00:00Pew, pew, pew, pew, pew.
00:01Bam!
00:03Eeeh!
00:03Bam.
00:04Well, I done f***ed up.
00:06Hey guys, it's your girl Serena,
00:08and I'm here to tell you about my car crash.
00:12I'm a sophomore in college.
00:13Back then, I used to smoke some pot.
00:16I don't know why, but I did have a lot of pot in my car.
00:19And it was in my glove compartment,
00:22which is also where all your things are
00:26when you get into an accident.
00:29I'm exiting out of Target,
00:31and essentially, I just made a turn out of the parking lot
00:35without signaling.
00:37I just hear a pew, pew, pew, pew, pew.
00:39The car that I hit, uh...
00:43Yeah, that car was looking so good.
00:44This couple gets out of the car,
00:45and they're so pissed, especially the woman.
00:49It's like, you know, signal, are you crazy?
00:51You're such a bad driver.
00:52And I was like, facts on facts.
00:55I was a pretty good driver.
00:56You know, like I was trusted.
00:57I was doing a good job.
00:58I was, like, succeeding.
01:00I was like, damn, woohoo, I got this.
01:02I'm literally driving into the shopping center,
01:05and I'm about to park, and I'm turning in,
01:07and my dumb ass pressed the gas instead of the brake.
01:12And there goes the pickup truck right into a column of a shopping center.
01:17I mean, the building literally shook, so people came out,
01:19and they were like, oh my god, like, what happened?
01:21Like, what's going on?
01:22I started hysterically crying, like, breakdown, like, complete flop.
01:26Like, I just, like, felt, I just, it was such a bad situation.
01:29I was on vacation in Ireland with my boyfriend at the time.
01:33We were driving down all these narrow country roads.
01:36Not only was it wet and slippery, but there are all these cows everywhere.
01:41They didn't have any respect for the laws of human traffic.
01:44When we got back, my boyfriend just, he had this impulse to just pull into the parking lot
01:48across the street from the Airbnb we were staying at,
01:51and we just started laughing because we were totally relieved that we weren't dead.
01:56So he starts to back up out of the parking lot, and that's when it happened.
02:01It was like, bam!
02:03Into a chain-link fence.
02:05After everything else, after all of the mist and the cows,
02:11it was the chain-link fence right outside our house.
02:13That's where we crashed.
02:15I think I was 17.
02:16I didn't have my own car.
02:18I was driving our family car.
02:19We have a big family, so it was an SUV, which sucks.
02:23Whenever I was driving, I felt like I couldn't even see everything around me.
02:26I was terrified that I was going to run somebody over and have no idea
02:30because the thing's so enormous.
02:32Pretty crowded, and I was pulling out of the parking lot,
02:35and as I was backing out, I started to turn, and as I started turning,
02:40I completely sideswiped the entire side of the car to the left of me.
02:45Went to hit the brakes, put in my panic, hit the gas again,
02:49just tapped it a little bit, and it was enough for the car to finish going through
02:53and hit the rest of the car, and I'm like,
02:55oh my God, what am I doing? What am I going to do?
02:56My friend's like, nobody saw anything. Let's get out of here.
02:58I'm like, it's a parking lot in the middle of the day.
03:01Everybody saw everything. What are you talking about?
03:03Went over to the car and wrote a note and left it on the windshield.
03:06Got a call later that day, and it turned out that it was one of my manager's cars
03:09that I totally wrecked.
03:12My advice for the young drivers of America and beyond would be to be careful, be smart.
03:19Don't ever drive with anything illegal in your car. Signal. Pay attention.
03:24You have to abide by the laws of driving, and I did it, and it was just like that.
03:30I don't think if you get in an accident that it means you're a bad driver.
03:33I think sometimes a lot of it's circumstantial.
03:35It's someone in front of you does a short stop, and you don't have enough time to break,
03:39and you just get a little fender bender.
03:40Just always put safety as the first thing you're worried about.
03:44The money can be stressful, but as long as nobody gets hurt at the end of the day, that's fine
03:49because you can't really put a price on that.
