00:09I wouldn't want to live in a world without art or imagination or creativity.
00:15The power of being able to listen to other people's expression, witnessing vulnerability.
00:20Sometimes it's hard to directly communicate your human experience to someone.
00:24And if you can channel that through some other medium and deliver it to another person,
00:29it's a great way to connect.
00:34In high school, going to some of my first Dresden doll concerts,
00:38which is a combination of art and punk rock, I saw body painting for the first time.
00:46I like how my pieces aren't just stagnant, but there's some element of performance to it.
00:51Whenever I paint myself, it reveals a completely different side of myself that I didn't see before.
00:57And I wanted to give other people the chance to have that experience.
01:02Putting on paint, you don't look like yourself at the end.
01:05You don't even recognize yourself.
01:06And that experience on its own is incredible.
01:10Ideally, I would hope that we all can be artists in our everyday life.
