00:06this this this trouble with like things like DistroKid or like certain companies that it's like they get bought up
00:11or they get they get, you know, private equity.
00:14And now you're just kind of like I feel like the I will say as an artist, whether you're major
00:19or independent, the world seems to be kind of closing in on you a little bit between A.I. and
00:25like private equity and majors and like conglomerates and kind of monopolies when it comes to touring.
00:30And it just is all like I think it's more important now than ever to really, really care and build
00:35your community and really like go directly to them.
00:38Yeah. I'm lucky for me. Like I have built such a like close knit family with my fan base.
00:44But if I didn't have that, I don't even know that I would still be doing this.
00:48Like I really just that's so true with the music industry. It's shrinking and shrinking because you even see it
00:52in like food and stores like so many of like my favorite restaurants or things are like getting like bought
00:57up by like venture capitalists.
00:58And then all I'm like now the food tastes bad and you have to close anyway. I'm like, what happened
01:02here?
01:02Like they sell it for parts. Yeah. Yeah. That really is what it is. Yeah.
01:06And that's what that is what what what unfortunately has also been happening to independent artists is like there are
01:11certain ways we were distributing music or putting things out or whatever.
01:15And then the majors kind of just buy up those places. And now and now as an independent artist, you're
01:21competing with an independent framework with majors now.
01:25And now they're in your space, you know, and now you're just like, well, where do I go?
01:28So so I don't know, at this point, not to seem to like depressing about the situation, I kind of
01:34just go directly to the fans, you know, and that's why between lives and streaming and podcasting and like everything
01:40that I do is like I enjoy thoroughly.
01:43And I think my fans really enjoy. And that's all I could do. You know what I'm saying? Like, I
01:48feel like I'm doing pretty OK for myself.
