00:07show you some tips and tricks on secondhand shopping. So let's head inside.
00:17So here are my three tips for thrift shopping slash consignment shopping.
00:22My first tip is to not be overwhelmed by all the different things that you see.
00:27So opposed to just looking rack after rack, I think the best thing is to look at the displays first.
00:34When I first go inside a thrift store or consignment store, my first thing is to beeline to the shoes
00:39because shoes are super easy for me to look at. They're all laid out, they're small and compact.
00:44You see your size right away and the design is just right in front of you.
00:47I would recommend coming on a day where you're just completely free because you don't want to rush this process.
00:57So my next tip is to never rule out a certain size or a certain length. Always know that you
01:03can customize something.
01:04So for example, I found this really amazing maxi dress, but it's pretty freaking long, especially for my frame.
01:12As I've said a million times, I'm five foot one, so maxi dresses can be a little bit tricky on
01:17me.
01:17But what you can do is just get a pair of scissors, hack it off, and have it be more
01:23flattering to your figure.
01:24And this is a really great dress because it has a cincher as well, so you can kind of like
01:28play with where you want it to kind of hug your curves.
01:35So my last tip is to not rule out the men's section because the men's section can have some really
01:41amazing things.
01:42Every time I go there, I'm always praying for a really cool graphic tee or a band shirt because that's
01:48where things are really worn in, kind of oversized, loose, and comfortable.
01:53And you can also even find flannel there. I feel like a lot of styles are unisex, so men and
01:58women can rock the same style.
