"Welthauptstadt Germania" (World Capital Germania) was the projected, monumental renewal of Berlin planned by Adolf Hitler and his chief architect, Albert Speer, between 1937 and 1939.
The project aimed to transform Berlin into a megacapital reflecting the power of the Nazi regime, but it was ultimately halted by the outbreak of World War II.
