00:00I wonder, Mike, if the Eagles saw the reaction and fallout coming, if it was even from them.
00:05Because when the news gets dropped originally, a lot of it was, wow, what a warrior Jalen Hurts.
00:10Before it was, wait, wait a second, what did Philadelphia let him do?
00:14And then, I don't know, maybe there was a scramble to kind of cover up certain details because they realized
00:19this is not what we want.
00:21If you go back and look at some of the reports that came out yesterday from the traditional insiders who
00:26suggested he was advised to not sleep and didn't sleep,
00:30there's a cleanup on aisle five going on, and I think it was spurred by some aggressive efforts by the
00:36Eagles to get them to clarify, amend, soften their reports.
00:42So now we're left with this impression, and the ESPN report, for example, was changed to he slept for seven
00:50and a half hours at the hotel and then took a nap at the stadium before the game.
00:55So, where's the truth in all of this?
00:58And the problem is we're never going to get to it, and the NFL benefits from the fact that there's
01:01always another bright, shiny object coming down the assembly line
01:05that will catch our attention and will lose interest in the Jalen Hurts story.
01:10I hope this is one that gets fully explored and completely resolved so that we can get to the truth.
01:16Because there's two angles here, and it is possible to care about both of them.
01:19One, there's a serious player health issue that may have been undermined and not handled properly by the team, the
01:26league, and the doctors.
01:27And to the extent that the NFL is constantly, constantly part of this machine that is bet, bet, bet, hey,
01:38everybody, bet, bet, bet, there's a lot of inside information out there.
01:42There's a lot of stuff that's being kept from the average person who's expected to wager and lose his or
01:47her money.
01:47And there's plenty of secrets that shouldn't be secret that are kept secret until the people involved have no choice
01:56but to tell the truth about what's going on.
