00:00My colleague Abdul Bashir continues to stay with us, who was allegedly assaulted by these unidentified individuals in Andhra Pradesh's
00:09Polivendula.
00:09Abdul, now a war of words and a blame game has clearly erupted between the YSRCP and the TDP,
00:15where YSRCP is saying that TDP is behind this violence.
00:18TDP is claiming that it is the YSRCP that is responsible for this violence.
00:27Well, what we're learning is that who were these assassins, who was this mob who attacked us,
00:32is the police who will investigate and give out the facts.
00:35The main is the CCTV in that particular area.
00:39The CCTV to play a major role as we spoke to the inspector.
00:42He said there are four cameras working in working conditions and that CCTV will play a major role is what
00:47we're learning.
00:47But what also has happened in Polivendula is that while Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that most of his booth
00:55agents,
00:55around more than 60 to 70 booth agents, were not allowed to enter the booth itself.
01:00The booth capturing was ongoing as what while Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged.
01:04And he had reached out to the municipal office there, to the election officers.
01:11And there was a dharna that was held at the municipal office by these agents where Jagan Mohan Reddy himself
01:18sat on the spot,
01:19demanded that there must be action against those who are, you know, conducting or organizing this kind of violence in
01:27Polivendula.
01:28And that is how, and he also met me and video journalist Vijay and, you know, he's expressed, you know,
01:37shock about this particular incident
01:40and said that definitely he is going to, you know, talk to the SP and make sure that there is
01:46strict action against those involved.
01:48Well, the TDP has also approached us.
01:51They have also said that whatever has happened is not, you know, correct, that it's completely condemnable.
01:57And it is to be seen who are these people, what were they trying to do and what exactly was
02:01their intention at that particular spot.
02:03We were just doing the coverage, we were doing our job.
02:06And when these people suddenly planned this particular attack and just to, you know, delete all the evidences that were
02:15there in the camera,
02:16what the incidents that were taking place, they had snatched away camera, damaged the camera and also attacked the video
02:23person, the video journalist here.
02:25They snatched away memory card, which is very crucial.
02:28And that is what we filed a complaint with the Polivendula police station, you know, seeking that they recover the
02:34memory card,
02:35the battery that had been snatched away by those mob which was present there.
02:40The police has not identified anybody yet, but yes, they have promised that strict action will be taken against those
02:46who were involved in this particular attack.
02:48All right.
02:50All right, Abdul, thank you for joining us and please stay safe, please take care.
02:55So, India Today crew members were today attacked by these unidentified individuals in Andhra Pradesh's Polivendula,
03:02where they were covering the civic poles that turned violent.
03:05The camera was smashed, as you can see in these visuals.
03:07The battery was taken out, the memory card was taken out.
03:11What my colleague Abdul was also telling us that they had recorded the stone pelting incidents
03:16and also the alleged pole rigging that was happening.
03:20And that is when these angry mob assaulted the India Today crew members and carried out this attack.
