00:22Hello and welcome, and I can tell you it was a dry walk to the gantry today, no rain in
00:27sight. My name is Derek Ray, and my commentary partner on this occasion is Stuart Robson,
00:32and we can't wait for this one to start with justifiable cause. It's Dynamo Zagreb, and
00:38they face Dynamo Kiev. Well, both teams know they need to start the game well here, try
00:44to dominate the midfield area, and get their creative players on the ball. This should
00:48be an interesting game, I think. And this is how the hosts will begin the game today.
00:54Well, it's a back four, a narrow midfield three, and a very disconnected front three.
00:59But if the midfield players give good support to the central striker, this 4-3-3 system could
01:05work really well today.
01:12Let's have a look at the initial 11 for the visitors.
01:15Well, on paper it's down as a 4-5-1, but for me it's more likely to be a split
01:20midfield,
01:21with three supporting the front man, and two sitting that little bit deeper as defensive
01:26cover.
01:45So the ball is rolling, the first half of this game underway, and carrying an extra bit
01:52of attacking intensity.
01:58Vitaly Bujalski.
02:04Oh, in with a chance!
02:08And a goal!
02:09Not wasting much time today!
02:12They strike first!
02:14Well, here's the replay.
02:16Watch how he goes past his man with such ease, and it's just a change of pace.
02:19And then through on goal, he just goes for power and smashes it past the keeper.
02:23There's no stopping that.
02:24What a great finish!
02:27Showing a great defensive instinct.
02:32Outdoing his opponent.
02:34Yeah, great bit of skill.
02:41What a moment!
02:45Oh, a tackle that was impeccable!
02:49Well, they're moving it around with real purpose here, and credit is due for that good
02:54piece of defending.
02:54Teammates available.
03:09And possession lost there.
03:23Can't be a chance here!
03:25Oh, excellent reflexes!
03:28Yeah, made it really difficult for the striker.
03:30Top-class goalkeeping.
03:39Trying to pick out a teammate.
03:41Well, got right behind it, and crucially turned it out of the danger area.
03:53Dubinczak.
03:55Well, they have it again.
04:04Well, this could really help the cause.
04:07Tanks is on.
04:11And it's a goal!
04:12Level again!
04:14What a match this is turning out to be!
04:19Well, here it is again.
04:21He goes past his markers so easily with just a drop of the shoulder.
04:24And when he gets onto it, he decides to go for power.
04:26It's a really emphatic finish, which gives the keeper no chance.
04:42So, back underway.
04:44They've levelled it at 1-1 here.
04:46So, back underway.
04:57They've levelled it at 1-1 here.
05:00Now, a decent position.
05:02Can he give them the lead?
05:04And, alarmingly, that is a long way off target.
05:12A very effective play, and they might be onto something.
05:21Now, options are plenty.
05:30And showing good game awareness.
05:34Oh, the threat is there.
05:36Could catch them on the break.
05:38And that has had to stop an attack.
05:50Can they forge ahead?
05:52Oh, how about that for a tackle?
05:55Well, defending doesn't get much better than that.
05:57Hrithani Buklielski.
06:01Hrithani Buklielski.
06:02Stijn Dijdiya.
06:04Oh, my God.
06:59Oh, my God.
07:04Well, he certainly made his mark on the game, and now the manager is making a switch.
07:11Didn't quite go to plan, that one.
07:13Yeah, that was a cheap giveaway.
07:15Ready to strike!
07:17Well, he tried to put everything into the shot, but couldn't find the target.
07:27Misic.
07:32Textbook example of how to cut it out.
07:38There will be one minute added on at the end.
07:45That is that for the first half here.
07:47There will be one minute added on at the end.
08:11So, all even here.
08:13Who will take control in the second half?
08:25Delivering it into the box, but into the keeper's gloves.
08:36Really getting stuck in.
08:42Moving the ball forwards.
08:44How creative can they be?
08:49An opportunity to forge ahead from this corner situation.
08:55Well worth, I think, at this stage, going back to the chance from earlier.
09:15Now, sending it in.
09:18Well, the header not troubling the goalkeeper.
09:20Well, I have to say, the defender has done just enough there to put him off.
09:36And losing possession.
09:38Can he put them in front?
09:40But it was a wonderful chance.
09:42But the goalkeeper comes through.
09:44Yes, Derek, we have to give credit to the keeper.
09:47But surely he should have scored there.
09:48That's a big, big chance.
09:51A really meat and drink to the keeper under the circumstances.
09:55Can they set up a chance?
10:04Pichail Yonok.
10:08Popov.
10:10Danger building.
10:15Couldn't quite turn it into a chance.
10:19Delightfully played.
10:21Delightfully played.
10:21Menacing.
10:26And a useful cross.
10:28Well, no problems defensively.
10:34And a good challenge to bring that attack to an end.
10:41Can they take the lead?
10:48Well, nicely cut out.
10:50Now, what can they do with the ball?
10:53Intelligent ball.
10:55Oh, a twitchy clearance.
10:57Well, as he hit that one, it looked as though it had a chance.
11:02He's been a joy to watch, no two ways about that.
11:06But the manager bringing on a fresh player now.
11:12Very effective pass.
11:16Well, they stopped them in their tracks.
11:20And the counter-attack looks on.
11:29They are there to intercept.
11:33Vitaly Bujalski.
11:40And losing possession.
11:44And we're inside the final 15 minutes.
11:48Oh, useful ball.
11:51He's in here.
11:54That's the challenge that was required.
11:58And he's broken free.
12:01And a goal!
12:02To re-establish the advantage.
12:05Just look at the celebrations.
12:14Well, just look at how poor the defending is here.
12:16But I have to say, it's still a very tidy finish.
12:19He looked really assured there.
12:31So, back underway here.
12:33Can they hold on to their lead?
12:38Making a bit of headway.
12:41Well, that is called helping out your mate.
12:48And teammates around him.
12:56Well, this might be the final opportunity to draw level.
13:00So, the personnel change then.
13:11And there's the delivery.
13:16Well, a colourful move that fades to grey.
13:20Very quick thinking there.
13:28Why not try it?
13:30If he can do it.
13:32And space opening up on the wing.
13:34He's in with a chance.
13:38And a goal it is!
13:39A two-goal cushion.
13:41Nothing to be sniffed at at this stage of the game.
13:50Well, just look how he holds off the defender.
13:52He keeps his balance and he still hits the target.
13:55What a good goal that is.
14:16So, back underway at 3-1.
14:28Crossing into the middle.
14:30Oh, that's a special header.
14:33That is how to score from that position.
14:36Magnificent headed goal.
14:48Well, just look at this.
14:50The timing, the determination, the skill.
14:53This is a brilliant header from a top-class player.
14:55It's a great goal.
15:04And there goes the final whistle.
15:07It's gone the wrong way as far as the home fans are concerned.
15:11That just wasn't good enough today.
15:13It's a great sự!
15:15I know you did a great job drum guys!
15:16I will miss you and thank you and thank you and thank you so much for watching ihrQ
