00:00NBA season can go up and down. I sometimes don't get why people, it's never going to just be that
00:06smooth, especially coming after a championship and a celebration around it that was unlike any
00:10other, just because it was the Knicks. Players have talked about it, like you've been receiving
00:14kudos all summer and pats on the back and everything else. It's hard to come back and
00:19start with the Thibodeau era, even though he changed the culture, the series that the Knicks
00:24won, a lot of those series were series where you weren't favored. So you had the underdog sort of
00:29label. You had that underdog mentality. Now you're not the underdog anymore. You are living
00:35at Central Park. You know what I'm saying? Like you ain't slumming it no more. You in the penthouse
00:39now. I wonder how difficult it's going to be to master up and get all that extra motivation
00:47when, I've heard this from champions all the time, you are playing 82 playoff games in a regular season.
00:54There is no just a regular game for those guys on the other side. It's their chance to say we
01:01knocked off the champs. And we've seen it happen with Golden State when they won. Oklahoma City last
01:07year, even though Oklahoma City had this great regular season, they took everybody's best shot.
01:12And by the time the conference finals came along, they were so fatigued and worn out. And then they
01:17ran up against a team that had their number and everything else. This is what this NBA's
01:22era is. No team is that much greater than its competition anymore.
