54Brought down just short of the 30-yard line.
19:57Well, Halloween weekend, we had to give you some kind of treat.
20:01The Buffalo Bills, 11 straight post-buy wins.
20:05Second longest streak all-time.
20:07Philadelphia, the all-time record, 13.
20:08The rushing yards, that's a staple.
20:12And then Joe Brady cooking up something fun.
20:15That is Joe, right?
20:17Yeah, it looks like it.
20:19Just under 33 points per game.
20:24Ravens now with Huntley at quarterback, replacing Lamar Jackson.
20:31Running play for Derrick Henry.
20:34And Henry gets to the second level for a gain of 8.
20:38Terrell Bernard with the stop.
20:41Well, that would be the right guy to lean on if you're the Baltimore Ravens now.
20:46And the whole battle in this game when it comes to Henry running
20:49is whether or not he can get to the line of scrimmage clean.
20:53If you get penetration, if you make him stop his feet, he really struggles.
20:58If this offensive line and tight ends can get him to the line of scrimmage clean,
21:02he's going to get big yardage.
21:05Second down and two.
21:07It's more of Henry.
21:12They're going to mark him just shy.
21:15Dorian Williams helped make sure of it, along with Dwayne Carter.
21:19Third down and one.
21:22Interestingly, the Ravens have struggled in these situations.
21:25You would think with Derrick Henry at 250 pounds that they would be great.
21:30But he's only 11 of 27, converting plays like this that are a yard or two.
21:37Don't love that they're in the gun here either.
21:40They need a yard.
21:42Mark Andrews, motion.
21:44And they've got it with a flag down.
21:49It's going to work against Baltimore,
21:50so that nullifies the first down for the Ravens.
21:56I like the decision to bring Andrews in in motion and run the sneak,
21:59but it's a different cadence.
22:01False start.
22:02Offense number 79.
22:04Five-yard penalty.
22:05Third down.
22:06And that's the two-time Pro Bowler, Ronnie Stanley.
22:09And this is part of the problem.
22:12Four false starts and a delay game in the first half last week.
22:17Somehow they still had the lead, 13-0 against the Bengals,
22:20but Jesse Minter knows you cannot do these things.
22:23They had the first down.
22:24Now it's third and medium,
22:26and the Bills look like they're cooking up some pressure.
22:29So they crowd the line on a third and five.
22:34Shotgun.
22:35Huntley.
22:35Little bobble.
22:36He's going to step up.
22:37Trying to run.
22:38Throws at the last moment.
22:40Incomplete.
22:41Justice Hill was the target,
22:44and it's fourth down for Baltimore.
22:47Ed Oliver getting to the quarterback.
22:52I thought Huntley did a good job stepping up,
22:54but that's the example right there.
22:56I feel like if that's Lamar,
22:58he gets the first down.
23:00And obviously it's not Huntley's fault that he's not Lamar,
23:03but that's the difference right there.
23:05Small difference in the NFL.
23:06Lamar just has that extra explosiveness and burst
23:09to get through that hole.
23:10The rookie out of Michigan State,
23:12Ryan Eckley,
23:13to kick it away.
23:15He was the Big Ten punter of the year.
23:16No pressure.
23:18Dorch is deep.
23:20Sun on that side of the field,
23:22but he makes it cleanly with a fair catch,
23:25and Buffalo's going to get the ball back
23:27after a 49-yard punt.
23:32Looking for the penalty marker.
23:36Nope.
23:37No flag.
23:4010-0.
23:41Buffalo leads it.
23:43An out for the remainder of this game
23:44with a right thumb injury.
23:46Suffered it on the first play of the game
23:48when his hand collided with Greg Russo, guys.
23:51Yeah, a complete crusher
23:52for the Baltimore Ravens.
23:54They were without Jackson the last three games
23:57because of a high ankle sprain.
23:59There was so much energy and excitement
24:01around this team
24:02with Jackson returning.
24:03First play from scrimmage
24:05for Baltimore.
24:07It happened.
24:07Allen throws.
24:08That's pumped up in the air!
24:10Intercepted!
24:11Washington in the right spot.
24:19Josh Allen tried to hum one in there.
24:23And it ended up being a gift
24:25for the Ravens.
24:27And maybe this is exactly
24:29what the Ravens needed.
24:31It's thrown a little bit behind Hawes,
24:33the blocking tight end.
24:35He tips it up into the air,
24:36and then Washington.
24:38The nose tackle.
24:40Not often nose tackles get interceptions,
24:42but you see the athlete he is
24:44and the hands.
24:45And this gives the Ravens a real chance.
24:48Sometimes in these sudden change situations,
24:51that's when offensive coordinators
24:52like to go right for the dagger right now.
24:54Wouldn't be surprised
24:55if Huntley tries to go to the end zone.
24:58Buffalo's last game
24:59was their first of the season
25:01without a turnover.
25:02They had nine in the previous three games.
25:04They turned over here
25:06in the first quarter.
25:08First career interception for Washington.
25:12Henry turns the corner.
25:13And a stiff arm at the end
25:15as he's angled out of bounds.
25:17First down, Ravens.
25:22Watch Rosengarten here.
25:23He'll get the key block
25:24to be able to get the edge.
25:27Rosengarten, they pinch inside,
25:29and he gets up on Dorian Williams,
25:31the linebacker.
25:32Pinch is when you slant inside.
25:34Williams was then responsible for contain.
25:37He's got to get out there faster.
25:41The Ravens are operating
25:43at the Buffalo six.
25:49A jump.
25:51Flags.
25:52Deion Walker was trying to get the edge
25:55for Buffalo.
25:58Encroachment.
25:59Defense number 96.
26:01Half the distance to the goal.
26:03It's first down.
26:04He's been an absolute revelation
26:07for this Bills team
26:08now in his second year.
26:10Well, it's funny
26:11because that's when
26:12your high school coach
26:12always says,
26:13you're right there.
26:14Just watch the ball.
26:15But you're also right there
26:17where the quarterback's mouth is
26:19when they're under center.
26:20So when it's a hard count
26:21and he says,
26:22hut, hut,
26:23it is really hard
26:24to not move.
26:27So, inch it a little closer.
26:30First and goal.
26:34Huntley on a give.
26:36Henry
26:37slices through
26:38for the touchdown.
26:44Desperately what the Ravens needed.
26:45A defensive play.
26:46It turns into points
26:49as the offense does its job.
26:50And he cut it all the way back
26:52behind the new right guard, Voorhees.
26:55Rosengarten got another good block.
26:58Voorhees was able to push Walker inside.
27:02And man, oh man,
27:03did the Baltimore Ravens need that.
27:11Third in NFL history.
27:14Derrick Henry,
27:14career rushing touchdowns.
27:17Tyler Lupin for the extra point.
27:20Now the Ravens right back in it.
27:26Josh Allen with the throw
27:28that bounced off his tight end.
27:30Jackson Hawes,
27:31Washington the pick,
27:32and then Henry turns it
27:34into six,
27:35plus the point after.
27:37Comes an epic night of justice.
27:39One team on the home front,
27:41the other in the shadows.
27:43FBI and CIA are all new.
27:45CBS Monday.
27:49They are working on
27:51Tyler Humpley
27:54on that Baltimore sideline.
27:56Lamar Jackson is done for the day
27:58with the right thumb injury.
28:03Ravens just got the touchdown.
28:06Joe Finiano is
28:08the number three QBs,
28:11the rookie out of UConn.
28:14It'll be a touchback.
28:16And the Bills offense
28:18back on the field.
28:19The lead is now
28:21only three.
28:25Well, Derrick Henry
28:27had that touchdown,
28:27and Henry continues
28:29to move into
28:30elite company.
28:3240-plus rushing touchdowns
28:34for multiple teams.
28:35Marcus Allen,
28:36Marshall Falk,
28:38and now Derrick Henry.
28:39Well, he's top ten all time
28:41in rushing touchdowns,
28:42rushing yards.
28:43Every week,
28:44he's really got a chance
28:45to pass guys
28:46on those lists.
28:49See how the Bills offense
28:50responds after the turnover.
28:53Hand-off James Cook.
28:55They get to him quickly
28:57and limit him
28:57to a two-yard pickup
28:58going up the middle.
29:00We check in with Evan.
29:01Well, you touched on it,
29:02I, and Tyler Huntley.
29:03They're working on his right foot,
29:04so they're getting a fresh
29:05tape job on that foot
29:07right now.
29:08Joe Finiano
29:09has not played in a game
29:10this season.
29:12Undrafted rookie
29:12out of UConn.
29:14We'll see how he is
29:15when he comes back up.
29:16No injury designation
29:17as of now.
29:20And also part of the equation
29:21Huntley did not get the reps
29:24this week in practice.
29:25Lamar Jackson was back
29:26in there.
29:27They wanted to ramp him up,
29:29get him ready.
29:30And Huntley looks up
29:32and after one play,
29:33he's right back under center.
29:35That one was a 50-50 ball.
29:38It looked like Awuzie
29:40nearly took it away
29:41from Dalton Kincaid.
29:43Incomplete.
29:45Awesome coverage
29:46by Awuzie.
29:47Top of your screen,
29:49it's another in-breaking
29:50route for Kincaid.
29:52The Bills
29:53and their opponents
29:53really treat Kincaid
29:55like a receiver.
29:57Josh Allen said
29:58he trusts him
29:59man-to-man
30:00against anyone,
30:00but that's tough
30:01going against
30:02a physical corner
30:03like Awuzie.
30:04And now a third
30:05and eight for the Bills.
30:06233 remaining in the first.
30:09Allen,
30:10the head of the rush.
30:11Flag is down.
30:12He put that one low
30:14at the feet of
30:16Dawson Knox.
30:18Coverage from Hamilton.
30:20The initial reaction is
30:21it will work against
30:22Baltimore.
30:27before the pass was thrown.
30:29Holding.
30:30Defense number 44.
30:33Five-yard penalty.
30:34Automatic first down.
30:35Yeah, that's Marlon Humphrey.
30:38This has been one of the issues
30:39for the Ravens.
30:41He pulled him down.
30:43I mean,
30:44you're allowed to have
30:45contact within the first
30:46five yards,
30:47but you can't grab the jersey
30:48and pull him down.
30:49The Ravens need some of their
30:51highest-paid players
30:52to perform better,
30:53especially in situations
30:55like that.
30:55That can't happen.
30:56Ravens' third most
30:57penalties in the NFL
30:59this season.
30:59Allen,
31:00a deep drop.
31:01He's looking for a
31:01home-run ball,
31:02and it's incomplete.
31:04Josh Palmer pulled up.
31:07And he crumbles
31:08down to the turf.
31:12Palmer has had a big play
31:14in him
31:15periodically
31:17for the Bills
31:18in his first year
31:18with the team.
31:20Feels like almost
31:21once a game
31:23Palmer makes a big play.
31:25They wanted that
31:25to be the one.
31:26He's going to run
31:27a deep post,
31:27bottom of your screen,
31:28and right when he goes
31:30to go to the post,
31:31pushes off the right foot,
31:32it just grabbed on him.
31:35Bills are actually
31:36fortunate that Humphrey
31:38was looking at Palmer
31:40and not the ball.
31:40He might have been able
31:41to pick it off.
31:43And Palmer,
31:46noticeably frustrated.
31:49He's going to make his way
31:52directly to the locker room.
31:58Second and ten
31:59for Buffalo.
32:01so they get
32:02D.J. Moore back
32:04today
32:04and seemingly
32:07the possibility
32:08of losing
32:09Josh Palmer.
32:14Cook in the backfield.
32:16He'll get the carry.
32:19And they hem him in
32:21working on that
32:23inside run
32:24for just two yards
32:25as Trenton Simpson
32:26makes the play
32:27for Baltimore.
32:28Simpson's had a good season
32:29so far.
32:30And he's a guy
32:31that's been in and out
32:32of the lineup
32:32the last couple years.
32:34Got benched for Buchanan
32:35at one point.
32:36He's been playing
32:37with some physicality.
32:38I like what I've seen
32:38from him.
32:39These are the downs
32:40if you're the Ravens
32:42where you have to get
32:43off the field.
32:44This is Trey Hendricks
32:46in time
32:46or Mike Green.
32:47Got to get pressure
32:48on Josh Allen.
32:50They are operating
32:51from the 45.
32:54Allen steps up.
32:56The fake.
32:57Oh!
32:57Josh Allen
32:58first down!
33:00Little juke move
33:02at the end
33:02was enough.
33:07Faked out Buchanan
33:10and got enough
33:12to move the chains.
33:13You know,
33:14the Ravens
33:15are even stunting
33:16up front
33:16so that there
33:18wasn't as much
33:19of a scene
33:20for Josh Allen.
33:22Watch this second
33:23pump fake right here.
33:24I mean,
33:24you're like 10 yards
33:25out for you.
33:26He cracks me up
33:28with some of his
33:29pump fakes
33:30down the field.
33:31Just so hard
33:32to defend
33:32in those situations.
33:35Drive remains alive.
33:37Allen,
33:38soft toss.
33:40Wasn't handled
33:41by Knox.
33:44So,
33:44coming off the bye,
33:45you're hoping
33:46to be crisp,
33:47well practiced,
33:48well rested.
33:49That has not been
33:51the case so far
33:51for Buffalo.
34:00Under a minute
34:01to play now
34:01here in the first.
34:04Allen is 5 of 11,
34:0672 yards,
34:07the interception.
34:10And the rushing
34:11touchdown.
34:16working from the gun.
34:19Inside handoff
34:20for Cook.
34:21He's stacked up
34:21just short of the 40
34:23by Hendrickson
34:24and company.
34:26Two-yard gain.
34:29These amazing shots
34:31of today's game
34:31are provided
34:32by Nationwide.
34:35Just incredible
34:36conditions
34:37here in Western New York.
34:41Another golden
34:42opportunity here
34:43for the Ravens.
34:45Third and long.
34:48Especially with the
34:49Bills having
34:50a backup right tackle.
34:52Mike Green,
34:53if he doesn't get
34:54chipped at the bottom
34:55there against
34:55Tylan Grable,
34:56they need him
34:57to come through
34:57on some of these
34:58obvious passing downs.
35:00Motion man,
35:01Kincaid,
35:01Allen.
35:02Tight coverage there.
35:04Keyon Coleman
35:04with the catch,
35:05but two defenders
35:06were all over him,
35:08including Marlon Humphrey.
35:10So it's a four-yard
35:11pickup.
35:12Brings up
35:13fourth down.
35:14That's going to be
35:15the end
35:15of the first.
35:17Second quarter action
35:19coming up.
35:20This is the end.
35:21The Ravens
35:21and the Bills.
35:22The script has changed
35:24with no Lamar Jackson.
35:26It's a very similar
35:26situation
35:27to when they kicked
35:28the field goal
35:29with Bass,
35:31the 56-yarder.
35:32Almost identical.
35:34At a minimum,
35:35you're thinking
35:35hard count here.
35:36I don't like the idea
35:37of giving the Ravens
35:38some momentum,
35:38though,
35:38if you don't get it.
35:49Fourth down
35:49to open up
35:50the second quarter.
35:52Allen
35:53in the pocket.
35:55Floats it off
35:55his back foot.
35:56It is incomplete.
35:58And the Ravens
35:59will take over.
36:00Keyon Coleman
36:00matched up
36:01with Malakai Starks.
36:03Bills come up
36:04empty.
36:07Allen had time
36:09initially.
36:10They really only
36:11rushed three
36:13with a spy
36:14in Simpson.
36:15So Allen knew
36:16he had nowhere
36:17to run.
36:18But then they dropped
36:19seven in coverage.
36:21Nobody was open.
36:22That's an excellent job
36:23by the Ravens defense.
36:25And I'd be curious
36:26to hear from Joe Brady
36:28exactly what the logic
36:29is to go for it there
36:31when you didn't
36:31from a similar situation
36:32in the first quarter.
36:36Baltimore takes over
36:37at its own
36:3837-yard line.
36:42Derrick Henry
36:45will pick up three.
36:47Met at the 40.
36:49NFL Today update.
36:50Let's send it to New York
36:51and Adam Schein.
36:53Iron.
36:53Ross.
36:54Finally.
36:55The Bengals
36:55are on the board.
36:56Third and 18.
36:58Look at Joe Burrow
36:59escape.
37:00Look at his rifle
37:00to his guy.
37:02Jamar Chase
37:02back in the end zone.
37:0413-7.
37:05Titans back to you.
37:08Now Cincinnati
37:10showing some signs
37:11of life
37:12in that one
37:12against Tennessee.
37:15AFC South team
37:16here.
37:19Making AFC North.
37:21Baltimore trying
37:22to do the same
37:22against Buffalo
37:23trailing 10-7.
37:25Josh Cuevas
37:27the intended receiver.
37:28And now it's going
37:29to be third and eight
37:30for the Ravens.
37:32Ian, you mentioned
37:33that Huntley
37:34didn't get the reps
37:35this week.
37:35I thought it was
37:36interesting talking
37:37with Ravens
37:38offensive coordinator
37:38Declan Doyle.
37:39He said the last
37:40couple weeks
37:41he actually had
37:42two call sheets.
37:43one for if Lamar
37:44was going to play
37:45one if he ended
37:46up not playing.
37:47I wonder if he even
37:48did the second one
37:49this week.
37:50He probably just
37:51had the Lamar
37:52call sheet
37:53not expecting
37:54Huntley to be
37:54back in the game.
37:57Doyle the 30-year-old
37:58OC for the Ravens.
38:00He gets crushed!
38:02Ball is free!
38:05Ravens and Bills
38:06fighting for it.
38:08Buffalo football!
38:12Cole Bishop
38:13with a hit
38:14on Huntley.
38:18This is what
38:19people were
38:20expecting more
38:21from
38:21from Jim Leonard.
38:23Overload
38:24blitzes,
38:25pressure.
38:25They're going to
38:26pick up the
38:27linebacker
38:28Elam Zor
38:28but it's Bishop
38:30who comes
38:30scot-free
38:31and knocks
38:32that ball out.
38:34The thought
38:35was that they
38:36would be more
38:36aggressive with
38:37Leonard as the
38:38D coordinator.
38:38they really
38:39haven't been
38:40but that time
38:41they were.
38:42Alarms
38:43Orr
38:44comes up
38:44with a recovery.
38:46Huntley didn't
38:47have a chance.
38:48Bishop got him
38:48clean.
38:51It looked like
38:52Simpson had the
38:53first crack at it
38:54and then the
38:55rookie from
38:56TCU slides
38:57in there
39:00to recover
39:01the fumble.
39:02And you know
39:03Ian you always
39:04account for the
39:05second level
39:06defender
39:06so that's why
39:07they were able
39:08to pick up
39:09Elam Zor
39:09you don't have
39:11it built in
39:11the protection
39:12if they bring
39:13a third level
39:14defender
39:14if they bring
39:15a safety
39:15like that.
39:16So Bishop
39:17cheated up
39:17and then came
39:18the Ravens
39:19really didn't
39:20have an answer
39:21for that.
39:21You just have
39:22to hope
39:22that the
39:22quarterback
39:22sees it.
39:27Mills with a
39:27first down
39:28at the Baltimore
39:2920.
39:30Moving pocket
39:30Allen took
39:32a shot
39:34just as he
39:34was about
39:35to hit
39:35the 15
39:36so give
39:36him a gain
39:37of 5.
39:38Kayvon Wallace
39:39over there
39:40for Baltimore.
39:45We asked
39:46Josh Allen
39:46about the
39:47improv plays
39:48it was
39:49one of the
39:50highlights of
39:50the year
39:51in Vegas
39:52and he said
39:52look to be
39:53great you
39:54got to be
39:54willing to
39:55fail.
39:55I just trust
39:56my instincts
39:56in those
39:57situations.
39:58Yeah he said
39:59he's not
39:59going to do
40:00the New
40:00England
40:00Patriots
40:01backward
40:01pass
40:02thing
40:02again.
40:04Instinctually
40:05that's telling
40:05him that's
40:06bad.
40:07Not a give
40:08to Cook.
40:10They get
40:11to him
40:12quickly
40:12and it's
40:13a two
40:14and a half
40:14yard
40:14pickup.
40:16It's third
40:17down and
40:17manageable
40:17here as
40:18Matabike
40:19will get
40:20credit for
40:20the tackle.
40:21Pretty
40:22solid job
40:23by this
40:23Ravens
40:24defense
40:24against
40:25James
40:25Cook
40:25in the
40:26running
40:26game.
40:26So far.
40:29Third
40:30and three
40:30usually

43:12so if you're
43:13an offensive lineman
43:14and you see him
43:15throw the flag
43:15you're really happy
43:17they bring Ty Johnson in
43:24place the ball just short of the three
43:26first and goal for Buffalo
43:28it's Johnson
43:29it's not much there
43:33Ravens bring him down
43:35with Mike Green leading the charge
43:39James Cook coming back out there
43:42what an effort
43:43by him
43:44I mean the Ravens played that fourth and one option very well
43:49Cook only weighs 190 pounds
43:52we told him on Friday
43:53he set the record last year for most rushing yards by a guy 190 pounds or less in NFL history
44:00he loved it
44:01watch him follow the fullback here
44:02extra offensive lineman Austin Kerbit is in
44:07Cook knifing
44:09second push
44:11not enough
44:17it's inside the one
44:22Hawes kicks out
44:24Knox
44:25was in the backfield as a fullback he let up into the hole
44:31they're about a half yard short
44:34this is almost always quarterback sneak time
44:37Joe Brady's at least looking at his place
44:40like he might call something else
44:42I don't know why you would
44:45third and goal for Buffalo
44:49Allen
44:51spun down
44:53Kyle Hamilton combining with Malakai Starks
44:57they deny Allen
44:59trying to take it to the outside
45:01don't like this call at all
45:04it's only third down
45:07sneak once sneak twice if you have to
45:10that's twice on this drive
45:12the Buffalo Bills try to get a little too cute
45:16with the most dependable play in football
45:19their quarterback sneak to the left
45:22and it brings on Tyler Bass
45:25for a short kick
45:27made the 56 yarder
45:29set the team record for his 19th consecutive
45:3122 yards away
45:34it's good
45:3713-7 the Bills
45:39lead the Ravens
45:429.50 to play in the first half
45:47March Stadium
45:49their five acre corn maze
45:51which is amazing
45:52the only issue
45:54this is just a quibble
45:55it looks like Jim Zorn
45:57played for the Bills
45:58that was a lefty QB
46:00in the corn maze
46:01but spectacular
46:04there it is
46:05is that Steve Young?
46:08that is incredible
46:1213-7
46:13Bills in front
46:15after the Bass
46:1622 yard field goal
46:18he'll kick it off
46:21Ali waiting
46:22he's got it
46:23at the six
46:26Ali slowed down
46:27stays upright
46:29and still going
46:30what an effort

46:34out of bounds
46:35inside the 35
46:38big play
46:39on special teams

46:48here's Evan Washburn
46:49line of short field
46:50for third quarterback
46:51Joe Fignano
46:52who makes his way
46:52onto the field
46:53because Tyler Huntley
46:54appears is dealing
46:55with a right foot injury
46:57426 in the first quarter
46:59seemed to suffer
47:00that injury
47:00we showed you
47:01some footage
47:02of him getting
47:02worked on
47:03on the Baltimore
47:04sideline
47:04and a reminder
47:05for everybody
47:06who's just tuning in
47:07Lamar Jackson
47:07out for the remainder
47:08of this game
47:09with a right thumb injury
47:10suffered that
47:11on the first play
47:11so you're now
47:12to your emergency
47:13third quarterback
47:14for the Baltimore Ravens
47:15now the way
47:16that it's set up
47:17Evan
47:17it's for an emergency
47:19which means
47:20Huntley cannot
47:20come back in
47:21this is Fignano's game
47:23making his NFL debut
47:24the rookie from UConn
47:26he's gonna throw it
47:28a low one
47:29going down
47:29trying to get it
47:31Josh Cuevas
47:34it's complete
47:35for 15 yards
47:36that was close
47:37Ravens would need
47:38to get on the football
47:39here
47:41I think he did
47:42catch it
47:42but you want to
47:43snap it quick
47:43so the Bills can't
47:44throw a challenge flag
47:48Fignano
47:49to throw it again
47:50he'll gut it
47:52and that's caught
47:53by Lane
47:53rookie to rookie
47:55UConn to USC
47:58well and these guys
48:00lit it up
48:00in the preseason
48:01and Fignano
48:03undrafted rookie
48:04free agent
48:05he was awesome
48:06in the preseason
48:07for the Ravens
48:08that's why he made
48:09the roster
48:10and a lot of times
48:11he was throwing it
48:12to Jacoby Lane
48:12they have a real
48:14comfort level
48:14and there's some
48:15Ravens fans out there
48:16that are excited
48:17to see what
48:18Fignano can do
48:18with an opportunity
48:20he's got a ton
48:21of experience
48:22between Maine
48:23and UConn
48:24he played a lot
48:24of football
48:27Fignano was
48:28originally a walk-on
48:29at Maine
48:31first and goal
48:32for Baltimore
48:34Fignano
48:35in trouble
48:36and Fignano
48:37is dumped
48:39back at the
48:3918 yard line
48:42Landon Jackson
48:43gets home
48:45Bills do a lot
48:46of stunts
48:47watch
48:47you'll see
48:47Walker here
48:48Jackson loop
48:49around
48:50it's called
48:51a TT
48:51the one tackle
48:53goes upfield
48:54the other tackle
48:55loops around
48:55Juergens
48:56and Voorhees
48:57need to pass
48:58that off

49:00was grabbing
49:02Juergens
49:02by the way
49:03Juergens
49:04motioned after
49:05the play
49:06but if the
49:06refs don't see
49:07it
49:07it doesn't matter
49:10just a quick
49:11note
49:12if something
49:12were to happen
49:13to Fignano
49:14Justice Hill
49:15would be the
49:16next player
49:17to step in
49:18and play QB
49:18for Baltimore
49:21second and goal
49:21Fignano
49:22trying to dump
49:23it off to Hill
49:23and the Bills
49:25sniffed it out
49:26with Dorian
49:26Williams
49:27third and goal
49:30I mean
49:31there's never
49:31really
49:33a great
49:34situation
49:34to get
49:35your first
