A debate on India First examines the political battle over the Special Intensive Revision and voter list deletions in India. BJP National Spokesperson Charu Pragya counters allegations of electoral disenfranchisement, stating that the figures cited by the opposition represent legitimate administrative updates. She notes, 'Out of these people, 13 crore, if more than six crore people are those who have shifted base, if around three crore people are those who have lost their lives already they are deceased, if more than a crore and a half people are those who had duplicate entries, all of this needs to be taken into account.' Political analyst Sanjay Jha argues that the process represents a systemic challenge currently being examined by the Supreme Court of India. Senior journalist Aarti Jerath and former Election Commission official Mohammed Amin evaluate the legal arguments, political rhetoric, and the right to peaceful protest amid the ongoing controversy.

00:00The Congress party leadership in Kerala already taken the wind out of the party's sails on alleged vote chori.
00:07And what should one make of the BJP saying the fault actually lies with the leadership within the Congress and
00:12not the Election Commission?
00:14Let's just throw this open for wider discussion.
00:16Joining me on India first is Charu Pragya, National Spokesperson of the BJP.
00:19Sanjay Jha, author and political analyst formerly with the Congress.
00:23Mohamed Ameen is former Joint Director at the Election Commission.
00:26And Arati Jairat is a very seasoned senior journalist.
00:29Welcome. Sanjay Jha, the entire Congress vote chori narrative that started from Karnataka in 2025.
00:36And in October 2026, you have Satish Jarkioli, Karnataka minister no less, saying we don't protest about SIR in Karnataka.
00:45It's been done properly.
00:46And he explains the nearly one crore deletions.
00:51Sir, has the Congress party narrative on vote chori fallen flat?
00:57Gaurav, good evening to you and to my fellow panelists on the program.
01:02First and foremost, the issue of vote chori or the SIR being an autocratic unilateral implementation being done by the
01:11Chief Election Commissioner
01:12is actually now reaching a stratospheric level.
01:15It, in fact, I believe has escalated to a point where practically every citizen of this country is aware that
01:23there are serious fault lines in India's electoral democracy.
01:27Now, you know, Jhaar Kholi's comment, with due respect, is his personal observation.
01:32Right now, we are talking about a structural systemic challenge on the SIR, which is up before the Supreme Court
01:38of India.
01:39And Gaurav, let me point out to you what the Supreme Court has said over the last couple of days.
01:44One, they are talking about the constitutionality or the legal, shall we say, status of the logical discrepancy,
01:54the instrument which has been used by the Election Commission to disenfranchise millions of voters.
02:00Point number two, look at what they said about the Election Commission actually making a terrible error
02:07in making all those voters who were earlier barred from voting now fill up Form 6 to be eligible for
02:15voting again.
02:16These are very, very serious issues.
02:19And don't forget the fundamental point.
02:22This is not about one state.
02:24I mean, maybe Mr. Jhaar Kholi believes that Karnataka has gone well.
02:27Fair enough, maybe.
02:27But D.K. Shif Qobar has publicly pointed out that there were so many Muslim voters on whom there were
02:35BGP leaders
02:36who were using Form 7 to get them isolated from the voting process.
02:40Fair enough, but you had the electoral officer who said that just on the basis of Form 7,
02:45they are not removing anybody.
02:47They are saying due process is being followed, is being said in Karnataka, which is a Congress-ruled state.
02:52But let me bring in Charu Pragya.
02:54Satish Jharkiyoli says it's all perfect in Karnataka.
02:56But they are protesting because of states like West Bengal where voters, genuine voters were deleted.
03:04And you heard Sanjay Jha.
03:05He says millions, especially Muslims, according to the Congress party, are being disenfranchised.
03:12Including Delhi, you know, there are so many states, Bihar.
03:17West Bengal is a classic example.
03:18Fair enough.
03:19Charu Pragya.
03:22Karam, good evening to you.
03:24You know, the issue is that time and time again, Congress is trying to pretend SIR is something that it
03:29is actually not.
03:31The number of 13 crore, for example, that is being flashed around repeatedly is a number which is also a
03:37false one
03:38because that is trying to mislead the people of this country.
03:41Actually, out of these 13 crore people, Congress never gets into the details of who is who.
03:47And that is very important and pertinent to note.
03:50So, out of these 13 crore, if more than 6 crore people are those who have shifted base,
03:56if around 3 crore people are those who have lost their lives already, they are deceased,
04:01if more than a crore and a half people are those who have duplicate entries,
04:06all of this needs to be taken into account and paid attention to.
04:10And I'll tell you something, this is not the first time Congress is lying on narrative.
04:14Today, one of their own ministers is saying that one crore,
04:18nearly one crore voters' names removed from the state of Karnataka was actually done correctly
04:24because these are the people who are either deceased or they have relocated elsewhere.
04:28And he's quite happy with the SIR process.
04:30And I think, you know, at a time like this, it's important to have some honesty floating around.
04:36Sanjay Ji was quoting the Supreme Court.
04:38But, you know, again, from the Supreme Court, whatever information comes out
04:42or even if you are looking at the...
04:45I'm so sorry, Gaurav, there's something very wrong with my sound.
04:49Can you help me with fixing this echo?
04:51No, your sound is absolutely fine. Just complete your point, Chauru Pragya.
04:54Because I quickly want to bring in Aarti Jairat.
04:56But as we fix that sound, Aarti Jairat is Satish Jarkioli's statement.
05:00Virtually a hit wicket for the Congress ahead of a very important meeting in Delhi.
05:06But it may be the truth that is actually hurting the Congress.
05:09That Congress campaign that started from Karnataka on vote chauri.
05:12Now a Congress minister says the process is well executed.
05:16First you had Kerala leaders saying it of Congress, now Karnataka leaders.
05:20So what soul of India is the Congress talking about?
05:26So, Gaurav, I think we're mixing up a lot of issues here.
05:30Firstly, just a quick correction.
05:33The vote chauri narrative started with Maharashtra.
05:36Karnataka came later.
05:37It actually began with that big article in the Indian Express that Rahul Gandhi printed
05:42or got printed in the Indian Express on Maharashtra.
05:47Secondly, it's possible that SIR...
05:48His big attack started from one constituency, Aarti Jairat.
05:51It's possible that SIR...
05:52From one constituency, Mahadev Pura in Karnataka in 2025.
05:56That is where he led the campaign on vote chauri.
05:59But go ahead.
06:00No, no, no, no.
06:01You've forgotten the Maharashtra article.
06:03Okay.
06:03Anyway, that's a minor point.
06:06The point that what I'm saying is that it is possible that SIR was done properly in some
06:11places, not done properly in some states.
06:14I think the most glaring example of, you know, manipulation or mistakes or error, whatever
06:23you want to call them, is West Bengal.
06:26And, you know, and it's really amazing.
06:30This Charu Pragya says 13 crores is a false figure.
06:33It's a figure that has been released by the Election Commission.
06:36No, she didn't say it's a false figure.
06:38She gave a breakdown of that figure.
06:40She gave a breakdown of figure of how many are dead, how many have moved.
06:43I'm really surprised that she has the breakup of how many of them are dead, how many of
06:48them have shifted because the Election Commission has not yet released...
06:51You may like to cross-check your facts on that.
06:53You may like to cross-check your facts on that.
06:56We will give you the breakup because it has been given out by the Election Commission.
07:00You may like to cross-check your facts.
07:01I have not seen it.
07:02Okay.
07:02I have not seen it.
07:03It has come from BJP spokespersons.
07:07So, and the figure has come from the BJP itself, from the Election Commission itself.
07:12Okay.
07:12Now, I think it is important to juxtapose what we're talking about, what Jarkiyoli has said
07:18in Karnataka about Karnataka with what the Supreme Court said yesterday.
07:23And they were hearing a petition on Delhi, you know, filed by Anthony Bhardwaj and Prashant
07:28Bhushan.
07:29And the Supreme Court passed, of course, these are only observations.
07:32It is not a judgment.
07:33Correct.
07:33And we've seen in the past that Supreme Court's observations do not necessarily translate into judgment.
07:39So, I will put that caveat in.
07:41But the Supreme Court's observations were very stringent.
07:45Because, you know, the same bench that told the voters of West Bengal, if you can't vote in this election,
07:53you can vote in the next one.
07:55Okay.
07:55He's now talking about the constitutional right to vote.
07:59Oh, absolutely.
08:00But like you rightly pointed out, those are observations.
08:02And my producers will just put out that those details, those details of the Election Commission giving the break up,
08:09Aarti Jairat, of those 13 crore.
08:11Okay.
08:11And I may be wrong.
08:12Okay.
08:13But, but, but, Mohamed Ameen, Mohamed Ameen, okay, okay, Charu Pragya, you wanted to complete your point.
08:18Go ahead.
08:18Yes, I did.
08:19And I think Aarti Ji is a bit confused on the information because all of the information that I'm quoting
08:24is out in the public domain, ma'am.
08:26If you want, we can go over it again.
08:28So, the exact break up of 13 crore deletions has been given.
08:33And moving on from there, we cannot be looking at the comments of the Supreme Court in isolation.
08:37We cannot be picking a comment of the Supreme Court or an observation that suits us and neglect the others.
08:42Because very recently, also, there has been an affidavit that has been filed where it's also been said that all
08:48SIR decisions were taken unanimously.
08:52Moving on.
08:52And furthermore, the problem of the opposition is that whether an election is conducted using the EVM or it is
08:59conducting using ballot papers or it is conducted in a student union election in Delhi, the Dusu elections, the opposition
09:06is losing.
09:07Congress is still getting zero seats, whichever way you look at it.
09:10So, at the end of the day, the mood of the nation is reflected not merely in electoral results in
09:16the state, it is also reflected in the MLC elections and it is also reflected in Dusu elections.
09:21So, you know, for a moment, for a moment, no, Aarti Jairat, Aarti Jairat, on India today, we are on
09:29facts.
09:29Aarti Jairat, I want all our viewers, on India today, we are on facts.
09:34The 13 crore figure has to be explained.
09:379.5 crore, absent, shifted.
09:422.7 crore, deleted due to death.
09:461.01 crore, flagged for multiple entries.
09:51Source, Election Commission of India.
09:54Mohamed Ameen, is vote chori possible in India?
09:59I want to understand from you, because you worked in the Election Commission, will the BLAs of various political parties
10:05permit genuine voters to be cut off from that final list?
10:10Or is there merit in the Congress saying, Election Commission is selectively deleting names to help the BJP?
10:17The Congress Party indicates that Muslim names are being deleted.
10:23Gauru, the motto of the Election Commission is to every countryman has been given the franchise right, as per the
10:32Constitution says.
10:33You are listening about the 13 crore votes, and in that, they blame.
10:39Opposition party, they have deleted the Muslim voters.
10:42But this is not correct.
10:44I am telling you, they have given the already 13 crore breakup.
10:49The 280 is a died, and 6 and 7 crore are the shifted.
10:53And the rest of these, they have given already breakup to other fellows.
10:58So, in this connection, I can say, in case of the Karnataka, there is wrong blame to the Election Commission,
11:06as our CEO has already explained about that.
11:08If you can find it in the Kerala, there is Chalamish Chanitala, you are mentioning that, that he has said
11:13that a lot of the bogus vote is done by the, at the time of the left parties.
11:18So, that's why they are in the power now.
11:20And same thing happened in the Telangana also.
11:22Telangana Chief Minister also said at that time.
11:25So, where they get, everything is okay, that is good for them.
11:29If we are doing it legally, so that is the wrong with them.
11:32Okay, Sanjay Jha wants to respond, Sanjay Jha wants to respond, but Sanjay Jha, while you respond to this.
11:38I can mention you, Saman.
11:39Sure.
11:39I mentioned you the Goa.
11:41Sure, but Sanjay Jha, Sanjay Jha, the Congress party is organizing a mock parliament at Congress President Malikarjun Khargay's residence
11:49for a mock impeachment of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
11:53Sir, who is making a mockery of the system?
11:56Your own ministers, your own leaders are giving a thumbs up to the SIR process.
12:02You know, Mohamed Ameen mentioned Ramesh Chanitala in Kerala.
12:05He said SIR was helpful because CPIM in Kerala used to provide bogus votes, sir.
12:12Gaurav, if you give me uninterrupted time in bullet points without taking time, I will actually rebut all the gibberish
12:18I am hearing from a couple of people on your panel.
12:20Point number one, the one who is making a mockery of India's democracy, who is making a mockery of India's
12:26elections, is the Chief Election Commissioner and the Modi government.
12:30Why is the Modi government defending an independent constitutional body as if it is a legal counsel for the Election
12:36Commission?
12:36Why?
12:37What is this big?
12:38Yeh Rista kya kya alaka hai?
12:40Is that your best chance, sir?
12:42I said, if you give me uninterrupted time, I'm giving you bullet points.
12:46If you look at the call, we were told by the Election Commission and by the Modi government about infiltrators
12:53is one of the big reasons behind SIR.
12:56Guess how many foreigners have been identified so far?
12:591,600.
13:01What a joke have they made of the SIR using infiltrators as a ruse.
13:06Point number three, until they were forced to declare by the Supreme Court.
13:10The Election Commission in Bihar refused to make the public declaration of the 65 black voters in Bihar who were
13:18put under the doubters list.
13:19Point number four, look at West Bengal.
13:22The people who were deleted when they filed their appeals, 91% were deemed eligible to vote.
13:28So you can imagine how many millions have been disenfranchised in West Bengal.
13:33As a journalist, I do not imagine.
13:36As a journalist, I go by facts on ground and I wait for the verdict of the Supreme Court, sir.
13:42But respond, Charu Pragya, on merits and on facts.
13:46Because the vote-chori narrative, the Congress is convinced it's gaining ground.
13:50And that is why even BJP Tobras had to come down on ground to do a padhyatra to counter the
13:55narrative.
13:56But respond to Sanjay Jha on facts.
13:59You know, Gaurav, since you've used the word narrative, I think that's the correct one.
14:03Because something similar was done for the CA as well.
14:06In the end, everybody has admitted that CA had nothing to do with Indian citizens, Muslims, Hindus or otherwise.
14:12The same thing in Bihar and West Bengal was attempted by the opposition.
14:17You know, Rahul Gandhi just holds on to a word and walks around with it till the country rejects him
14:22repeatedly multiple times.
14:23So, because Sanjay Jha used the example of Bihar, let me also go on to tell you that after the
14:30SIR process, there was a time given by the Election Commission to file objections.
14:34Every single political party had this space, this sufficient time of over a month nearly, where they could have moved
14:41the court and done the needful.
14:43You know, Congress had close to 18,000 BLAs on the ground.
14:48RZD had 48,000 BLAs on the ground.
14:51But you know how many claims were filed by the Congress Party in the state of Bihar today.
14:56It is all well and good to cry, vote chori.
14:58But when it came to taking action, zero claims were filed.
15:02Gaurav, a quick one.
15:02And facts speak louder than the kind of rhetoric Congress wants to spread around.
15:08So, before I bring in R.T. Jairath, Sanjay Jha wants to quickly revert you on facts.
15:12Respond, sir.
15:13For the viewers of India today, the job of the Election Commission is to make sure that people who are
15:18eligible to vote should be voting.
15:20Look at the example of West Bengal.
15:22The judicial officers said that X number of voters are eligible to vote.
15:27Guess who's protesting against it?
15:29The Election Commission.
15:30Election Commission is protesting against those electors who have been now reinstated by the judicial officers.
15:37The EC is complaining against it.
15:39This is a sham.
15:40Respond, Mr. Mohammed Amin, you must respond to this.
15:43Because if eligible voters are not being permitted to vote, then it defeats the entire purpose, sir.
15:49Why is the Election Commission complaining?
15:53Actually, they are having their own agenda to defame the Election Commission of India.
15:59Actually, the Election Commission of India is doing, as per the guidelines of the Constitution, Article 324-5-26, confirmed
16:11by the President of the CGI.
16:14Sir, you're lying on Form 6 to the Supreme Court.
16:17Your affidavit is not a legitimate affidavit.
16:20It is a fake affidavit.
16:22Sir, I'm sorry.
16:23Sir, no kangaroo court will decide whether that affidavit is fake or real.
16:27Courts of law will decide whether it's a real or a fake one, sir.
16:31Let's be very clear.
16:33Sir, if there is a contradiction, courts of law in India will decide.
16:36And that aspect has to be clear to all.
16:39You know, otherwise, if facts don't come out in public domain, it leads to a lot of confusion.
16:45If it is a fake affidavit, if the Election Commission has committed perjury,
16:50it is for the Supreme Court to go after the Chief Election Commissioner.
16:54You know, all guns blazing, if there is perjury.
16:57But no street will decide through a protest that CEC will be removed, sir.
17:02That is not how India functions.
17:03That is not how a vibrant democracy functions, sir.
17:07It happens through elections or courts of law.
17:10Aarti Jairat, Rahul Gandhi started attacking the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar.
17:15Is that now backfiring?
17:17Because Gyanesh Kumar entered the Election Commission only in 2024,
17:21as EC became CEC in 2025.
17:24SIR process started in 2025.
17:27The BJP points out, Congress has been out of power
17:31in states like Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh for four decades,
17:35Tamil Nadu for six decades.
17:37Of course, not being part of the alliance with the TVK right now,
17:39but that's a separate story.
17:40But Tripura, no CM for over three decades,
17:43long before Gyanesh Kumar came anywhere close to the Election Commission, ma'am.
17:49Can I just also remind you that who raised the EVMs are tamperable and have been tampered with?
17:58Which party was it that raised it?
17:59Ma'am, that's a separate debate.
18:01Ma'am, I've asked you a very pointed question on Gyanesh Kumar and the attack on Gyanesh Kumar.
18:06I just want to point out to you that when a party is in the opposition,
18:12it says one thing.
18:13When the party is in government, it says the opposite.
18:16And that is where journalists like you and I sift facts from fiction.
18:20And this is true of the Congress as well.
18:22So both sides are guilty of the same crime.
18:26Now, the point is, you may think that Rahul Gandhi is conducting some kind of a kangaroo court.
18:31No, I don't think that.
18:32I'm asking a question.
18:33I don't think anything.
18:34I don't think democracy.
18:35This is democracy.
18:37Everybody is allowed to dissent.
18:39They may have their methods of dissent.
18:41They may, you know, you may think that impeachment, that mock trial is wrong.
18:46But the Congress has the right to do it.
18:48It is there.
18:49It is a democracy.
18:51But an impeachment has to happen in Parliament.
18:53If that man is wrong, impeach him in Parliament.
18:57As long as there is no violence, right?
19:00They are planning to introduce an impeachment motion in Parliament.
19:03That's different.
19:05This is different.
19:05This is politics.
19:06And I think that we have to understand that this is what happens in politics.
19:10The BJP did it when they were in opposition.
19:13The Congress is doing it now when it's in opposition.
19:15So, I don't think that's why we're getting so hit up about it.
19:18Because in this part of the democratic process, the right to dissent, in whatever manner you do, as long as
19:27you're not burning buses, as long as you're not creating violence and killing people, you know, it's fine, right?
19:35Peaceful process protests are wrong.
19:37Absolutely. As long as it's peaceful.
19:39As long as it's in a designated area.
19:41We're on the market.
19:42Okay, Sanjay Jha wants to come in.
19:44Sanjay Jha wants to come in.
19:44And you know, the thing is, Gaurav…
19:46Sanjay Jha, first Sanjay Jha and then Charupragya.
19:48First Sanjay Jha.
19:49Gaurav, Gaurav, Gaurav, I want to say this again and I'll repeat it again and again.
19:53The opposition, Rahul Gandhi, whether it's a CJP, whether it's Neha Bora's team, whether whoever it is, we are all
20:00protesting peacefully.
20:01Nobody's talking about violence.
20:03Nobody's talking about going out there and indulging in arson.
20:07In fact, if we saw any aggression, if we saw any aggression, it came from the police forces in Delhi.
20:12And we saw AK-47 in Bihar.
20:14We saw how pellets were used against students and very ordinary protesters.
20:19Even the Supreme Court had to tell the government, will you respect the fact that in a democracy, people have
20:25a right to protest.
20:26Come on.
20:27Can you challenge the Supreme Court?
20:29Okay.
20:30So, Sanjay Jha, you made your point.
20:31Now, Charupragya, respond, ma'am.
20:33Sure.
20:33See, in legal opinion, Gaurav, when somebody signs an undertaking and you go back on that, you break barricades, you
20:41enter denotified protest site,
20:43you obstruct police from carrying out their duty.
20:45And then you turn around and pretend that action is taken against you or detention has happened only because you
20:50held the tiranga in your hand.
20:52I think it is misleading the people of this country.
20:55If Sanjay Jha wants to say today that everybody wanted a peaceful protest, let me also remind them that on
20:59the left and right of Raul Gandhi is a Neha Bora who is immensely inspired by Bangladesh,
21:04where over 1,500 Bangladeshi citizens were murdered in cold blood.
21:09And that's the word I'm using.
21:10And on the other side is Prashant Kishore who says,
21:12Now, the food is bad.
21:20Prashant Kishore has been unapologetic about it.
21:28He has tallied it again.
21:30Congress leaders have also not stepped away from it.
21:32If you had so much of a problem with what these two were saying and this is actually asking for
21:37regime change through the barrel of a gun, not the ballot,
21:40you would have disassociated with these, not made them into the poster boy and poster girl of this particular protest.
21:46And it's so easy to say…
21:48I think Jhaerath both disagree with you, but I have to quickly bring in Mohamed Ameen into this conversation.
21:52And I want both Aarti and Sanjay to respond.
21:54But Mohamed Ameen, should the CEC or the Election Commission be worried by a mock parliament or mock impeachment of
22:01Gyanesh Kumar?
22:02This is democracy.
22:03This is dissent.
22:04Aarti Jhaerath says, as long as it's peaceful, no problem.
22:09Amand, it's not possible.
22:11Actually, they don't have the number of the games.
22:14That's why they have gone on the streets for them.
22:16Otherwise, they can come to the parliament and they can prevent the impeachment.
22:21That is the process only.
22:23Supreme Court cannot do it.
22:24He cannot remove the Chief Election Commissioner.
22:27That is the only agenda is there, to remove the Chief Election Commissioner.
22:31But he's honestly working for the country and everything in the eyes of the law.
22:36So, he's honestly working, everything in the eyes of the law.
22:39And he has already submitted all the replies to the Supreme Court of India.
22:44And of course, now courts will decide.
22:47Absolutely.
22:48When there is a dispute between two people, Aarti Jhaerath.
22:50When there is a dispute between two sides.
22:53You know, ultimately we go to courts of law.
22:56But is there a deliberate attempt to create ill will, either towards constitutional bodies like the Election Commission, or even
23:06in one case.
23:07Now, since that tweet has been deleted, I do not want to name the party or the state from where
23:13that tweet came.
23:13But it tried to create ill will towards the Chief Justice of India.
23:17Completely unacceptable, isn't it, ma'am?
23:19Perhaps that's why they deleted it.
23:22But, as I said, in a democracy, dissent is allowed.
23:26And this Charu Pragya is completely off the mark.
23:29I mean, two people went to Jantar Mantar after it was denotified with the flag.
23:34They did not burn anything.
23:36They did not loot anything.
23:38They did not vandalize anything.
23:40It was perfectly peaceful.
23:42And they were picked up by the police and detained.
23:44So, I mean, that's what happens in democracy.
23:47Charu Pragya, read your own history of your own party.
23:51Remember the number of times they used to smash buses, vandalize cars, set buses on fire.
23:57You forgot, oh, maybe you were too young and you don't know about it.
24:01But the fact is that every political party has done this in the past, do it today.
24:07But, but, but, but, it is a process of dissent in a democracy.
24:12I absolutely and completely disagree with you.
24:15You cannot be signing an undertaking saying that you're not going to be participating in a protest
24:19and then do a about turn the minute the police walk out.
24:23You cannot be signing bonds and break them.
24:26And that's exactly why CGP has done a complete U-turn on its stand on these protests.
24:32You would do well to remember that.
24:33If they were in the right, they wouldn't have done a U-turn on the protest.
24:36Secondly, ma'am, it was not just breaching barricades.
24:39It was also not just stopping the police from carrying out their duty.
24:44It was willful defiance after giving the undertaking.
24:47And on top of that, trying to turn the narrative into one where it was shown.
24:51Or they tried to show that detention happened for holding a tiramka when it is so far from the truth.
24:57Okay, got it.
24:59Aarti ma'am, I'm respectful of your race, but I'm not going to allow you to browbeat me here.
25:04I'm respectful of your race, but that doesn't mean that you can tell me.
25:07And if something wrong might have happened in the history of this country,
25:10it means, yes, yes, let's welcome it again and let's do it all over again.
25:14Is that what you're saying?
25:17No, no, no, this is terrible and it's a complete non-argument.
25:20It's a complete non-argument.
25:24I don't need to remember anything.
25:25Here we are, here you are rather trying to promote a protest with God's round by the young of this
25:33country.
25:33God, this is not anarchy.
25:34Gaurav, this is terrible.
25:36Please understand.
25:36This is terrible.
25:37One by one.
25:39One by one.
25:40One by one.
25:40I cannot believe that she is stooping to this country.
25:42No, no, no, no.
25:43One by one.
25:43So, democracy, you know, dissent is a right and everybody has a right to dissent.
25:50But dissent also cannot end up vandalizing public property or, you know, there has to be limits to dissent that
25:57it does not obstruct the other person from carrying out his duties.
26:01Please, you know, it's time, it's time, I think now the moon is up for all those who are following
26:08Karvachot ritual, you know, they would want to, you know, now go see the moon and perhaps break their fast.
26:15And on that note, I want to thank all our guests.
26:17I wish you all a great Karvachot and a great time ahead.
26:21Thank you so much for joining me.
26:23This, of course, is a debate that we will continue to track very, very closely in the days and weeks
26:29ahead.
26:30Because it's only set to intensify.
