00:05I would not know how to function without my nails. I know that sounds funny but I
00:09just I wouldn't be able to function. My name is Kathy Jordan. I'm from a little
00:13town in Mississippi so I came up here I got married and then I got divorced and
00:19with two children I had no money so I want to change something in my life. With
00:24no money how you're gonna change something so I started growing my nails
00:27so that's how they got so long. I function very well I put my contacts in
00:32I tie my shoes if I can't get something I use a pair of tongs from the kitchen. I
00:40find a way. When you're when you're different you need to expect that people
00:44are going to ask you questions and I'm usually okay with it and to normal people
00:51out there society I'm different. It's taught me to be more tolerant of
00:56people you know because it's just I think of it as when they're negative
01:02they're just it's just their ignorance talking you know they're just they don't
01:08know what it's like and you know if it's not the norm what people say is a norm
01:13you know you're ostracized sometimes. The most common question is how do you
01:17clean yourself so I used to try to explain it to them so now I just tell them that I
01:23don't and usually they shut up after that. I'm very independent I can do whatever
01:30you can do I just find a different way to do it.
