00:05The Artificial Intelligence Lab filed a 335-page IPO, or Initial Public Offering, document
00:10on Monday, setting the stage for a Wall Street debut next month ahead of its chief rival,
00:15OpenAI.
00:15But some of the details they've revealed have raised alarm bells.
00:18Anthropic's lists of risks include authoritarian governments using their AI to crack down on
00:23citizens, terrorists using AI to build biological or chemical weapons to kill us, and the potential
00:28existential threat posed to humanity by bad actors.
00:31The move comes just months after Elon Musk's IPO for SpaceX raised $86 billion in June.
00:36But Anthropic could surpass this.
00:38If the IPO comes off, the company could be valued at as much as $2 trillion.
