00:16thing about the show is that it really is an ensemble show and everyone plays their part
00:23and someone can have like a quiet season and then they come back and it's all about them
00:29i mean so you just never know what's going to happen real life is fascinating um and do you
00:36do you have a favorite franchise no no i will say new york and atlanta have always been kind of

00:44close to my heart what's been your kind of the few moments that have stood out for you in terms

00:50like wow this is amazing television um oh my god so many i mean we've had so many i mean

00:58thing about the book is i take you behind the scenes of pretty of every reunion show we've ever
01:04every housewives reunion show we've ever done and we've had some incredible doozies from atlanta
01:10season nine to um you know there are some really memorable uh potomac and new york i mean all
01:19all of them but i i share my insights about um you know what i was thinking and and um
01:27what i went in
01:28thinking there were reunions where we thought it was going to be someone's last season and then they
01:32totally blew us away at the reunion and there are reunions where someone came in and we were
01:38you know thinking oh this is great and then they totally uh you know they they wind up isolating
01:45everyone in the group or isolating themselves so they really can determine a lot in terms of the
01:51future of the show what do you take about the criticism let's say that you're um creating dissent
01:57and creating arguments and conflict um i think it is a i think that's a over generalization
02:11conversation and that if the show was just only that it wouldn't still be on the air in all these
02:18iterations you know it's funny it's uh it can be about sisterhood i mean i would i would point anyone
02:26to the premiere of the of the current season of the real housewives of salt lake city i mean that
02:32was
02:32a really good example of women gathering around to support another woman who had just been through the
02:38worst thing in her life and you know her kind of realizing that this group kind of helped her
02:45get through this horrible situation and so i think if you just skim the surface it's kind of an easy
02:57way to slam the show but i don't think that it's actually representative and i i don't think the woman
03:02i if it was only that i don't think the woman would the women would continue to be on it
03:10uh has
03:10there anyone who surprised you who you i know there's so many celebrities who love the show
03:14is there anyone you're like oh my god i can't believe i don't know um coffee and i'm julia roberts
03:21right and michelle obama i mean she keeps kind of talking about it more and more
03:30with more with more and more detail on her podcast and it just blows me away
