00:11voices or saw you I was like oh magic is from people like we're the ones who kind
00:16of in a weird way tell a story or a lie to children so they do stuff that we
00:22never thought was possible my dad used to tell me every day like you can do
00:26anything you want and I remember thinking like as a kid in first grade
00:30like you're lying to me but now I do stuff and he's like I didn't think that
00:36was possible so we are cultural influences like that's what black kids are like they
00:51really change the culture of not just like America but the world yes because
00:56it translates our job our responsibility my I feel like what I'm whatever
01:00movement is happening when I talk today and when I talk to like when Malia is
01:04coming to my shows and stuff like that second generation of blackness our
01:07understanding like we have to take ownership of what we do which is build
01:11culture we do that we build culture like but we have to we have to own it I want
01:16we need to learn that like how important we are because like we don't feel really
01:20important like we don't feel like we can do those things like people are always
01:23asking me for permission on things like can I be a stand-up do you think I was
01:27like if you yeah like who's stopping you like nobody's stopping anyone anymore
01:32like but we're afraid to move on that's why there's so much like nostalgia on the
01:36internet like everything is always like remember Ninja Turtles like because we
01:42don't want to look forward because that's scary that's the thing is like people are
01:46like because the internet seems schizophrenic I'm like yeah being young and
01:49black in America it's schizophrenic you have to kind of change who you are a
01:54little bit all the time for people to even respect you we this is we are more
01:58connected than we've ever been but I feel more alone than I've ever been like no
02:02one should everybody stunts on Instagram everybody stunts all the time nobody
02:05shows like their buddies funeral nobody feels like feel vulnerable nobody wants to
02:09be vulnerable people thought I was crazy because I was honest that was it I want
02:12not like yeah yeah like I want to do something dope
