00:00You already know I've been working with Saw Gerrera.
00:03Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today, we're counting down the best games from a galaxy far, far away that were
00:09released between 2016 and 2026.
00:12Vader Immortal, a Star Wars VR series.
00:15I have to find the priestess of my clan. Down in the caverns beneath us. She's your only way off
00:22Mustafar now.
00:23Few Star Wars games have made Darth Vader quite as intimidating.
00:27This three-part VR adventure casts you as a Force-sensitive smuggler dragged into Vader's schemes on Mustafar.
00:34Turns out, actually standing face to chest with the Dark Lord is considerably more nerve-wracking than watching him through
00:41a television screen.
00:42The campaign is relatively brief, but the real magic comes from wielding a lightsaber, manipulating objects with the Force, and
00:49eventually confronting Vader himself.
00:51The lightsaber dojo modes also gave players plenty of reason to keep swinging long after the story ended.
00:58It may lean closer to an interactive experience than a full-scale game, but as a demonstration of how immersive
01:04Star Wars can be in VR, Vader Immortal remains difficult to beat.
01:09Star Wars Outlaws
01:16For decades, Star Wars games kept handing us lightsabers, and then Ubisoft finally asked whether we'd rather have a blaster,
01:24a speeder, and an extremely useful space puppy.
01:27Outlaws is the franchise's first major open-world game, following thief Kay Vess as she navigates criminal syndicates between The
01:35Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
01:37Its stealth could be uneven, and its launch wasn't exactly spotless, but now that the hate train has died down,
01:45there's fun to be had here.
01:46Wandering through cantinas, cheating at Sabacc, working for Jabba, and double-crossing whichever syndicate currently hates you least, sells the
01:54fantasy of actually living in the Underworld.
01:56And yes, Nyx absolutely deserves half the credit.
02:00Okay, not bad.
02:02But not enough.
02:03Star Wars Tales from the Galaxy's Edge
02:06I hope you feel rested enough for another glorious day, crewing your droid parts, Vader.
02:10Head to the cargo hold, and we can get the pageantry started.
02:15While Vader Immortal gave us a taste of an interactive Star Wars experience, Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is immersion
02:21at its finest.
02:23This VR adventure hands players blasters, thermal detonators, gadgets, and the freedom to explore several corners of the galaxy through
02:30different stories.
02:31Frank Oz even returned as Yoda.
02:34The original quest release was fairly modest, but expansions and the later enhanced edition helped turn it into a far
02:41more substantial package.
02:42It isn't the deepest shooter, but physically ducking behind cover while exchanging blaster fire with enemies scratches an extremely specific
02:50itch.
02:51Star Wars Squadrons
03:00For anyone who spent decades dreaming of piloting an X-Wing or a TIE fighter, Squadrons was a dream come
03:07true.
03:08Motive's cockpit-focused space combat game committed completely to the fantasy, requiring players to manage shields, engines, and weapons while
03:16desperately trying not to become space debris.
03:19Its campaign alternated between New Republic and Imperial pilots, while five-versus-five dogfights and multi-stage fleet battles gave
03:27competitive players something considerably meatier.
03:30Better still, progression and ship upgrades were earned through gameplay rather than sold piecemeal.
03:36Throw in a flight stick, and it's by far the best Star Wars VR experience to date.
03:40Star Wars Taking Damage
03:42We can't let that destroy us before it hits the moon.
03:45Star Wars Battlefront II
03:53Oh boy.
03:55Few games have experienced a journey quite like Battlefront II.
03:59Its launch became infamous for progression and monetization controversies, threatening to bury what was otherwise an incredibly ambitious package.
04:07But DICE kept working, and years of updates transformed it into something dramatically better.
04:13The final game spans all three major film eras, letting players fight everywhere from Naboo to Hoth while controlling heroes
04:20ranging from Darth Maul to Rey.
04:22While its solo campaign was there, its multiplayer has continued to endure and excel.
04:28Its redemption doesn't erase that disastrous beginning, but there's no denying Battlefront II has inescapably chiseled a place for itself
04:36in gaming's competitive landscape.
04:38Star Wars Zero Company
04:39The client gets their Guga, but what about the rest?
04:43I reckon it's up for grabs.
04:45You wanna do the honors, Pops?
04:46Star Wars and XCOM always sounded like a match made in Mustafar, and Zero Company finally made it happen.
04:53This brutal turn-based tactics game places players in command of an unconventional squad carrying out covert missions during the
05:00Clone Wars.
05:01Positioning, cover, and squad composition matter just as much as having somebody around who can swing a lightsaber,
05:08making every encounter feel like a miniature military operation rather than another heroic power fantasy.
05:14Better still, the Clone Wars setting gives Zero Company access to exactly the mixture of soldiers, Jedi, droids, and morably
05:21questionable missions.
05:22After years of Star Wars mostly living in action-adventure territory, Zero Company proved the galaxy still has entire genres
05:29left to conquer.
05:30Hawks, do you remember what I was doing before this?
05:33Sure. You were a seppy fixer.
05:36Star Wars Jedi Survivor
05:44Cal Kestis survived his first adventure.
05:47The reward? Bigger bosses, more dangerous missions, and substantially more trauma.
05:52Jedi Survivor takes nearly everything Fallen Order accomplished and expands it,
05:57offering larger environments, improved traversal, and five combat stances raging from dual lightsabers to the gloriously impractical Crossguard style.
06:05Kobo proves a surprisingly substantial hub world,
06:08while Cal's abilities finally make him feel like an experienced Jedi rather than a desperate Padawan.
06:14The game's technical problems at launch were frustrating, particularly on PC,
06:19but underneath them sits a pretty damn great Star Wars game.
06:22Most importantly, Cal's struggle against the Empire becomes increasingly personal,
06:27pushing him into some genuinely uncomfortable territory about what being a Jedi actually means.
06:33Star Wars Galactic Racer
06:34Our newest racer has arrived! Welcome to the Galactic League!
06:40Now this is pod racing.
06:43Galactic Racer throws players into an underground racing circuit starring the mysterious Shade,
06:48piloting in everything from speeder bikes to land speeders to full-blown pod racers.
06:53Tracks tear through locations like Jakku and Krait,
06:57while aggressive arcade handling makes every race feel like somebody crossed Episode I Racer with a far more dangerous motorsport.
07:04There's even competitive multiplayer for those who want to be the next Saboola.
07:08Star Wars had largely abandoned racing for decades,
07:11which makes Galactic Racer feel especially refreshing.
07:14Sometimes we don't need another Jedi struggling with destiny.
07:18Sometimes we just want to go dangerously fast through the wreckage of a Star Destroyer.
07:23Nothing I could do about it, Shade!
07:25Kestor wants it!
07:27He's convinced it's good for the sport!
07:29Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga
07:32Sign of life out there, General.
07:34Sensors are in place, you'll know if anything comes around.
07:36Trying to squeeze nine Star Wars movies into one game sounds like something only a lunatic, or Lego, would attempt.
07:44And yet, the Skywalker Saga somehow pulled it off.
07:48TT Games rebuilt its familiar formula around more involved combat, over-the-shoulder shooting,
07:53and enormous explorable locations while retaining the slapstick comedy that made Lego Star Wars a phenomenon in the first place.
08:00There are more than 300 playable characters, and over 20 unlockable planets.
08:05Meaning anybody who ever appeared vaguely near a Star Wars camera probably made the roster.
08:11Whether you're dueling Darth Maul, exploring Tatooine, or simply watching another dramatic movie moment become an elaborate brick-related accident,
08:19the sheer quantity of material is staggering.
08:22Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
08:24An error has been detected on Line 10A.
08:27All our clamps are jabbed.
08:28I need two workers to climb up and secure the cables.
08:31At a time where Star Wars games had become stagnant with loot boxes and multiplayer mishaps,
08:37along comes Fallen Order to remind everyone how hard single-player stories can go.
08:42Fallen Order introduced us to Cal Kestis,
08:45a surviving Padawan hiding after Order 66,
08:48where it combined Metroid-style exploration,
08:51Souls-inspired combat,
08:52and cinematic set pieces into one stunning planet-hopping escapade.
08:57BD-1 immediately became one of Star Wars' most lovable droids,
09:01while characters like Seer and Trilla gave Cal's journey emotional weight beyond simply slicing through stormtroopers.
09:08It was a genuine phenomenon,
09:09and remains a landmark amongst the crazy backdrop of Star Wars games,
09:14Which Star Wars game do you think reigns supreme?
09:17Are you all in on Cal Kestis,
09:19LEGO Chaos,
09:20or would you rather spend all day blasting TIE Fighters?
