00:01I saw the awful announcing thing.
00:04They did the accessibility.
00:05Was it an accessibility ranking of all 30 NBA teams?
00:08Cavs finished 30th.
00:10A lot of people upset.
00:12The TV package, you can't get season pass or league pass
00:17because they black out the local games on league pass.
00:20Is that correct, Tone?
00:21Yes.
00:22Yeah, you can't just magically get all the games by paying $150
00:25or whatever league pass is.
00:26And apparently DAZN is more than what you're going to pay for league pass.
00:35And, you know, I have Amazon Prime.
00:37I got ESPN Plus.
00:39I have Peacock.
00:42You got 14, 15 games.
00:44Congratulations on all your success.
00:45Thank you very much.
00:46You got 14, 15 games that are going to be on national TV.
00:49NBC, Peacock, the whole deal.
00:51Yes, but that's not the national TV that we've grown accustomed to,
00:55meaning it's just on cable.
00:56I don't know.
00:56Those games are not on cable.
00:57You have to have had the subscription.
00:59I got to tell you, they got to figure out a way right now.
01:01They got to figure out a way to fix this and get this accessible to their fans.
01:05Yeah, because I think a lot of people are just not going to pay this.
01:08They're just not going to watch it.
01:09And it's bad for, to me, it's bad for the team.
01:12It's bad for the fan base.
01:14It's bad for what we do.
01:16How am I supposed to sit here and talk about the Cavs?
01:17Like, I got to pay it.
01:19I'll watch it.
01:21But how am I supposed to sit here and talk about the Cavs
01:22when nobody's going to watch them?
01:23Yeah, now, important to note, tonight's game is nationally televised, right?
01:28Okay.
01:28So after this, I'm down to 14 left.
01:31Out of 81 after this, I'll be down to 14 left.
01:35You've also got some that are going to be on 43.
01:40You do?
01:41Yeah.
01:42Okay.
01:43I'm saying Monday's game is on 43.
01:45Can I get to at least 14 or 15 or simulcast on Rock Entertainment or Channel 43, their family
01:51and networks?
01:52Can you meet me at 41 games somewhere?
01:56Because it's like, hey, man, I know that not everybody's going to sit there and watch
02:00all 82.
02:01But damn, Anthony.
02:03Yeah, the Hawks just announced yesterday that all 82 are available on Amazon Prime, I think.
02:09So, you know, you have to jump through a few more hoops right now.
02:11I don't know.
02:12Maybe there's some more wheeling and dealing to go down as they're gauging the temperature
02:16of the fan reaction.
02:17But yesterday was not a good day for them.
02:19I mean, social media was crushing them up and down after awful announcing came out with
02:23that.
02:23It's really bad.
02:24Like, I know, like, we were going to talk about Brian Scalbrini yesterday and then everything
02:29took off because Brian Scalbrini was on ESPN.
02:31He said he doesn't even have the Cavs in their top six.
02:34A lot of people are...
02:35Like, take the temperature of the fan base.
02:37I think a lot of fans are just down on them.
02:39The way the season ended last year, they didn't get LeBron.
02:42And I...
02:43Listen, LeBron has probably two years left.
02:46He's going to be load management.
02:47I don't pick...
02:48I do not pick the Sixers to go to the finals this year.
02:51Can't say I pick us.
02:52I think the Cavs are a better basketball team than what we're going to give them credit
02:55for to start out this year.
02:56But I think that so many people are down on them.
03:00I don't know how much engagement you're going to get, man.
03:02I don't know how much.
03:04And it's an expensive roster.
03:06It should be a roster that we love.
03:08And, I mean, you're asking about, what, $119 for the year?
03:12Is it $119 for the basic package?
03:14Yes, to get every game that's on DAZN.
03:17Unless you're a full season.
03:19I guess people found out yesterday just being a...
03:21A quarter season ticket holder does not get you the full season on DAZN.
03:26So they were very discouraged.
03:29And you can hear it in our voices.
03:31This is bad.
03:32So this is something that the Guardians went through when they started their own TV network.
03:37Or, you know, the, you know...
03:39Guards TV.
03:40Guards TV.
03:41But they ended up, remember, it was like day of the opener.
03:45They ended up working out something with almost every cable provider and got them their own channel on cable.
03:52I'm not a cable guy.
03:53So this doesn't change the way that I was going to view the Cavs anyway.
03:57I still have to go pay for it.
03:59But you guys are cable guys, right?
04:01Yes, I am a cable boy.
04:02Yeah.
04:02I mean, you're still paying for cable.
04:06Yes.
04:06You're just upset that now you have to add another service to find them?
04:11Well, I'm still...
04:11Personally, I'm unclear whether or not I have to...
04:14I'm paying for the cable.
04:15Does that mean I still also have to pay for DAZN?
04:17Or is there a DAZN that it's already going to be on my cable?
04:20No.
04:20Right now, like, I have Spectrum.
04:22Spectrum does not have a deal with DAZN.
04:24Okay.
04:24Like they do with Hulu and some of the others.
04:27It's an old area.
04:29We're not very quick to take on new technology.
04:32We're not very quick to pay for new technology.
04:35I just don't think this is great for engagement with the fans.
04:38Well, it's surprising.
04:39It's obviously very surprising for as much as we have lauded, you know, ownership.
04:46And the one thing, like, they've spared no expense any step of the way.
04:50Even for teams that probably didn't have much of a chance to win a championship,
04:56despite what, you know, what we'd all try to fool ourselves into thinking every year
05:00because there's excitement and optimism every year,
05:02that they've spared no expense.
05:04And look at the building.
05:05Look at what they've done inside the building.
05:07Look at what they're doing down on the riverfront.
05:09Like, they have spared no expense on anything.
05:11And yet, this is the one where there seems to be some bean counting, unfortunately.
05:16But that's...
05:17And that...
05:17It's the accessibility to your fans.
05:19Like, the whole reason you go on TV or radio to do the broadcast is so you...
05:25Like, I know years ago, I'm not trying to give everybody a history lesson,
05:28but years ago, it was seen as, like, they did not want it on radio.
05:32They did not want it on TV because it felt like it was a reason you wouldn't go to the
05:35games.
05:36And now it's like, hey, you see it on TV.
05:38You want to go to the game.
05:39You want to be a part of that atmosphere.
05:40And you want to be engaged in it.
05:42And you get to see it.
05:43You get to feel it.
05:44You're more likely to buy merchandise.
05:45You're more likely to be involved in it.
05:47More likely to just pay for other things.
05:49And because I'm not being able to do it, it feels like it's behind a gate.
05:53And we've sat here and pounded it into people's heads for how long that the regular season doesn't matter.
06:00See, that's the thing of it.
06:02Is that the regular season in baseball does matter.
06:05You got to win a boatload of games.
06:07You can lose a boatload of games.
06:08You got to win a boatload of games just to get into the postseason.
06:10In the NBA, you've pounded it into everybody's heads where you've had to bring up this new NBA Cup thing
06:17just to make the regular season kind of, sort of, matter.
06:20And it's really for only the hardcore NBA fans who really get the NBA Cup or like the NBA Cup.
06:26So regular fans are just told all the time, if they're football fans first, which most of the country is,
06:31then they don't care about the regular season.
06:33And now you want me to pay $119 for the year to watch basketball that I might not even watch
06:39in the first place.
06:41Like, I'll watch it.
06:42I got to.
06:43And I'm a Cavs fan.
06:44But I think there's a lot of guys, the Marks and Brunswick's and the Rays and Euclid, they're like, no.
06:52I'm serious.
06:54Well, this all, obviously the loss of the regional model has forced 30 teams to scramble in different directions to
07:01try to figure they're sitting out.
07:02The Lakers are just on spectrum because that's their exclusive deal.
07:06I understand that.
07:06And it was a very, very expensive deal.
07:08Yes, it was.
07:08Very lucrative deal.
07:10But these other teams have all gone different directions.
07:13I wonder if this is the end of the conversation, though, because, like I said, the Hawks just cemented a
07:19deal yesterday.
07:20Well, unless you know something, I don't, I would, I hope that this is the end of the conversation.
07:24Because I think right now this really hurts the fan base in terms of interest in what's happening.
07:29Yes.
07:29And the major difference.
07:31So, like I said, cable cutter, I was paying for Bally to get the Bally app before.
07:36You guys were just getting the Bally's streamed on your TV, right, on your cable before.
07:42So you could see the Bally's games when they were on there the last two years or three years or
07:46whatever it was, Bally Sports.
07:49So, I guess just, if they provided it on a cable channel, would it change your outlook on this whole
07:56company?
07:56Yes, obviously, yes.
07:58Because to me, it hasn't changed any.
07:59But I've been a cord cutter.
08:01Well, and I understand a lot more people are cord cutters than, I understand I'm old on that.
08:05Especially in the last five years.
08:07But for me, and maybe there's more people than I think, maybe there's less people than I think.
08:13Well, I'm different.
08:15Lyman and I are dinosaurs in that case.
08:16Even with the cord cutting thing, I'm trying right now, I'm trying to get ChatGBT to give me a list
08:22of where can I see the game at?
08:25And it's just so all over the place on every night.
08:28I mean, there are six games in October between now and Halloween, and it's on four different things.
08:36I don't think it's great to have to go on some vision quest to try to go find the Cavs
08:42games.
08:42Because I remember doing this with the Guardians, like, what are you going to be on?
08:45Don't make me have to root hog to go find your baseball games.
08:48And it's not been that difficult.
08:50I know, like, the Yankees, there was, like, eight different plans or whatever they had to use.
08:54Listen, unfortunately, that's Ohio State football now.
08:56Ohio State football is on something different every single week, it seems.
09:00The first six games are ESPN, DAZN, Free Local, UAB, DAZN, On43, DAZN.
09:10But that's Ohio State football.
09:11There's a lot more people that are passionate about Ohio State football than Cavs basketball.
09:16Yeah, and the NFL has gone to this model, too, where, you know, people watch national games, but they're on
09:21somewhere different.
09:22And especially around the holidays, they're going to be on something different.
09:24I think this is really, really bad for the general fan.
09:27I think this is really bad for the general interest.
09:29I think this is really bad for, like, if you are a person who consumes Cavs first, I don't think
09:34it's going to affect you very much.
09:36But I do think that that's a minority of fans.
09:38I think that this is really, really bad, and I hope this changes, like, at the end of this sentence.
09:432-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92, are you just going to not watch Cavs games this year?
09:47I mean, basically, I have to come out and ask that.
09:49Ken Carman, Anthony Lima, 8-20, Mary Kay Cavill.
09:51The television deal nationally for the NBA is how much more than it used to be?
09:55Weren't we talking about how much more money the NBA team,
09:58and that means the teams and their share are making more money than they have ever made, right?
10:03Is it enough?
10:04Let me ask you this, Anthony.
10:06Is it enough to cover what you used to make on the local deal?
10:10Yes.
10:11Okay.
10:11Yes.
10:12And then some.
10:13See, this is my issue.
10:14Social media reactions on X are brought to you by...
10:16Shibin Jewelers, Cleveland's premier jewelry store.
10:18This wasn't on X, but this goes back to the last segment.
10:21I was looking at an email here, and this is from Steve.
10:23He says,
10:24Ken, TV fatigue is real.
10:26I'm tired of trying to figure out where my games are,
10:29and yes, I may miss more Cavs games this year due to it.
10:31You're spot on.
10:33That's part of it.
10:34If you really start to break down this entire scenario here,
10:39you're telling me I've got to pay $119 for what is, for a lot of people,
10:44it's a slow burn in the NBA.
10:46You're telling me I have to pay $119 for a product you told me over and over and over again
10:51doesn't matter.
10:51That's regular season NBA basketball.
10:54Okay?
10:55So we have spent the last decade plus watering the product down in the regular season.
11:01Now you're paying $119 for it.
11:02Okay, so now I don't want to pay $119 for it.
11:05All right, so where am I supposed to find my Cavs coverage?
11:08Well, I guess we talk about them on the fan, but again, if I can't see it,
11:11am I really going to have a lot of opinions on it?
11:13Am I going to really have more deep thoughts on it?
11:14Let me go further.
11:15You go to ESPN.com or anything like that, I guess I'll read the recap,
11:19except half of those are AI recaps, it seems.
11:21So are you really even getting the full scope of things?
11:23Okay, let me get the full scope of things.
11:25Let me go to the athletic.
11:26Well, I've got to pay a subscription fee to the athletic.
11:28So nothing gets the athletic.
11:29It's not much.
11:31We pay for the athletic.
11:33It's like, what, $1.99 a month?
11:34But I think you have a lot of people who are going,
11:36man, am I just going to get nickel and dimed over everything here?
11:39What?
11:39Yeah, this is the complaint we got from our –
11:41Like, this was advertisers.
11:43This used to be covered by advertisers.
11:44This was the complaint about the baseball model when it went to that.
11:48And then all of a sudden, what, games were on Apple TV.
11:51And some people, Guardians fans, were just skipping games.
11:53They were just like, well, I'm going to miss this one.
11:55And, you know, obviously we grew up with games on in the background.
11:58And I don't think you can put a price on how valuable that is to sports enterprises.
12:04The fact that you grow up – you're a kid.
12:08You're six years old.
12:08You're asking questions.
12:09What's this on TV?
12:10Well, now there's going to be a generation of kids that are not going to have the baseball and basketball
12:15just on in the background.
12:16It's just not going to be on.
12:17That's what I'm saying.
12:17And the problem with all this is, is like, I'll watch the games and I'll go, guys, Donovan Mitchell dropped
12:2245 last night.
12:23It was amazing.
12:24Kenny Carman can't sell Cavaliers basketball as good as Donovan Mitchell when you see him on television.
12:29It's just not going to happen.
12:31So if you can't get access to it, you're less likely to buy a ticket.
12:35You're less likely to buy a merchandise.
12:37You're less likely to be involved in the organization as it is.
12:40And then Owen comes in and hands me this sheet, which is the Cavaliers TV and streaming schedule.
12:47And this, honestly, guys, this looks like a call sheet.
12:50This looks like something Kevin Stefanski.
12:52Yes, this looks like something Kevin Stefanski stuck in front of his face and called from.
12:58Can they see that on YouTube right now?
13:00Oh, halfway through this game.
13:01Which, by the way, is free.
13:02It's going to be Tommy Reese calling the plays.
13:03This is free access.
13:05Free access to YouTube Live right now.
13:07Like, guys, I love the Cavs and they're good people over there.
13:11This has to change as soon as possible.
13:12They've got to do something.
13:13This is bad.
13:13You're 30th out of 30 teams in terms of accessibility.
13:17Can I ask a conspiratorial question?
13:19Is there a chance that they are operating under the thought that you just said something that was very interesting.
13:26You said if people don't have their games on TV, then they're not going to go to the game.
13:31Do they think the opposite?
13:33Do these NBA and MLB teams think the opposite?
13:35Is it that if you make it harder to watch on TV, that people will pay the experience fee of
13:42going and watching?
13:43Because we know there's no substitute for watching these things in person.
13:46Go to an NBA game and actually have a good seat.
13:49Yeah.
13:49I mean, it's unbelievable.
13:51It's true.
13:51So, is there a way that they might be thinking that, that there is such a push?
13:56Guys, you saw the World Series prices that we will never, unfortunately, get to experience.
14:01But for some people, hey, I guess you saved a lot of money.
14:04But those tickets to go to these games, do you see what Milwaukee fans are paying?
14:09Like, there is no substitute.
14:11They are, just like concert venues, are charging so much, but they're getting it.
14:17The concert venues are getting it.
14:19Well, you know, but that's part of the problem, is that the, are you talking about concert venues or arenas?
14:23I'm talking about everything.
14:24Okay, well, see, I have to disagree with you about some of the things, because you and I have talked
14:28about this on the air, about some acts.
14:31Oh, you know, we weren't, so-and-so hasn't been feeling good.
14:37We have to, they got vocal cord problems.
14:39They got to cancel their tour.
14:40No, they weren't selling it, because they're trying to sell out arenas.
14:43Because people aren't doing that as much anymore, because of the prices that are there.
14:46At the certain level, they are.
14:48For the elite of the elite.
14:50Right, well, does the NBA still think it is in that category?
14:53I think if they do, they're sadly mistaken, because you got a basketball team that's dynamite, and that people are
14:59down on right now.
15:02They won 50-plus games last year, 52 games.
15:05They won 62 years ago, and people talked trash about them.
15:08True, but they did, they did sell a bunch of tickets last year.
15:11I thank God.
15:12I'm glad.
15:13And you see what the prices are.
15:14So, is that part of the equation here, that these teams and these owners are trying to get you to
15:19pay?
15:20Because that's real money.
15:21I mean, we're talking about 100 and, how much money again, to get the DAZN subscription?
15:26119 a year.
15:26119?
15:27For the basic.
15:28It's really hard to go to one Cavs game and spend less than $119.
15:32It's impossible.
15:33So, if they can rope you into buying three, all right, well, they got their money.
15:38That's what I mean.
15:38It's surprising to me that they're not just giving this away.
15:42But I'm, I'm, again, like, I'm sorry to make this analogy.
15:51The first taste is always free, guys.
15:54I hate to go back to 13-year-old Kenny, but you give them the first taste for free.
16:00And then after that, you charge them.
16:02And that's what watching it on TV is.
16:05It's the taste for free.
16:06Come on over to the street corner.
16:08Here's a hit for free.
16:10Come back and see me in the morning.
16:11And that's the way it is.
16:13Because you see them on TV.
16:15You watch them.
16:16You see the dunks.
16:17You see the exciting play.
16:19You see the pregame.
16:20You see Ahmad get everybody excited.
16:22You see the fire go off.
16:25You're like, got to be there.
16:26Got to be there.
16:28I'll use pro wrestling as an example here.
16:31They did a TV show.
16:32They wouldn't even pay the wrestlers or they give them the very, very, very bare minimum.
16:35You know why?
16:36Because it sold the live event.
16:38If you didn't have TV, you couldn't sell the live event.
16:42I don't have TV or people aren't willing to pay for it because you've watered it down.
16:46You've told me this entire time throughout the history of us being, having careers in radio
16:50that this doesn't matter.
16:53We've talked about how the regular season doesn't matter.
16:55And now you want to turn around and charge people money to see something that you've told
16:58them doesn't matter.
16:59Well, the only reason I brought up that conspiracy is because we saw this in the NFL in the late
17:0480s.
17:04Now they reverse course.
17:06But in the late 80s, there'd be a Browns game that would not be on local television.
17:10Which seems to be absolutely asinine.
17:13From a different era.
17:14Quite literally, it's a different era.
17:15But the thought was, well, we are not going to make it available unless all the tickets
17:20are bought.
17:21And so there'd be a mad scramble, a push to sell tickets.
17:25They'd get it out to the news.
17:26Hey, not a sellout, not a sellout.
17:28Still don't have 80-some thousand at Municipal.
17:31And then eventually, they reverse course.
17:33You put them on free TV.
17:35I'll meet you halfway.
17:36Put them on free TV and say, we've got to sell out Cavs games.
17:40How many does it take to sell out?
17:41It's not 19 anymore.
17:43Was it 18 after the redo?
17:44What's the official number?
17:46Sell out Cavs games.
17:47You've got to get them on TV.
17:49I'll meet you halfway.
17:50Because this just seems to be crazy.
17:52I hope this changes immediately.
17:55Immediately.
17:56I don't know where to find a zone.
17:59I don't know where to find Rock.
18:03I know 43 and 19.
18:04I know where to find those.
18:06Yeah, Rock should be on your local cable.
18:08Okay, well, I'm going to have to go root-hogging for it.
18:10I'm not sure if you have to have a sports podcast.
18:11I think I'll end up on rural TV.
18:13I know I can get it on the old bunny ears.
18:17Okay.
18:18Channel 22.
18:18I'm just, like, it, I just, again, if they change this as soon as possible,
18:26I'll give them all the credit in the world.
18:28And I like them over there.
18:30They're very, very nice.
18:32And they're very good to the fans.
18:34They put on a good show.
18:35When you can go see them live, they're wonderful.
18:39But, damn, this is not good.
18:42You have, this area does not, I always bring up the Peter King principle.
18:47He could not believe when we first started talking stadiums,
18:51and then he would take it back to the 90s,
18:53when we'd raise hell over stadium prices.
18:56Like, what was it, $300 million to build the original Huntington Bank Field?
19:01Was it $300 plus million?
19:02He couldn't believe people were raising hell then.
19:04And then he couldn't believe before he retired that we were raising hell
19:07over a new stadium being built.
19:08And that there would be two, he's like,
19:10$2 billion is the price to do in business.
19:11And we'd go, no, no, no.
19:12He goes, man, Cleveland's a different area.
19:14Yeah, we're a different area.
19:15So, we see $119 for something you told us doesn't matter.
19:20Come on.
19:212-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92.
19:25You got something to say?
19:26I'm sorry.
19:26I'm going to go to the phones.
19:27I was just going to say that.
19:30Well, I'll get to the phones in a second.
19:31I'll explain.
19:32Let me go to John in Wadsworth, your first up in the fan.
19:36Hello.
19:37Good morning, guys.
19:37How you doing?
19:38Doing okay, John.
19:39Go ahead.
19:40Yeah, I'm with you guys on this cost thing.
19:43The one thing that I've always thought about, though, I mean, with all this cord cutting
19:46and stuff going on, you know, why have all the major sports and even like the NCAA, why
19:52have they not thought about going to like a pay-per-view per game type of thing?
19:56Because, you know, I'll use Ohio State just as an example.
19:59You know, like, I mean, like you said, Anthony, they're on all these different stations.
20:03I can never find them.
20:04But I also am not going to waste a Saturday afternoon watching them beat Kent State 63
20:09to nothing.
20:10So if I can't find them and then let's say we get to the Michigan game, if they're going
20:14to charge me like, let's say, $15, $20 for a single-game view, I would do that.
20:19And this thing with the Cavs is the same thing.
20:21Let's say it's $10 a game.
20:23Like, I'd probably watch, I don't know, 10 games a year.
20:26And I'm lucky.
20:26My local cable provider in Wadsworth has like every sports thing you could ever want.
20:31So I'm lucky, but I mean, if they're going to charge like $10 a game, I would do that.
20:36But paying $120 off the front, I would not do it.
20:39It's weird how it adds up.
20:41I'll tell you this.
20:42There's also $19.99 a month.
20:44It's not just $120 up front.
20:45Well, yeah, but if you're going to pay $10 a game, you might as well pay $20 and get
20:48all of them.
20:49Stay with me, John.
20:50Like, it does get convoluted because, like, we've talked about this before.
20:56Like, you remember in 2020 when we had COVID and Ohio State couldn't play football
21:01and everybody was mad at the Big Ten and people were talking about Ohio State separating
21:03from the Big Ten.
21:04What you're saying kind of goes into one of those reasons is that if you were doing
21:09pay-per-view and Ohio State's sitting there going, why am I sharing a television deal
21:13with all these?
21:13Or why am I sharing anything with the rest of the Big Ten when people are paying just
21:17to see Ohio State play?
21:18Why do I need to share anything with the rest of the Big Ten?
21:21So they have to be a partner of the other programs that are in the Big Ten.
21:27Same thing with, like, Vanderbilt football is not as important as Alabama.
21:31football in the grand scheme of things.
21:32Or it's popular, I should say.
21:34So Alabama would start to feel the same way.
21:35And maybe that's where it's going anyway, to be honest with you.
21:38But you'd like to stave it off as long as you can, John.
21:42So, yeah, you can do.
21:44And hold on, I've got to move this.
21:45John, thank you very much for the call.
21:47You can try to do play-by-play.
21:49But, again, I just think it's an easier thing.
21:51What's crazy is that in the world we're living in, this is so different from when we
21:54started, you know, this station got launched 15 years ago that there, basically, every
22:02other Ohio State game, I don't know where it is until I turn on the game and sometimes
22:08I miss kickoff.
22:09Like, I don't put enough thought or energy behind where is the Ohio State game.
22:13I start at noon on Fox.
22:15Yeah, big noon kickoff is the first go-to because they've standardized that.
22:19They've marketed it as such a big deal, as mad as a lot of Ohio State fans are about
22:22that.
22:23I still like the noon kickoff as long as I'm not doing a game at the same time.
22:27But I've missed kickoffs looking for it.
22:30They had games on FS1 a few years ago.
22:32I'm like, where is it?
22:34Do I have it?
22:35That's an issue.
22:36I understand that.
22:37But where I come out on it is that if I don't have accessibility, I just think I'm less
22:43likely to go and actually buy a ticket.
22:47Like, I'd like a road trip to go see a game, going to see Notre Dame.
22:51And frankly, I will tell you this, I'm starting to circle some Tennessee stuff next year.
22:56Because you turn on a Tennessee game, you see 100,000 people screaming, your kids walk
23:00by, and I will tell you, hand to God, Axel walks by and goes, what's this?
23:05And this was a couple years ago.
23:06I go, this is Tennessee.
23:07He goes, I like it.
23:09Now he kind of wants to go see it.
23:10If I'm going to take, I don't like to go on vacation.
23:12I like to go on trips and go see football games.
23:14And I know I'm maybe not, I'm out of the area.
23:17So this is going to be a one-off if I ever do go to see Tennessee play at Nayland
23:21Stadium.
23:22Just for the atmosphere and all the stuff.
23:24But I think the people at the University of Tennessee goes, well, that's part of what
23:28brings 100,000 people here.
23:30The years of tradition on the radio, the years of tradition on TV, them seeing this atmosphere,
23:36them wanting to sing Rocky Top.
23:37That's what brings people to Columbus.
23:39Them seeing the script Ohio on TV, them seeing Woody Hayes go nuts on refs on TV,
23:46them seeing Jim Trestle look like the senator in the sweater vest on TV.
23:51I want to go see that.
23:52Now I can charge him more for the ticket.
23:54So you want to be a part of that experience.
23:57Well, I can charge you more for the ticket on what feels like free TV.
24:00It's not.
24:01We're all paying something for the television, obviously.
24:03But it feels free to us.
24:05I just think that this is, if this is the way things are going, I don't think it's the
24:11right way.
24:11But I can't say it's the way things are going.
24:13Because again, you have a couple of teams in the NBA just giving it away.
24:18And they're making it up on the national broadcast.
24:212-1-6-4-7-4-00-92.
24:24Not the type of way we want to kick off an NBA season around here, I'll tell you.
24:27Mary Kay 820.
24:29Coming up in five minutes at about last night.
24:32You know, I was the chubby guy on the right that was scared to death.
24:34I think I found the not-so-chubby guy in the center that was scared to death yesterday.
24:38The chubby guy on the right is just scared to death.
24:40The other guy's keeping it 100% real, man.
24:43Joe Burrow said a lot without saying anything.
24:45It's coming up in about last night on the fan.
