00:07Today we're going to show you how to recognize a mono lid and how to do the best makeup for
00:11that eye shape.
00:12We're going to start by swiping a fairly large swipe of waterproof eyeliner on the upper
00:18lid.
00:19It's important to use waterproof with a mono lid because the makeup can tend to carry once
00:24you open your eye.
00:25Make sure you're smudging it all the way down to the lash line and keep the line fairly
00:30thick.
00:31Carry the line out, getting thinner as you go.
00:35Open your eyes to check the width of the line.
00:38If you're still practicing, it's best to do small, sketchy strokes and then finish with
00:44one bold line.
00:45The next step is to use a lighter colored eyeshadow right above the eyeliner as a buffer.
00:51We're going to use a small brush and swipe from the inside to the outside.
00:56This will also absorb any oil that gets on your lid and help with the lasting power of
01:01your eyeliner.
01:02Make sure you blend the shadow so that it's seamless.
01:05The final step is curling the lashes.
01:08We're going to finish with a couple thick coats of black mascara.
