00:12executive David Morton at 3.45 in the morning. Morton and his adult daughters, Maggie and
00:17Christina, confronted the intruders and tried to fight them off. Shots were fired and all three
00:22were struck, two in the leg and one in the arm. Their mom, Doriana, was then beaten with a hammer.
00:26Two family members were hospitalized after suffering life-threatening injuries. The
00:30others were wounded but not critically. It's believed the perps may have wanted to rob the
00:35upscale residence. There was a demand made for valuables from within the home. No arrests have
00:39been made. The suspects fled the area in an SUV. Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow called on the community
00:44to come forward with any information relating to the break-in.
