00:00Hey, what's up guys? Welcome to Dimension. I'm Serena. I'm Emily. And I'm Sojourner, and this is your weekly roundup
00:05of everything pop culture lovers have been buzzing about this week.
00:08Now, ladies, before we spill the tea, we have a very special guest joining us today. She's a Grammy Award
00:14winning singer and songwriter. Please welcome Megan Church!
00:20Hey, girl! I'm so excited!
00:23We are talking about her new single, No Excuses. And so Megan, today we are drinking a little Champagne Problems.
00:30Okay. Cheers, ladies. So cute. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Good morning. Here we go. Great start of the day.
00:38Oh, yeah. This is how we start our mornings. Yes, it is. You're on the mention.
00:42So Megan, No Excuses is such a fun, upbeat song. And you said it's kind of like your version of
00:48R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
00:49Which is respect. Find out what it means to me, okay? Find out, yes.
00:52Where did you get the inspiration for this song?
00:55Personal experience. You know, in this industry. You're in the industry, you know, just being on TV and being in
01:01the spotlight.
01:02A lot of people talk to you. A lot of older adults talk to you, too, that tell you, like,
01:09you don't know what you're talking about.
01:10And sometimes you get frustrated and you just want to yell these words.
01:14So instead, I put it in a nice, polite song. And I also made it a fun bop that the
01:18families can play in the household.
01:20We were bopping at our gym. And you don't understand. We've been bopping all morning.
01:23We were absolutely obsessed. We love the video. It's very R29 vibes.
01:27Thank you. We love the cinematography, the color, your orange eyeliner.
01:30We were all about it. You know what's crazy? That was yellow.
01:33What? Isn't that crazy? Yeah.
01:35And they put a filter on it.
01:36And I was like, it's better orange. It's better orange.
01:39It's sick. It looked amazing.
01:41It's so good. We love the music. We've always loved your music.
01:43And how has it evolved in the past couple of years?
01:45Ah, mature, I guess. I don't know.
01:47I'm learning so much in life.
01:48And I'm talking more about my personal experiences.
01:51And after what BASE did and all those songs that talked about my insecurities,
01:56I saw how it affected the world and helped a lot of girls out there and everyone out there.
02:01And so I was like, okay, if three minutes can save a life or help someone,
02:04let's do 100 three-minute songs, you know?
02:07Yeah.
02:08Now, on the topic of your music, you've done some amazing collaborations with John Legend.
02:13You even flipped that song and sang it live with Nathan Sykes.
02:15You've worked with Yo Gotti.
02:17Who are some other artists that you've been dying to get into the studio with?
02:20I'm dying to work with Britney Spears.
02:23You are about that.
02:25Let's do that.
02:26You know what I'm saying?
02:27Yeah, I grew up with it.
02:28That was my star.
02:29I love her.
02:30Hot Britney.
02:31But also, the obvious, like Justin Timberlake, if you're watching it,
02:34I, Let's Write.
02:36Brittle Mars, I've been talking about him for every interview.
02:39Oh, I can see that.
02:40That's a good dynamic duo.
02:41That's a fun dynamic duo.
02:43Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:44Yes.
02:45And so also, this week, you announced your partnership with Zumba,
02:48which we've been dancing all morning, truly.
02:51We got the moves down.
02:51But you have an exclusive choreography video with Zumba.
02:54How cool is this?
02:55So, what's that?
02:57It's a good idea.
02:57Okay, and coming from a Zumba lover, me and my mom used to take those classes.
03:01I absolutely love this collaboration.
03:02How did it come about?
03:04Oh, my gosh.
03:04This, I mean, I didn't know it looked this cool, honestly.
03:07I thought, like, an iPhone would film it.
03:09I walked in, I was like, oh, this is a music video.
03:10I gotta get good.
03:13Zumba's been supporting my music since day one.
03:15They're such a great workout class that always plays my pop songs in space.
03:20So, I, and I, in the gym, I walked by their class and be like, oh, my God, my soul.
03:25And run away.
03:26And I was too shy to take one.
03:27But this was my first Zumba class.
03:30And they're all over the world.
03:32Right.
03:32Like, the universe, I think, has Zumba everywhere.
03:35Yeah, it's a cult.
03:35Yeah, it's a cult.
03:37And so we thought, like, let's make a sick music video and a dance for everyone to learn.
03:41Because my fans always love choreo.
03:44And they love learning my dance moves.
03:46Yeah.
03:46So, we thought this would be a really fun way to do it.
03:48And it was.
03:49And it was the smartest thing we ever did.
03:51And I'm so happy we did it.
03:52And Zumba's just been so nice to me.
03:54And they keep posting videos and tagging me.
03:57And I keep, like, reposting videos I see.
03:59Oh, that fell down.
04:02It's been so fun to watch.
04:03I'm going to be, like, the coolest girl at the party when your song comes on.
04:06And I'm out there busting out choreography.
04:09I have to ask, coming from a video producer standpoint, I love the layers where you're
04:14adding all the different dancers in.
04:16How many times did you have to do that sequence of dance to get that?
04:19We did that.
04:20That was all Charm LaDonna.
04:21She's my creative director.
04:22She's amazing.
04:23She had the idea of bringing, those are some dancers I've worked with throughout all my videos.
04:27So, I was like, hey, girls.
04:29It was like a family reunion.
04:30And then we had two amazing Zumba dancers.
04:32And they were nervous.
04:33They were like, we're not professional dancers.
04:35I went, you look right.
04:36Let's do it.
04:36Right, right.
04:37But we did that maybe 10, 15 times.
04:40Yeah, a whole song.
04:42And I was dying.
04:43I was like, guys, I'm starting to sweat.
04:46No, it's like a workout.
04:47I was like, this really works.
04:50This is like a real workout.
04:52And we and I were out of breath off of, like, the first round.
04:54So, I can only imagine.
04:55I'm like, let's go.
04:56Let's do it again.
04:57I was winded.
04:58Oh, man.
04:59But you still look great doing it, though.
05:00I thought so, too.
05:01I was like, dang, my makeup was still on.
05:03It was.
05:04Nice.
05:04Here we go.
05:05Now, aside from your music and aside from Zumba, you were a co-judge on Fox's new reality
05:09show before.
05:10How was that experience in working alongside P. Diddy, DJ Khaled, and Charlie Walk?
05:15I still feel like it didn't happen.
05:16It was like such a dream come true.
05:18It was crazy.
05:19It was only six days of work.
05:21But those six days were 18-hour days.
05:24Like, the longest days I've ever had.
05:26But I learned so much from sitting next to Diddy and Khaled and working with Fergie, too.
05:32She's such a dream.
05:33Oh, Fergie.
05:34Fergie on the mission.
05:35She's so nice to me.
05:36One time I had to take a break because I couldn't stop.
05:39You know when you cry and you can't get your breath so not go like...
05:41Oh, yeah.
05:42Oh, yeah.
05:42I was like, ooh, I'm not going to do this on TV.
05:44I'm going to take five.
05:45And she ran off stage in her heels and came at me with the biggest hug ever.
05:50And I'll never forget that moment my whole life.
05:52And my mom yelled at me like, Fergie's running behind you.
05:55Turn around.
05:56So you're turning around like, yeah.
05:57That's how you hear your mom say, Fergie's running behind you.
05:59No, everything we did.
06:00Like, my mom was my assistant for that show.
06:02And she would always bring up tissues and Listerine strips.
06:05And she ended up, like, helping Diddy a lot.
06:08And I was like, yo, you're Diddy's assistant.
06:11And she was like, what am I doing?
06:12Handing up tissues.
06:13Put that on your resume.
06:16Every moment was like, why are we here?
06:17What's going on?
06:18Well, we loved you as a judge on the fashion show.
06:20You were a fan favorite all the way.
06:23You were awesome.
06:23I just loved watching Dreams Come True, too.
06:25I'm too emotional for that.
06:26Like, oh, I was crying every episode.
06:28And then saying goodbye to people.
06:30I mean, that was tough.
06:32On a more serious note, I know you underwent a second vocal surgery.
06:35And it required you not be able to speak for a little while or for months.
06:39Months, yeah.
06:39How did you get through something like that?
06:41And how do you continue to practice self-care?
06:43That was a tough one.
06:44That was a lot of moments alone with my thoughts.
06:47Even if I was with my family and comforted by my fiancee, but my boyfriend at the time,
06:52I went into my head a lot because I canceled a lot of radio shows.
06:56And those are ones you don't cancel on because you're told or you're here like they're never
07:03going to play your music ever again.
07:04And I was like, no, this is my second album only.
07:07Like, I have so much more to put out.
07:10Like, they'll never play me again.
07:12Everything I ever worked for is gone, you know?
07:15And you wonder if your voice will come back.
07:17If you talk in the first week on accident, like, I watched the Grammys and I screamed
07:22like, ah!
07:23But it was like, bleh!
07:26And you're just like, oh my God, that's what I'm going to sound like for the rest of my
07:29life?
07:29Like, you have moments of terror.
07:31And I did so much of that that I pushed myself into a bad zone of anxiety.
07:36And I didn't know it could cripple your body.
07:39And they told me my chemicals were all unbalanced.
07:41And I was like in the red zone because I told them, like, my back is burning.
07:45And I constantly am sick.
07:47And I have a fever all of a sudden.
07:48And my throat's closing.
07:49And they're like, yep, that's just anxiety.
07:51And I was like, that's crazy.
07:53So I went to a lot of doctors, figured it out, and got through it.
07:57And now I'm here.
07:58And I'm better than ever.
07:59And I'm healthier.
08:00I work out.
08:02Yeah.
08:03I can do better.
08:04Thank you for being so honest about your experiences.
08:05Yeah, it helps me hearing other people talk about it.
08:08Like, my older brother talked about his.
08:10And I was like, oh, this makes me feel so good.
08:13Yeah.
08:14Now, you mentioned your boyfriend, who is now fiance.
08:17Congratulations.
08:18Do you see the rock?
08:20I locked it down.
08:22Yes.
08:23I was like, I'm not going nowhere.
08:25It's mine forever.
08:26Now, you mentioned in interviews that, like, maybe about a week before you even met him,
08:30you were in an Uber crying, just like, where is the love of my life?
08:33I know he's out there.
08:34I'm like, where is he?
08:35Girl, I feel you on that, by the way.
08:37Yeah.
08:37I'm very, like, I've noticed sometimes it's crazy.
08:41Like, when you cry to the universe or something, I get what I want.
08:46It's crazy.
08:47Should I work?
08:48Yeah.
08:48You don't need to yell out more like, she's going to get it out there.
08:50Say out loud what she wants.
08:51My parents were always like, if you stop looking, he'll come.
08:53Right.
08:54That didn't happen for me.
08:55That's why I'm always looking.
08:56Yeah, if you're looking, like, I never stopped looking.
08:59I was looking everywhere.
09:00I'm a hopeless romantic, and I was like, he's around the corner.
09:03I can tell he's close.
09:04He's just messing up.
09:05And I would always say that in interviews.
09:07I was like, I know you're fooling around right now, but I'll see you soon.
09:09Right.
09:10I'm ready for you.
09:10And he always says, like, I wasn't ready for you.
09:13Like, I needed to figure out my life, and I'm so glad we met when we met, and it's just
09:18perfect.
09:19And week one, we were both like, oh, I want you forever.
09:22Oh, my God.
09:23Yeah.
09:24And, like, that cheesy thing where everyone's like, you just know when you know.
09:26It's real.
09:27Great.
09:27That's a real thing.
09:28Because you don't have that connection with any other human.
09:32Like, I've never felt what we have with any other soul in the entire world.
09:36It's crazy.
09:37That gives me hope.
09:38Well, on that note, Megan, thank you so much for joining us today.
09:42We honestly have that feeling with you.
09:44Right.
09:44I feel like we're soul sisters.
09:46Like, I feel like we can do this much longer.
09:47Yes. I can do this.
09:48Like, what's a week?
09:49Let's go.
09:50It's a wedding day.
09:51Yeah, yeah, yeah.
09:52Wedding.
09:52I have no plans right now.
09:53I don't know what I'm doing.
09:54Okay.
09:54Well, we'll be there.
09:55You're living there.
09:56You're living there.
09:56You're living there.
09:57You're living there.
09:58I'll just like to do it.
09:59I can't read you.
10:00I love you, Jess.
10:01We love you.
10:02We don't want you to go.
10:03Thanks for the chat.
10:04You guys can check out No Excuses on YouTube, stream it, live it, love it.
10:08It's so good.
10:09Bop it.
10:09We're all about it.
10:10It is a bop.
10:11We miss you already.
10:12And you should, too, guys.
10:15Oh, how great is Megan?
10:17She's amazing.
10:17Her energy.
10:18Oh, my God.
10:19It's infectious.
10:20I feel like she could just sit with us on the bench and every single week, too.
10:23All right, y'all.
10:24It's time to spill the tea.
10:26Spill it.
10:26Let's get into it.
10:26Let's get into it.
10:27Let's get into formation, ladies, because Beyonce and Jay-Z are going on the run, too.
10:31Yes, they're going on the run again.
10:33They're performing, concert, tour, the whole shebang, except something really sketchy
10:37happened.
10:38It went up on Ticketmaster and on Facebook, and then it was mysteriously taken down, but
10:42the internet doesn't play.
10:44They're on that screenshotting real quick.
10:46On the run, too, is coming back.
10:48We don't really know when, but we think maybe it's set to be this summer.
10:51I went to On the Run 1, and let me just say, that was one of the best concerts of
10:54my
10:55life.
10:55Did you guys make it?
10:56See, the way my coins were set up at the time, I wasn't ready.
11:00Right, you weren't ready.
11:01But this time, as soon as I saw the announcement, it didn't matter that it was a split second.
11:05I literally set up a separate bank account so I could put some money in it.
11:08It's not like a wedding fund.
11:09It's literally just like...
11:10It's a Beyonce fund.
11:11You have to have a Beyonce fund.
11:12The beehive.
11:12The beehive.
11:13Drop it in.
11:13And you know what I will say?
11:14Beyonce and Jay-Z, they don't do anything.
11:17It's very calculated.
11:18Everything.
11:18So this was posted on.
11:19Oh, no, P.
11:20And let's just say that On the Run, the first tour made $95.9 million, literally averaging $5 million
11:27per show.
11:28So we know that this is just going to be something we're all in for.
11:31And like imagine, a Lemonade and 444 collab kind of like...
11:35And that's what I love about On the Run because they would do songs together, then Jay would
11:39leave, Beyonce would come, then Beyonce would leave.
11:40So it was like every song you were like, it was like an exorcism of music.
11:44I already see a mashup between 444 and Don't Hurt Yourself.
11:49Like I see that happening.
11:50It's...
11:50Oh, my God.
11:51And obviously Top Off is so lit.
11:53Maybe DJ Khaled will like come by.
11:55Top Off.
11:55I mean, he did open for her during Lemonade, so maybe.
11:58So there's some shady stuff going on there.
12:00Woo.
12:01And the Top Off, y'all.
12:02All right.
12:02I'm excited for that.
12:03All right, guys.
12:04But now you know what I'm excited for?
12:05It's time to get lit.
12:07So if you are not watching The Arrangement on E!, you are seriously missing out.
12:12It's a dark drama that centers around a young actress, Megan Morrison, and her relationship
12:17with high-profile celebrity, Kyle West.
12:20So here with us today to spill all the drama on Season 2 is the star of the show, Christine
12:25Evangelista.
12:26Woo.
12:28Hey, guys.
12:29We are so glad to have you here today.
12:31Thank you for having me.
12:32I'm excited to be here.
12:33Good.
12:33Now, before we jump into all of our questions, for your viewers at home, check out
12:37the Season 2 trailer of The Arrangement here.
12:40This year has been unbelievable.
12:42Bring it over here.
12:43Kyle.
12:44When I met Kyle, I fell in love.
12:49We both did.
12:50It was perfect.
12:53It was a whirlwind romance.
12:56And completely unexpected.
13:00Then when I became involved with the Institute for the Higher Mind.
13:03Please, no!
13:05I knew I could leave my old life behind.
13:10I'm beginning to understand more about who I am.
13:15And who I can be.
13:18I feel like a whole new Megan.
13:21I feel free.
13:25And now that I'm learning to control my own narrative, no one can stop me.
13:39Oh, man.
13:40Guys, it's getting spiked.
13:41That gave me chills.
13:43What?
13:44So, Christine, the arrangement kind of exposes this darker side of Hollywood.
13:48And it's kind of fitting what's happening in our time right now.
13:51How do you think showing these things on a show really kind of pushes this conversation forward?
13:56You know, it's interesting.
13:58As we were wrapping the second season, the Me Too movement started to gain some steam.
14:03And I don't want to say it was coincidence, you know, one show with this.
14:06But it wasn't by design at all.
14:09But what I will say is I'm very happy that we'd reach a tipping point in society and within the
14:14industry.
14:15And we're giving a voice to women who have felt so voiceless for so long.
14:19And I'm very excited to play a strong character.
14:22It's great to play a strong woman on television right now.
14:25She's taking control and looking to take down the patriarchy.
14:29We are about that.
14:31You can even do that trailer.
14:33I mean, that's just like, you're just like, yes.
14:34Megan's a boss.
14:35Megan is a boss.
14:36Lady boss, for sure.
14:37Love it.
14:38We're about that.
14:38So, it's rumored that the show mirrors some real-life Hollywood couples.
14:42Is there any validity to that?
14:44There's not.
14:44And I think, like, you see season one.
14:46Megan's her own girl.
14:47She's got her own history, her own story.
14:49They're not based off anyone else.
14:50But people speculate that they're based off of certain situations.
14:54And I don't blame them.
14:55But these are totally original characters.
14:58Okay.
14:58Fair enough.
14:59We'll take it.
15:00Okay, good.
15:01Now, this is your first major, like, leading role.
15:04And in the first season, we see your character, Megan, as she's in that same situation.
15:08So, what advice would you give to aspiring actors and actresses?
15:11Work hard and have a good foundation for yourself.
15:15I think that's one of the differences between Megan and myself.
15:18You know, Megan doesn't really have a strong foundation in her life.
15:21She doesn't have a really good team, a good relationship with certain family members and friends.
15:26And I think it's very important to surround yourself with people that you trust.
15:30And that's my advice.
15:33There you go.
15:34You need strong, solid people in your corner.
15:36Yeah, I feel very lucky that I'm supported by strong women.
15:39I come from a strong family.
15:41So, off the bat, yeah.
15:43No matter what profession, right?
15:44Exactly.
15:45Exactly.
15:45That's totally, yeah, relatable advice.
15:48So, how do you think that Megan has grown from season one to this next season that we're about to
15:53see?
15:53She's grown significantly.
15:55She's completely come into her own.
15:56And I always say, you know, season one she was leading with her heart and season two she's leading more
16:01with her mind.
16:03And, you know, she's learned a lot.
16:05She's faced her own inner demons and she knows the lay of the land with Hollywood.
16:10And season two she's really coming back strong and she's learned from her mistakes.
16:15For those who haven't seen this show, what do you think?
16:18Why should they watch the arrangement?
16:20I think there's a lot of reasons why people should watch the arrangement.
16:23It's a story that people have speculated about, but it's never been done before.
16:28Right.
16:28This is a totally original television show, which is great.
16:31I think Megan's a great character.
16:33She's a strong female character.
16:35It's an interesting love story, which I think is all people would respond to.
16:40That's what's so catering to me, too, is just the love story element with these two high-profile celebrities.
16:44Right, and there's a lot of relatability in this.
16:47Like, season one, it's the honeymoon phase.
16:50They're getting to know each other.
16:51Now, season two, they know each other and conflict starts to set in.
16:55And I think that's something that a lot of women can deal with, too.
16:58Another thing I think women can deal with, Megan, is in season two in a new situation.
17:04You know, she has to placate the Institute a bit.
17:07You know, she has to pretend to go along with them.
17:08So, she has to be the perfect girlfriend to Kyle.
17:11She has to be the perfect model for the Institute, the perfect actress.
17:15You know, she's leading herself in all these different ways, and I think that's relatable for women, too.
17:20All the time, you know, we're different people, and we're in different situations, and we have to adjust to that.
17:26And I think that's very relatable.
17:28Now, without any spoilers, what are some themes that we can look forward to seeing this season that our audience
17:33can say,
17:33Okay, I see what's going on here.
17:35I'm excited to see what this is about.
17:36Well, the whole season is completely elevated.
17:39Relationships to clothing to where we go.
17:43I mean, the stakes are higher in every way.
17:45But I think they're planning a wedding this season, so we'll see the wedding.
17:49We like that.
17:50We love weddings.
17:51It's a little creepy because the Institute is influencing the wedding.
17:55It's not about Megan and Kyle necessarily, you know.
17:59So, we'll see that a bit.
18:00And we learn more about the Institute and expose its corruption and why Kyle is so drawn to it and
18:08why he can't leave.
18:09Yeah.
18:09But we'll see that.
18:10And can you just give us a bit of background about the Institute for those who don't watch this so
18:14we can make sure they're hit right?
18:15So, the Institute is this insular self-help group that Kyle is a part of.
18:20It's kind of very cultured, very controlling in his life and sort of navigates all of his decision-making.
18:28Okay.
18:28Okay.
18:29So, Christine, last question.
18:31Yesterday we celebrated International Women's Day.
18:32Yes.
18:33Which was so exciting and something that we love here at Finance 29.
18:35It's an emotional time, too.
18:37It was very emotional.
18:38I felt very emotional.
18:39I could not have posted more about it.
18:41Right?
18:42I did, too.
18:42And that's why it's so cool hearing you have such a strong foundation, so many powerful women in your life.
18:47How do you think that we can keep telling stories of these powerful women in more than just March?
18:52In more than, you know, because international, everyone's focused on this one day.
18:55It seems like to just have all this information here.
18:57But how do you think we continue that beyond just this time?
18:59It's our responsibility.
19:00And I think the more that we unite and the more we talk about it, the more that these stories
19:06are going to be told.
19:07And I think it's in our hands now, and it's more of a conversation.
19:09And you're right, it's not a day.
19:11But I think let's look at it that this marks the day of our future.
19:15And the more that we can create those conversations with each other, I think, you know, that's, it'll inevitably happen
19:22that way.
19:23But it starts with us.
19:24Yeah.
19:25And women also are uniting more than ever.
19:27So that in itself is going to happen.
19:30It will organically happen.
19:32Empowered women empower women.
19:33Yes.
19:34It is.
19:35Yeah.
19:36Anyway, thank you so much for joining us.
19:38Thank you so much.
19:38We're watching the show.
19:39We love you so much.
19:40And you guys can check out the arrangement on E! March 11th.
19:44And we will be tuning in.
19:45I'll tell you that much.
19:45And we will.
19:46Thank you, Steve.
19:47Thank you so much.
19:47Bye.
19:48Another show that I am obsessing about, too, is The Bachelor finale.
19:54We need to talk about it.
19:55Woof.
19:56That was, talk about some tea spillers.
19:58And we're going to get into this.
19:59Yeah, you're right.
20:00I need a little sip.
20:01Here we go.
20:01Cheers, ladies.
20:03These ones are strong today.
20:04Yeah, they're good.
20:05Real good.
20:05All right.
20:06If you guys haven't seen The Bachelor finale, let me just clue you in really, really quickly.
20:11The season's Bachelor, Ari, ended the season with proposing to the contestant, Becca.
20:16A couple weeks later, we find out, and we see this on television, that Ari had broken
20:21up with Becca on TV with cameras and everything.
20:25We see her crying and everything, the whole shebang.
20:27And then a week later, he proposes to runner-up, Lauren.
20:31It was the most cringeworthy.
20:33Like, they kept saying it's the most dramatic finale ever, but honestly, I thought they were
20:37exploiting Becca by putting her on camera.
20:40Later in an interview, Ari says that the reason he was happy to put this on television, the
20:44breakup on television, was because he wanted her to have the chance of being The Bachelorette,
20:47which she now is.
20:48But Chris Harrison caught him out for that.
20:50He was like...
20:50Yeah.
20:50I mean, when did Becca say she wanted to be The Bachelorette?
20:54Right.
20:54She wanted to be your fiancée.
20:55Right.
20:56So what are you doing, Ari?
20:57I agree.
20:58What do you guys think?
20:58Okay, I also have to say that you, Sarah, you know me.
21:01I'm the biggest Bachelor fan.
21:02I'm like, I love watching The Bachelor.
21:03This season, I have not watched a single episode but to watch this finale because I...
21:08Not loyal.
21:08...had the weirdest feeling about Ari.
21:11And it proved to be true.
21:12You're not alone.
21:12I just felt like he was not good.
21:14I just feel like he didn't have...
21:15I actually saw this hilarious meme that was like a girl, you know, they sit...
21:18Him and Becca sit in silence for a minute and Ari goes, I love that.
21:21You know, I just...
21:22That's what he kept saying.
21:23He doesn't know anything.
21:24I love that.
21:25Yeah.
21:25And I just feel like, I don't know, I just feel like that was so tacky, the whole thing.
21:30But it reminds me of Jason Mesnick and Molly.
21:32Do you guys remember that season?
21:34He did the same thing, proposed to someone else.
21:36Right.
21:36He was on the After the Rogue.
21:38Yes, he was.
21:38The thing about it, and in Ari's defense, and I'm just putting it out there, do we think
21:43that, listen, The Bachelor films for a month.
21:46That means in a month, he has to go through all these girls and actually propose.
21:50And part of the reason he said he made a mistake was because he just needed more time.
21:54And he went with the safer option.
21:56What do you guys think about this?
21:57You know, if you need more time, then say, I need more time.
22:00Right.
22:00Like, you don't have to get down.
22:02I know the premise of the show is to end up proposing to the woman that you pick, but
22:06you don't have to get down on one if you're not.
22:08Be like that, though.
22:09In the earlier bachelors, you didn't have to propose.
22:12Right.
22:12Some of the guys didn't.
22:13Okay, see, so if you're not sure, then just don't put people's hearts on the line like
22:17And here's why I don't buy that, either.
22:19It's so you can go date for one month, propose, and then all of a sudden, you're like, I messed
22:23up.
22:23I'm going to propose again.
22:24Like, the obvious reason, if you're not ready to propose either way, then you just
22:27take a step back.
22:28Right.
22:28Like, you don't solve a proposal by having another proposal.
22:30Anyway, I think Becca's going to be an incredible bachelorette.
22:33She's kind of like the Kate Middleton vibe of bachelorette.
22:35The way she carries herself for poise and elegance.
22:38Very sweet.
22:38We already saw some of the men in After the Final Rose because they do that now.
22:42Yeah, try to meet them.
22:43They're cute guys.
22:44I'm excited for her.
22:45She's going to get some fine bachelors.
22:46Speaking of bachelor contestants, I got to meet Corinne Olympias, my love, my queen, and
22:51I got to hear what she had to say about Ari.
22:53Check it out here.
22:55Switching gears a little bit.
22:56Bachelor this season.
22:58Why do you react like that?
23:00It's just boring.
23:01Right?
23:01It's just like, I don't buy him as a bachelor.
23:04Like, I can't stress this enough.
23:07Like, there's no difference in any of his relationships.
23:10Like, this one has sexual chemistry.
23:12This one, they have the same humor.
23:14This one, they both want the same things for a home life.
23:16Like, there's no, like, conversation about, like, anything different.
23:23Oh, you're really passionate about this.
23:27You're really passionate about this.
23:29I'm sorry.
23:30At least I didn't get anybody.
23:31And look at my cat-like reflexes.
23:33I love it.
23:33That was beautifully done.
23:35We're really spilling the tea.
23:39Okay, I will have to say, I was actually on set for this, and Serena and Corinne are truly
23:44the same person.
23:45They are literal peas in a pod.
23:46In case you guys were wondering.
23:48Soul me.
23:49It was a treat to watch this.
23:50But it was great to see Corinne, because she has so much going on since The Bachelor.
23:54She is a clothing line with Riot Society.
23:56She has a podcast that's called So Random that is actually funny, and I listen to it.
24:01And she has a lingerie line coming out.
24:02So it's really cool that she just, like, catapulted this career after getting dumped by Nick.
24:07You know what?
24:08We're not a fan of it anyway, so.
24:09We're not, no.
24:10Use that platform, bro.
24:11I'm proud of you.
24:11I'm really proud of you.
24:13Now, on to our star of the week, my forever and ever and ever first lady, Mrs. Michelle.
24:19Yes.
24:21Preach.
24:48Preach.
24:49Well, a meet and greet turned into a full-blown dance party.
24:53Shoes off, music on.
24:54They were bumping and grooving.
24:56Like, it was absolutely adorable.
24:58Parker's mom said that Parker could not have enough.
25:01She and Michelle, again, two peas in a pod.
25:03The chemistry was there.
25:04It was adorable.
25:05Michelle took to her Instagram to post a photo of herself and Parker, and she said,
25:09keep dreaming big for yourself, and maybe one day I'll proudly look up at a beautiful portrait
25:14of you.
25:14Yes.
25:14And that is just, my heart smiled all the way through.
25:17That gives me chills.
25:18It was adorable.
25:19And now, Michelle Obama and Refining 29 actually teamed up to do an article about International
25:24Women's Day and to talk about Michelle Obama's continued efforts to empower young girls
25:29through education.
25:29So we put the link in the bio.
25:31Make sure you check it out.
25:32It's a must-read.
25:33And another exciting tidbit of news is that the Obamas are apparently in talks with Netflix
25:38to do some content.
25:40I'll be binge-watching that Barack and Michelle show.
25:42Let me tell you that much.
25:44I miss them so much.
25:45So if I have to get more of a glimpse of their life through watching Netflix, I'm doing it.
25:50I'm all about it.
25:51Wow.
25:51What a great show, guys.
25:52It's fantastic.
25:53This is an amazing show.
25:54Guys, thank you so much for joining us.
25:56Have a great weekend.
25:57We will see you next Friday at noon.
25:59Thanks, guys.
25:59Bye, guys.
26:02Bye, guys.
