00:08I'm going to say a lot of women in my, I'm in magazines, in my profession may come to the
00:13age where their doctor says to them, have you thought about freezing the eggs? And then they
00:16go, well, that's great, but it's $15,000 and I don't have that money. Keep in mind storage costs,
00:23keep in mind genetic testing of embryos, keep in mind IVF. These are all of the anticipated costs
00:29down the line.
00:45Egg freezing is, is more than just an insurance policy. It's really setting myself up for any
00:52life I want, whether that includes a man or not.
00:55And although today I may not see myself having kids in this moment, maybe I'll want that
01:02later. I would love to keep my options open.
01:11It's not an insurance policy, that's for sure. You might be one of the lucky people, but you're
01:16more likely to undergo a lot of discomfort, some risk and a lot of expense and then have
01:24heartbreak because you don't have a child. And you thought maybe you were going to get
01:28one out of those frozen eggs.
01:34Maybe they're putting a false sense of hope in something that only has an 8% chance of success.
01:40If you want to focus on your career and freeze your eggs now so that one day you can have
01:44it all, why not?
