00:16I think our music and our personalities have always been pretty close together.
00:23We've just grown up playing music, so it's always kind of been an extension of our personality.
00:32There's this image of the kind of sad artist that hunkers down in their depression and just makes these masterpieces
00:39or something, and that's how they work.
00:41But for me, I work best when I'm really happy with my life.
00:48Music is healing to me. It's good medicine. I'm not one of these people who studied everything in 12 keys
00:54and all that.
00:55I know a lot of shapes, and then I move stuff around chromatically, and they'll be like, oh, I like
01:00the way that sounds.
01:01There's plenty of it on my record. Mistakes are great.
01:22I mean, I would actually be kind of curious to hear how it is for you, but being a girl,
01:27people are always noticing how you look when you are playing your music.
01:30And so your fashion ends up being a part of your image and your message.
01:36I don't know the idea of what, like, perfect or like the default look for any girl is something that's
01:42not natural.
01:43And I've kind of been trying to be okay with being more natural as well as also still caring about
01:49fashion and how I express myself.
01:53Fashion is just a way of delivering something to people on another level. It's like the same sentiment, but in
01:58a different medium.
01:59A lot of people guide themselves very visually, and music is part of a larger activity for them.
02:05It is a performing art, and I think on stage you have a responsibility to lift people out from the
02:10everyday.
02:11To outsmart the just normal thing, which is just to be sexy, I like that.
02:16With internet, a lot of times your music isn't going to be heard, but you are going to be seen.
02:20So you want to have what you stand for as a musician. You want it to come through.
02:23You get more, more freedom to have your art spill over into other territories.
02:29I thought I was going to be really good with this new box kind of thing.
02:33Yeah, that was awesome.
02:34All right, okay, thank you very much.
02:35You want me to hear a question.
02:36You
