00:00Indianapolis made a change this morning here with Chris Ballard.
00:03They ended up firing him.
00:04You know, Chris Ballard had brought some pretty good players in there.
00:07You know, Nelson, the offensive guard in there.
00:10Jonathan Taylor, the running back.
00:12There's been some players there, but obviously it's been very disappointing.
00:16You know, they gave Daniel Jones that contract extension.
00:19They thought maybe they had found their guy here.
00:21You know, how is this thing looking?
00:23And really, do you think Shane Steichen is also next?
00:27I think Steichen is certainly on the hot seat.
00:30I think he has a little more leeway because Ballard was there for 10 years.
00:33The Colts were extremely patient with him, and he had some good pickups.
00:37As you mentioned, Quentin Nelson, Jonathan Taylor, even Daniel Jones last year looked like a great signing.
00:43And I know things have kind of turned on a dime as they do in the NFL,
00:46but I think it was time for a leadership change in the front office.
00:49I think this is a warning shot to Shane Steichen to say, hey, if you can get things right this
00:54year,
00:54you might end up being the guy who leads our organization going forward as the head coach,
00:58and then we'll bring in a GM to help you.
01:00But if things don't go well for the Colts the rest of the year,
01:03I think their new owner, Carly Ursae-Gordon, is probably just going to look at things and say,
01:08all right, I've learned enough.
01:10I've looked at what these guys were doing.
01:11It wasn't working out.
01:13It's time to make wholesale changes and try to get this thing on the right track
01:16because, man, they have not gotten the quarterback position right since Andrew Luck retired.
01:20And I know that that was – no one could have foreseen Luck retiring in the way that he did,
01:26but they've just settled for so many Band-Aids at the position.
01:29And until they get someone in there that they could say, hey, this is our guy.
01:33We can trust him, and we know that he's going to be good.
01:35It's going to be hard for the Colts to turn it around.
