Police renew appeal for Dela Rosa to surrender as clock winds down

Lt. Gen. Wilson Joseph Lopez, Philippine National Police (PNP) deputy chief for Administration on Oct. 30, 2026 appeals to former PNP chief and now Sen.Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa to surrender to avoid casualties. Lopez called on Dela Rosa to remember his former role as the 'father of the PNP,' saying he should not allow police officers, whom he once led, to be placed in danger. He added that the police were simply performing their duty. Dela Rosa is the subject of an International Criminal Court arrest warrant over alleged killings linked to former president Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs. He also has a P50 million bounty for information leading to his arrest.
