00:01A fresh push to end the war in Ukraine with a new round of trilateral talks planned for Abu Dhabi
00:07in November.
00:09Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says discussions involving Russia, Ukraine and the United States are expected to take place in the
00:16first half of November, potentially around November 10th.
00:20The announcement follows a flurry of diplomatic activity by President Donald Trump's administration.
00:25US envoy Steve Rutkov met Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and European leaders in Oslo before travelling to St. Petersburg for
00:33talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
00:36Following those meetings, both Moscow and Kyiv signalled they were ready to return to direct negotiations, but major obstacles remain.
00:45Putin says the talks should focus on security guarantees under a final peace agreement, not simply a short-term ceasefire.
00:52As the war enters its fifth year, the question remains, can the new diplomacy finally deliver a lasting peace, or
01:00will deep divisions do well negotiations once again?
01:03Amen.
