00:00They worked over seven days, about 40 hours, to reach a unanimous verdict and couldn't,
00:06it appears, because of a lone holdout juror who was determined to see Lindsey Clancy convicted
00:13of what we're not sure. First degree, second degree murder, manslaughter. The judge did not
00:18say and neither did the note from the foreperson indicating the juror was a holdout.
00:23At this point, I'm going to declare that the jury is deadlocked and I'm going to declare
00:29a mistrial. Kevin Reddington is going to be filing a motion to reconsider. You all gave
00:34everything you could and probably more than you thought you could. There was a tense hush

00:52days of deadlock. The judge declined. The jury came in. The judge said he was going to declare a
00:59mistrial. I watched every day, day after day, week after week, all of you performing that duty that
01:10you braced for. And I just kind of wanted to let you know I understood how hard everybody worked in
01:16this case. One juror put her head in her hands, appearing upset. Other jurors looked frustrated.
01:22Some simply looked defeated.
