00:52To save Ryan's life, Captain Mitchell was forced to make a deal with Diabolico, allowing the demon to take his

01:00He didn't see his son again until his 20th birthday, when Ryan was convinced that his father abandoned him and

01:10It was the most difficult decision of Captain Mitchell's life, but only when Ryan faced and accepted the truth could

01:38Two years before the season, Andros' best friend was Zane, the Silver Ranger.
01:44Zane was the only one who could cheer Andros up.
01:47His name is Zane. He's my best friend.
01:50But one day, tragedy struck during an attack on their planet, KO-35.
01:55Andros was being overwhelmed by a monster, only for Zane to run in to protect his friend, and was mortally

02:03To save his life, Andros had Zane cryogenically frozen so the machine could hopefully heal him.
02:09Thankfully, his efforts were not in vain, as Zane would awaken from his sleep stronger than ever.
02:15However, his story is a grim reminder that being a Power Ranger is serious business, and not everyone makes it
02:22out alive.

02:28Number 28. Billy's Death, Saban's Power Rangers.
02:33I'm going to kill you. One by one, until you tell me, where is my crystal?
02:42We don't know.
02:44No, Red. You don't know. But guess what? One of you does!
02:50In the 2017 Power Rangers movie, Rita ambushes the Rangers at the docks, and easily overpowers them.
02:58She threatens to kill them one by one if they don't tell her where the Zeo crystal is.
03:03To save his friends, Billy tells her where the crystal is, and is rewarded by being sent deep into the
03:10water.
03:10Zordon would lose all respect for me if I don't kill you. At least one of you.

03:22By the time the Rangers get him out, it's already too late.
03:25The loyalist, most pure-hearted member of the team has drowned to death.
03:30He made the biggest sacrifice of all to protect his loved ones.
03:33But Zordon makes his own personal sacrifice to revive the hero who deserves it the most.
03:40Number 27. Dr. K's Horrible Birthday.
03:43Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2018 Annual.
03:47Given her tragic past, it's understandable why Dr. K doesn't care for birthday parties.
03:53Needless to say, she's less than pleased when her Ranger operators surprise her with a birthday cake.
03:58More so when she's visited by an uninvited guest, Lord Drakken, Tommy's evil counterpart from another dimension.
04:06Drakken uses psychological tactics to try and convince Dr. K to join his crusade,
04:11only to be met with the business end of her blaster.
04:14It turns out this wasn't the real Drakken, but a droid he was communicating through.
04:19While Drakken failed, it's clear that he still affected her,
04:23as she reluctantly eats the Ranger's cake with tears in her eyes.
04:27Number 26. The End of the Wild Zords.
04:31Power Rangers Wild Force.
04:33Think watching the Ranger's Zords get destroyed is stomach-churning enough?
04:37What if they were living, sentient beings?
04:40Unfortunately, this is the case for the Wild Zords in the season finale of Wild Force.
04:46Master Org has achieved his most powerful form,
04:49and uses his newfound might to poach the Zords one by one.
04:53While the Zords fight valiantly, it's all in vain as they meet their end.
04:58And with the five main Wild Zords extinguished, so are the Ranger's powers.
05:03And it seems like nothing can stand against the monstrous tyrant.
05:07Your Wild Zords are finally extinct, and soon you and the whole human race will be gone as well!
05:14Fortunately, the Ranger's fighting spirit is too fierce to be kept down,
05:19and the Wild Zords are revived to end Master Org's terror for good.
05:25Number 25. Max an Android. Power Rangers Operation Overdrive.
05:31This was one of the most unexpected plot twists in Power Rangers history,
05:35and also one of the bleakest.
05:37One fateful day, both Mac and the audience make an unsettling discovery.
05:42Mac isn't human, but an android.
05:45Mac?
05:48You're an android.
05:50Mr. Hartford built him two years before the season began,
05:54and implanted false memories into Mac's brain,
05:57wanting him to experience life as a normal teen.
06:00But I remember my childhood.
06:03I remember the schools I went to, the things I did.
06:06I remember breaking my arm when I was five,
06:09going camping with you guys when I was nine,
06:10and the fish I caught.
06:12Those were all memories I gave you.
06:14I wanted you to be like every other kid.

06:20We're not sure which is harder for Mac to swallow,
06:23that he's really a machine,
06:24or that he's been living a lie for his whole life.
06:27Regardless, he proved himself to be just as human as his teammates,
06:31right down to the heartache he felt as he struggled to accept all this.

06:37Rita's Punishment.
06:39Go, go, Power Rangers.
06:40We all know Rita and her goons spent 10,000 years locked in a space dumpster,
06:45but have you ever wondered what went on inside their prison?
06:48The Boom Studios comics gave us a bleak look inside
06:52by showing that the dumpster is actually a rehabilitation center
06:55that forces its prisoners into reality-altered scenarios.
06:59These sessions uncover a desire for Rita to have an actual loving family.
07:04So for her punishment,
07:06she's forced to experience the lives of all of her victims
07:08and relive the trauma she forced onto them through their eyes.
07:12What's worse is that this treatment clearly didn't work,
07:15since by the time Rita escapes the dumpster,
07:18she decides to make Earth suffer for the traumas she experienced.

07:23The Command Center Falls.
07:25Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers.
07:27It's the end of an era.
07:30Mighty Morphin has reached its conclusion in the darkest way possible.

07:41Rangers, you must evacuate the Command Center.
07:44For starters, Goldar and Rito steal the Zeo Crystal,
07:48the Rangers' last hope for regaining their powers.
07:51After that, a bomb planted under the Command Center detonates.

09:51who doesn't want to hurt anyone.
09:53He was arrested for petty theft,
09:55and it was only to survive in a world full of prejudice
09:58against his kind.

10:06He only ends up fighting the Rangers
10:08after being forcibly controlled to do so,
10:10and all he really wants
10:11is to go back to being imprisoned for his own safety.

10:43at the cost of their zords and weapons.

11:23but to end it in such a hopeless scenario
11:25is pretty shocking.
11:27And yet,
11:27it warmed our hearts to see
11:28that the Rangers didn't give up

24:53K will have to live with the pain knowing she doomed the world,
24:56now doing whatever she can to make amends for her mistake.
