Oura has added two cardio fitness features to its smart ring, Engadget reports. Cardio Effort estimates how much strain activity puts on the body, sorts each week into five personalized ranges from light to reaching, and compares the results with the wearer's own baseline. VO2 Max estimates, previously called Cardio Capacity, now run automatically from regular GPS-enabled workouts rather than requiring a six-minute walking test. The feature is available in Oura Labs for third-generation rings and later, while Apple Watch and Fitbit have offered similar cardio metrics for some time.
