00:00I heard from your people that you refused to come until you were voted sexiest man.
00:06You said I will only be on this pod if people...
00:09I need something legitimate to talk about.
00:11Congratulations.
00:13Thank you. I think that one goes to my mother and my father, but yeah, thank you.
00:17But I can almost remember chronologically the ones that came out during my formative year.
00:22Paging Dr. Robbie, we need 100 cc's of sexy. Stat!
00:27The Pit's hunky doc Noah Wiley was just named People Magazine's sexiest man alive.
00:32Day one of his reign, he stopped by Good Hang with Amy Poehler.
00:36The 55-year-old actor told People Magazine that it sounded like a prank at first
00:40and joked that his family will tease him about the honor for the next 50 years.
00:45I am going to take a lot of ribbing, he said, for sure.
00:48And speaking of teasing last month at the Emmys, where he won his fourth trophy for the role,
00:53Wiley teased what fans can expect from season three of The Pit, which is due on HBO Max in three
00:59months.
01:00John, Scott, and Noah, I cannot think of a better way to celebrate this win than by
01:05teasing us what you guys have been working on for season three.
01:10Noah?
01:13I can tell you that we're going to be back tomorrow morning, hitting it hard with a very dramatic
01:17storyline. Tomorrow we are midway through our season, midway through episode eight and 15.
01:24The episodes are certainly not great, I watched episodes four and five today.
01:27The five of Sean directed and the four of the Boots directed, they're both wonderful.
01:31Thank you for being here for a really great season.
01:33Yeah, we took everyone on a really amazing journey this year and they all brought the way to game by
01:39tonight.
01:42Congratulations.
01:46Noah, you've experienced, oh, sorry.
01:49You've experienced a major success at two very different stages of your life.
01:56Are you able to appreciate it and enjoy it more now than you did during the height of ER?
02:04Definitely, definitely. That was such a wonderful sort of heady time, but I was on my back foot through
02:10most of it and it was only after that experience had come and gone that I really wish that I
02:15had made
02:15more of it and enjoyed it and taken more deep breaths. And I promised myself that if it ever happened
02:20again, if Lightning was ever going to strike again, that I would really take time to smell the roses.
02:24This has been, this has been, this has been amazing.
02:26You were a baby.
02:28Oh, come on.
02:29He did the best he could.
02:33Hello, Virginia Academy Foundation. Congratulations, everyone.
02:37Noah, what qualities do you think matter for someone who wants to have a long career in this industry?
02:46That's a great question. My wife and I were just talking about this the other day.
02:49We try to teach our kids that it's not about winning or losing, it's about being asked to play again.
02:54Because if you play in the game again, you have more chances of winning over the long term.
02:58So you can lose and never get asked to play again. You can win and never get asked to play
03:03again.
03:03But if you can figure out how to win or lose in a way that makes people want to invite
03:06you back
03:06to the game, then that's a pretty good recipe for success.
03:09So, that's not a big, like, in the game.
03:09You say it's not a good one.
03:09It's a great one.
03:10It involves a big game.
03:10It's a great one.
