00:30Action begins here at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in this Tri-Series.
00:34KFC presents Bangkalfala, 2026 match number one is Pakistan vs Sri Lanka.
00:41Coin toss now, 4 out of 4 for Kusal Mendes.
00:46Landed in the favour of the Sri Lankan captain who has chosen to have a bowl first.
00:56A hint of movement, maybe just going down leg size, so early signs.
01:04Lovely, absolutely lovely.
01:09Absolute ripper.
01:11Sort of consistency.
01:15Re-hit.
01:19Bangs it out of the ground.
01:22Bangs it all the way for 6-0.
01:24A freebie.
01:26And Fakhar Zaman makes good use of it.
01:31Clipped into the left side, through the gap and for 4.
01:37Straight to the fielder, really good.
01:43I've picked up and the fielder will only watch it sail.
01:46He's got a good chunk of this, Syma Youb.
01:52This one's chipped and this one is taken.
01:55Another decent one swinging away, then a low full toss.
01:59Somehow Syma Youb manages to get...
02:04Brilliant.
02:07Timing all the way into the fence.
02:10Bobber off the mark.
02:14Just as you say that another one gets chipped into the air.
02:17The change in terms of length, bangs it in short.
02:22It's coming forward at it and gets down a little bit, I think, for...
02:29Just away from that fielder.
02:32A touch short and Barbara Azum will take 4 for it.
02:37And pulls it away.
02:38And gets off the mark in ODI internationals with a boundary.
02:45Shape away, but that is his aerial strength to the offside.
02:49Wonderful square drive off the back foot.
02:54Again full and this time just eased through the offside.
03:00Malenga short and wide and punched away.
03:05Short delivery.
03:07And given the treatment he deserved.
03:12Picked up and dispatched.
03:14With your length ever so slightly.
03:18You will be punished.
03:23There again.
03:24That is better.
03:26And is equally well played by Barbara Azum.
03:29From a length which can be awkward.
03:32Like that.
03:33Over the head of that fielder.
03:35In the end a soft dismissal.
03:41That is absolutely spectacular timing from Saad Big.
03:47Short ball in the air and taken.
03:51Another bounce or one.
03:52And as a consequence he just had to duck out of the way.
03:56Got his arms a little bit cramped.
04:01And this time swept fine.
04:06Close it up and drill through the offside.
04:09He is a very powerful striker of the ball.
04:12Oh top edge.
04:14Safely over the keeper.
04:16But he is trying hard.
04:19Should have this covered I think.
04:22No.
04:25That's in the air.
04:30Well he threw it up.
04:32He tossed it up.
04:33More.
04:38To the end.
04:39Chy the stumps.
04:40Had to put the dive in Salman Aliah.
04:42The the overthrow will result in.
04:44His first half century.
04:47Against Sri Lanka 10th.
04:50There's a Pakistan player.
05:00Into the weakened legs side.
05:01Denty of acreage.
05:06And he's got himself in and has the power to do things like that.
05:11And packs a punch, Hasan Nawaz.
05:18Gone.
05:19Sharp take.
05:20A really good take, Bharat Nayaka.
05:23And also for Kusal Mendes.
05:26Short ball again does the trick.
05:33And he's been very good with that shot.
05:36Effective.
05:39That is spectacular.
05:42And slotted.
05:44Salman Aliaga.
05:46Just kept the bat face open beautifully.
05:53Up and over.
05:56Very effective.
06:02Chipped.
06:04Last seven overs.
06:06That is his area.
06:08Extra cover.
06:09And this is dangerous signs for Sri Lanka.
06:14The top edge.
06:15And that will also go behind this Thompson and into the fence.
06:22Goes wide.
06:24And has just been placed away.
06:27Down to third.
06:32Whipped away in the gap.
06:34No stopping that.
06:38Outside edge.
06:39Well, right down to third man.
06:40Salman Aliaga.
06:42Fourth ODI 100.
06:45And what a fabulous 100 has been.
06:49Dropped from the test team.
06:51Dropped from the T20 team.
06:54Comes back.
06:55And redemption.
06:56This is that bar 100 moment.
07:00He was aiming more extra cover.
07:02But.
07:03Well, he split the gap perfectly.
07:06And they're happy.
07:07They stand to him.
07:09Since 24.
07:12And gone.
07:15But a good catch again by Kamidu Bendis.
07:18One of the safe fielders in the side.
07:22This time lifted.
07:23But it won't go all the way.
07:28Little over 300.
07:30Again.
07:31Fernando going full.
07:33No timing.
07:37Those outside off time.
07:39There is a neck.
07:41And what they're doing is they're slicing through the lower order.
07:47Malenga is in business.
07:50Is he?
07:51No.
07:52Clear gap as the ball passes.
07:53The bat satisfied.
07:54No bat in ball.
07:55Ball tracking.
07:56One running please.
07:58Original decision is not out.
08:00Landing outside of impact in line.
08:02And wickets hitting.
08:05When you need to change your decision from not out to out.
08:09You want a screen signal now.
08:11I'll tell you what.
08:15Whips it away.
08:16Leg side.
08:17It is in the gap.
08:18The timing's perfect.
08:21Full toss.
08:22Hammered down the ground.
08:24Boundary to start the 50th.
08:2667 for 5.
08:28The last 10 overs.
08:30Salman Ali Aga making 107.
08:32Barber, Saad and also Nawaz.
08:36Contributing.
08:37Courtesy 3 for Ashita Fernando.
08:412 for Madhushanka.
08:43But the star of the show.
08:45Inshan Malenga.
08:464 for 46.
08:51And here we go.
08:54Shahin Shahfredi.
08:57Ball swings it away.
08:59A misfeel.
09:00That is quite poor.
09:03Booker will not look back at that.
09:08Oh, was there a nick.
09:11The ball swung back.
09:12Against this new ball.
09:15Wide.
09:21Finally, the gap through the offside.
09:24Kamindu with a gorgeous extra cover drive.
09:30He did so.
09:34Go short.
09:35That is in the air.
09:37That should be the first wicket.
09:39No, yes.
09:41Well, not the first time in this game we have seen a batsman falling to a shot pitch delivery.
09:47That was goal with saving pace.
09:50And have a look.
09:51Have a look.
09:52At Faheem Ashraf.
09:54He was in athletic position to be able.
10:00Slightly offline.
10:02And will get a boundary.
10:05Oh, well played.
10:07Well played.
10:08Great presence of mind.
10:11And pulls.
10:12And that's four.
10:14At that pace.
10:17Oh, this time.
10:21Well, well, well.
10:24I thought something was going to give, Roshan.
10:27Quite a few ballers in Pakistan.
10:29Oh, this is beautiful.
10:31This is a superb stroke.
10:35Might have jinxed it.
10:37Have jinxed it.
10:39But couldn't get the elevation.
10:42He wasn't fully committed that stroke.
10:44That's why it went straight to the fielder.
10:49Taken.
10:50That is gone.
10:51That has clipped the edge.
10:52And Saad Big takes a great catch behind the stumps.
10:55And also for Shaheen Shao freebie.
10:59Not one.
11:00Form of singles.
11:06Point two overs.
11:08Shots like that will help.
11:11Two shot and pulled away to the fence.
11:13That's...
11:16We'll get a reward with a boundary here.
11:20Excellent footwork.
11:22And he'll find the gap and the boundary once more.
11:26That is, again...
11:28We've seen this a couple of times where he just...
11:34Fine shot.
11:36That is a beauty.
11:40Edged and no slip.
11:46I must say that Pawan Ratnaika and...
11:49Chanit Leonegay has been brilliant and just like that...
11:54Take strike on 49.
11:58A moment that he will remember.
12:00It is his first half century.
12:02In his tenth appearance in one day international cricket to go with one century.
12:08And he plays shots like that.
12:11And he plays shots like that.
12:11Now Shaheen Shaafidee has brought himself back into the attack for maybe a two over spell to look.
12:17To provide inroads.
12:19Break this partnership open but he's been greeted.
12:25Could be another.
12:27Is another.
12:28No rush at all.
12:30You talk about a man who's quite low in his stance.
12:33You wonder sometimes against tall.
12:38Decides to go short again.
12:40It will be a similar result.
12:42The swivel.
12:44Into the gap.
12:46And that should run away.
12:49And it's four.
12:52In it.
12:53Oh.
12:55To get a response.
12:57From this surface.
12:58NBA.
12:59Taken.
13:00A huge moment in the game.
13:03Just push it to cover.
13:06Pulls it away.
13:08Short ball into the gap.
13:09That has raced away to the fence.
13:13Maesthi stroked through the offside.
13:15Too full.
13:16And driven away.
13:20Short ball.
13:21Pulled away.
13:22Leg side.
13:23Flat and long.
13:25Shanaka.
13:26And send the ball.
13:28Out of the park.
13:33Down the track.
13:34Hit extremely hard.
13:36And he brings up.
13:38His half century with a.
13:41Exquisite on drive.
13:44Walked away.
13:45Leg side.
13:46The timing's good.
13:47And that's raced away.
13:51Has he picked the man out?
13:53Yes he has.
13:57Check drive.
14:00Perhaps he'll be thinking he should have gone all the way with it.
14:06Lofty.
14:07He doesn't get it.
14:07He doesn't get it.
14:08And he's gone.
14:11Shanaka.
14:12Looking to go.
14:13In his favourite area.
14:16He's very good over long on and long off.
14:18But not this time.
14:20Yeah.
14:21That's right.
14:21That's right.
14:24Got him.
14:26Little feather.
14:29He's been good.
14:30Nassim Shah.
14:31Got his outswinger going.
14:33Has been.
14:37Mix up.
14:38Should be out.
14:39Is gone.
14:42Just look at the mix up.
14:44Asita wanted it.
14:46Well.
14:46Well.
14:47Still sure.
14:48Make up your mind.
14:52Oh.
14:52How is that missed?
14:56And it'll be the last of the game.
14:59Tough conditions with the bat first up.
15:02So Pakistan winning by 37 runs.
15:06Only the fifth time that Pakistan quick bowlers claim nine or more wickets in ODIs at home.
15:12And that winning margin perhaps flattered Pakistan a little bit.
15:16But take nothing away from their all-round excellent performance.
15:19In match one of the bank Alfala tri-nation series of 2026.
15:36And we'll see you next week.
