Take a look at the video to see how you can quickly gain a few more valuable inches on short shoelaces so you can tie a real knot. The laces might not look the same as if you were to criss-cross them, but they're not too weird-looking, either. And, more importantly, it's secure, operational, and you'll still be able to easily tie and untie them.

00:00Has this ever happened to you?
00:01You go out and buy a new pair of shoes, lace them up,
00:03and then realize that you only have about an inch on either side to work with.
00:07How do you even begin to tie something like that?
00:08Instead of going out and buying new laces,
00:10I have a styling trick that makes it work as is.
00:13Instead of crisscrossing for every single eyelet,
00:15what you want to do instead is to lace upwards, crisscross,
00:18then lace upwards again until you're done.
00:19At the end, it looks deliberate, it looks really cool,
00:22and you can finally tie your shoes.
00:24And that's it.
