00:03Can I just stop and say if I'm red it's not because I'm perpetually embarrassed
00:06it's because I'm half Asian and if I drink whiskey. Any Asian people in here?
00:21So I wanted to to start by telling a story which I don't know if you remember but the first
00:28time
00:29our paths cross we were in London and I went to the 2812 show and I asked if I could
00:37take your picture
00:38yeah and you said no no I'm just kidding you said yes no you said yes and I went to
00:45take the picture
00:46and then this really aggro paparazzi pushed me out of the way oh and I was completely horrified and
00:54humiliated and and you looked at him you said you can't push her and in that moment I was just
01:02like that's my girl you simultaneously have all these different successful careers but at the
01:08same time you sort of give off this slacker vibe and you make it seem so easy most of my
01:15jobs I
01:16find really fun so it doesn't feel like works that might be why I'm giving off a vibe as if
01:21it's not hard work it's not that the hours aren't intense or I'm not trying my best it's something
01:26it's just that it's genuinely fun for me what was sort of your process for for deciding how to
01:31encapsulate yourself into a book imagery is kind of the most important thing for me and it's something
01:36that I enjoy exploring so initially it was about doing an edit of photographs and a lot of the ideas
01:42for the bits I'd write in between were just the loose concept that it would be around style and how
01:48my
01:48own personal style had evolved to me one of the things that's really struck me about that chapter
01:52was how much effort it takes to look effortless yeah basically like the idea that you know like
01:58this morning I washed my hair but then I had to put all this stuff in it and mess it
02:03up to make it look
02:04like I didn't wash my hair if you actually knew that I was spending hours tonguing one bit of hair
02:08and
02:09then backcombing it that's cool thought I was real life bedhead thought she'd been at cabin all night
02:14really I've been in bed since eight how did you decide on the cover I just wanted something that
02:20looked different to everything else some the pale pink and then just an eye because I'm looking back
02:25at everyone else and then with the simplest title ever yeah the guide to urban moonshining already been
02:32taken but I settled on it and I'm quite happy with it and it makes it fun to say in
02:36sentences like
02:37this it is good is there anything the audience would want to know about you I secretly enjoyed the
02:42stretch that I don't think that's a secret
