00:00It's so nice to actually meet you.
00:02You're a legend.
00:03Well, that's not the general opinion these days,
00:05but thank you. It's an honor to help.
00:06Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:08And today, we're counting down our picks
00:09for the most infamous times
00:11when actors allegedly attempted
00:13and sometimes succeeded
00:14in getting a co-star fired from a production.
00:17Reports claim that Shannon Doherty
00:19left her TV series charmed
00:21over a behind-the-scenes feud
00:22with co-star Alyssa Milano.
00:25Number 20, Isaiah Washington and Grey's Anatomy cast.
00:29Grey's Anatomy
00:30With the hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy
00:33still in its infancy,
00:34it nearly fell apart as reports of a fight
00:37between Washington and Patrick Dempsey emerged.
00:39During it, the Preston Burke actor
00:41allegedly used a homophobic slur
00:43directed at co-star T.R. Knight,
00:45who hadn't come out publicly at that point.
00:48This word is used to put people down.
00:51It's to put people in their place.
00:53It's to shame people.
00:54During the 2007 Golden Globe,
00:56Washington denied using the term against Knight
00:59only to utter it again.
01:01Katherine Heigl then responded
01:02that Washington should, quote,
01:04never be allowed to speak publicly again,
01:06which he took as inspiring others
01:08to protest for him to be fired.
01:10I'm going to be really honest right now.
01:11He needs to just not speak in public, period.
01:14I'm sorry, that did not need to be said.
01:16I'm not okay with it.
01:18Shortly after,
01:19Washington was dropped from Grey's Anatomy.
01:21During an interview with the Houston Chronicle,
01:23the actor alluded that Knight should have been canned,
01:26stating, quote,
01:27they fired the wrong guy.
01:29Everyone should be able to have their dignity
01:31and their pride and their integrity and their honor.
01:35So that's one of the reasons why I'm here.
01:37Number 19,
01:38Justin Baldoni and It Ends With Us cast.
01:40It Ends With Us.
01:42Instead of being best known for what we saw on screen,
01:45this film was remembered for the behind-the-scenes drama.
01:48Shortly before It Ends With Us was released,
01:50reports emerged that Baldoni and Blake Lively had clashed on set.
01:54This even led Lively to commission her own edit of the film,
01:58which the rest of the cast reportedly supported.
02:00Do you love him?
02:03I did.
02:04Do you love him now?
02:06I love you.
02:07That wasn't my question.
02:09Then began the legal battle,
02:10as Lively sued Baldoni for harassment and other issues,
02:14while he countersued for defamation.
02:16During this,
02:17it emerged that Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds,
02:19had contacted Ari Emanuel,
02:21the chairman of talent agency WME Group,
02:24to go full Ari on Baldoni.
02:26Ryan Reynolds, quick!
02:30Ryan Reynolds, how's it going?
02:32Great!
02:33Why, what have you heard?
02:38Seemingly, he did just that,
02:40as Baldoni was let go by the agency
02:42when the harassment allegations came out.
02:44The suit accuses the Crisis team,
02:46including Jones' former employee,
02:48of scheming to bury and destroy co-star Blake Lively
02:51to protect Baldoni,
02:52and then blame Jones for the smear campaign.
02:55Number 18,
02:56Leonard Roberts and Allie Larder.
02:58Heroes.
02:59Ever since D.L. Hawkins was taken out with a firearm in Heroes,
03:03fans have wondered how that was possible,
03:04since he has intangibility powers.
03:07Well, seemingly backstage drama trumps realistic storytelling.
03:10In 2020, Hawkins actor Roberts went public
03:14with his experience filming the show,
03:15and it wasn't good.
03:18You look beautiful, Nick.
03:21Yeah.
03:25How the hell did you get in here?
03:27He claimed there was tension between him and Larder,
03:30and he wondered if Race was involved,
03:32since she was fine with intimate scenes
03:34with her white co-stars,
03:35but not with him.
03:36Roberts also stated that when the show creator,
03:38Tim Crink, told him Hawkins was being killed off,
03:41he mentioned it was due to the Allie Larder situation,
03:44and lack of chemistry.
03:46I'm gonna take Micah to school.
03:49You have a great day at work.
03:52When I get home tonight,
03:54we gonna celebrate.
03:56Afterwards, Larder apologized,
03:58and added that Roberts' experience
04:00differed from her memory of it.
04:02Number 17,
04:03America Ferreira and Lindsay Lohan.
04:05Ugly Betty.
04:06Despite Lohan starting to fall into a series of personal scandals
04:09that derailed her career for several years,
04:12it was quite the coup for Ugly Betty
04:13to bring her in for a recurring role in 2008.
04:17Lindsay Lohan is reportedly set to appear
04:19in the season finale of Ugly Betty.
04:21While fans may have been delighted,
04:23the series' star Ferreira
04:24was reportedly the complete opposite.
04:27The two allegedly got into several altercations on set,
04:30resulting in Lohan's role being cut from six episodes to four.
04:34According to a source close to the Mean Girls star,
04:37Ferreira was rude to her
04:38and campaigned to have Lohan kicked off the show.
04:40According to an anonymous production employee,
04:43Lohan was trouble for them too,
04:44as she left her dressing room in such a mess
04:47that it needed to be repainted after her departure.
05:02Oh boy, all this drama has got us craving even more pop culture.
05:06Thankfully, there's a place to enjoy all of that,
05:09the Miss Mojo 24-7 livestream.
05:11All you have to do is scan the QR code on screen
05:14and join us for non-stop pop culture content.
05:17You're calling Jax Taylor a liar?
05:20Yes.
05:21Number 16.
05:22Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford
05:24Lethal Weapon
05:25After two seasons as one of the main stars
05:27on the TV show Lethal Weapon,
05:29Crawford was shockingly fired,
05:31throwing the whole series into disarray.
05:33Reports emerged that he and the other lead Wayans
05:36had a poor relationship.
05:37It all came to a head when Crawford was recorded
05:40insulting Wayans,
05:41and he was injured by debris from an episode Crawford directed.
05:44With other reports of poor behavior on set,
05:47Crawford was dropped from the show.
05:48A Lethal Weapon star leaves the action series
05:51after multiple accounts of bad behavior on set,
05:54including endangering his fellow castmates.
05:57Wayans stated on social media
05:58that it wasn't just his complaints
06:00that led to Crawford's dismissal,
06:02but that he allegedly abused and tormented others.
06:05Crawford claimed he was blackmailed
06:07and set up to be fired by Wayans
06:09and others involved in the show.
06:11No, I mean, you know,
06:12you sit there and you just go,
06:14I don't know, I need to read a script.
06:15That's what I said.
06:16I need to read a script.
06:17I don't even think I wanted to read the script.
06:19I just felt it was such a bad idea.
06:20Number 15, Heidi Swedberg and Seinfeld cast.
06:24Seinfeld.
06:25Some Seinfeld fans have long pondered
06:27why Susan was suddenly killed off
06:29after licking envelope glue
06:30for invitations to her and George's wedding.
06:34What's that?
06:37She expired.
06:41Are you sure?
06:43Yet that unusual cause of demise
06:45was explained by George actor Jason Alexander in 2015.
06:49While on Howard Stern's radio show,
06:51he stated that it was very difficult
06:53to play off of Swedberg.
06:55He didn't exactly hide his displeasure
06:57as other actors,
06:58including Jerry Seinfeld and Julia Louis-Dreyfus,
07:01soon understood after doing a scene with her.
07:04After Louis-Dreyfus asked showrunner Larry David
07:06if he wanted to kill Susan,
07:08he agreed and the character's fate was sealed.
07:11Alexander later apologized
07:12and clarified that he didn't have anything against Swedberg,
07:16only her character.
07:17That's a nice attempt to try to walk it back.
07:20Listen, Susan was a cold fish.
07:22No one was sad to see her go,
07:24especially George, as we all know.
07:26Number 14, Tan France and Bobby Burr, Queer Eye.
07:29Soon after the Netflix reboot aired,
07:32the Fab Five were household names
07:34as fans stand different members.
07:36Yet by 2023, everything changed
07:38when Burr announced his departure.
07:41Officially, he stated it was due to reaching
07:43the end of his contract
07:44and that he was ready to move on.
07:46Yet according to rumors, France was involved.
07:49Allegedly, he campaigned to have Burr replaced
07:51with his friend Jeremiah Brent,
07:53which France has denied.
07:55To try and fill that gap is, I think, almost impossible.
07:58Impossible, yeah.
07:59Especially with the show that's so established,
08:01we've had chemistry together for seven years now.
08:04However, Burr has stated that he and France
08:06did have a falling out.
08:08The drama was also ignited in 2026
08:10when Karamo Brown skipped press interviews
08:13with the Queer Eye cast to protect his mental health.
08:16Burr, supporting Brown, posted a TikTok video
08:18promoting his new show
08:19with a Chapel Rhone song about karma.
08:22It was a really difficult year to have that happen.
08:25And my hope is only ever for all of our success
08:29and for our happiness.
08:30And I just, I wouldn't wish what happened to our cast
08:35and to our crew, like on anybody.
08:38Number 13, Mel Gibson and the Hangover Part 2 cast.
08:41The Hangover Part 2.
08:43Following the success of Mike Tyson's cameo,
08:46the 2011 sequel, The Hangover Part 2,
08:48wanted to replicate it by bringing in Gibson.
08:51However, at this time, he was essentially banned
08:54from the industry after anti-Semitic, racist,
08:56and violent rants alongside legal issues.
08:59While director Todd Phillips was delighted
09:01at Gibson's inclusion, the rest of the cast weren't.
09:05When reports of Gibson's casting were announced in 2010,
09:08Zach Galifianakis alluded on a radio show
09:10to protesting against an unknown film he was working on.
09:14Seemingly, it was this one.
09:16The cast members started saying,
09:18we don't think this is a good idea.
09:20This is gonna be a problem for the movie,
09:22overshadow the movie.
09:23Why are we promoting this guy,
09:25you know, that has such a violent temper
09:26and, you know, the tapes and all that.
09:28Gibson was soon dropped
09:29and his role was given to Liam Neeson.
09:31However, when he was busy
09:33with another production for reshoots,
09:35the role of the tattoo artist went to Nick Cassavetes.
09:38Look at this.
09:40That's the sign of the Chiang Mai Monastery
09:41just outside of town.
09:43Maybe somebody over there can get him to talk.
09:45Number 12.
09:47Samantha Marie Ware and Lea Michele
09:49Glee
09:49All it took was for Michelle to throw her support
09:52behind hashtag Black Lives Matter
09:54for everything to come out in 2020,
09:57five years after Glee ended.
09:59Ware, who joined the cast for season six,
10:01claimed Michelle used microaggressions against her
10:04during filming and made her first TV role,
10:06A Living Hell.
10:07Remember when you made my first television gig,
10:10A Living Hell?
10:10Cause I'll never forget.
10:12Other cast members, such as Alex Newell and Amber Riley,
10:15sided with Ware's account.
10:17She also accused Michelle of threatening
10:19to have her fired and using the same threat against others.
10:22Ware was allegedly not the only target,
10:24as she reportedly called extras cockroaches
10:27and was rude to many other people on set.
10:30Michelle responded to the allegations
10:32by apologizing for her immature attitude at the time.
10:35The actress added,
10:36I apologize for my behavior
10:38and for any pain which I have caused.
10:40Number 11.
10:41Shannon Doherty and Alyssa Milano
10:43Charmed
10:44Whenever there's a beloved show with siblings,
10:46you expect their bond on screen
10:48to translate to real life like supernatural.
10:51Yet this seemingly wasn't the case for Charmed.
10:54When Doherty was cast as one of the main characters,
10:56Prue Hallowell,
10:57it reportedly didn't take too long
10:59for tensions to rise between her
11:01and her on-screen sister Milano.
11:02While Doherty made no reference to her Charmed co-star,
11:06she told E.T. the rumors of a rift have no effect on her.
11:09To me, it's sort of whatever.
11:12You know, I miss Holly a lot.
11:14In 2023, while on Doherty's podcast,
11:17the other original Hallowell sister, Holly Marie Combs,
11:20claimed that Milano issued an ultimatum to a producer.
11:23They had to choose between keeping her or Doherty.
11:26Apparently, this led to Doherty being written
11:28out of Charmed in 2001.
11:30Milano denied the allegations on social media,
11:33stating that she didn't have the power
11:35to demand Doherty's dismissal.
11:37I was in competition rather than it being that sisterhood
11:41that the show is so much about.
11:42And I have some guilt about my part in that.
11:46Number 10, Lisa Rae McCoy and Stacey Dash, Single Ladies.
11:50You both make me sound so cold and calculating.
11:53This show on VH1 centered on three friends
11:56and their titillating lives.
11:57But perhaps the juiciest story happened behind the camera.
12:01Stars McCoy and Dash certainly had their disagreements.
12:05And when McCoy appeared on Centrix Being,
12:07she admitted that she was a driving force in having Dash fired.
12:11So for our second season of Single Ladies,
12:13there was a replacement for Stacey Dash.
12:15Shortly after McCoy told her co-star to back off,
12:17Denise Vassie of All My Children stepped in
12:20to replace Dash for the show's second season.
12:22So while Dash's termination may not have come straight from McCoy,
12:26it sounds like she certainly had a say in it.
12:28I guess everybody else wanted to make it something and,
12:30you know, it just took a life on its own.
12:33Number 9, Charlie Sheen and Selma Blair, Anger Management.
12:37You can't fire me.
12:38I quit.
12:40Think you can replace me with some other guy?
12:41Go ahead.
12:42Charlie Sheen has been a bit of a wild card in recent years.
12:46And on the set of Anger Management,
12:48he was allegedly extremely difficult to work with.
12:51However, despite the issues stemming from his attitude,
12:54no one dared to say anything.
12:56No one, that is, except Selma Blair.
12:58That was kind of weird.
13:00I know. I like it weird.
13:02She complained about Sheen's work ethic to the producers.
13:05And after he got word of her complaints,
13:07he allegedly told them that it was either him or Blair.
13:10Seeing as Sheen was the star, it was bye-bye Blair.
13:14This was good timing,
13:15as the producers alleged they were planning to write Blair off the show anyway.
13:19Sheen's ultimatum simply hastened the process.
13:22It goes deeper than that.
13:23She wasn't just my research partner and best friend.
13:25We also had phenomenal sex together.
13:28Number 8, Kirk Cameron and Julie McCullough, Growing Pains.
13:32I thought you guys said that Julie and I were rushing into this.
13:35Where'd you get an idea like that?
13:37When atheist Kirk Cameron was 17,
13:39he became a born-again Christian.
13:41And as a result,
13:43he began to insist that Growing Pains take a more family-friendly approach,
13:47as he was reluctant to act out the racy scenes.
13:50As the story goes,
13:52Cameron's religion was a driving force for McCullough's termination,
13:55as he was appalled that she had posed for Playboy
13:58and criticized the show for endorsing pornographic material.
14:02Before you go,
14:04one last kiss.
14:09However,
14:10Cameron and the producers claim that she was written off the show for creative reasons,
14:14and that Cameron had nothing to do with it.
14:17Whatever the story and reason,
14:19Cameron and McCullough remain distant and hostile towards each other to this day.
14:23Look, I know my confusion must be hard for you to understand.
14:29It's not that hard.
14:30Number 7.
14:32Tori Spelling and Shannon Doherty
14:33Beverly Hills 90210
14:36I think there's something very,
14:39for me,
14:40my heart breaks a little bit for her.
14:42Shannon Doherty had quite the reputation throughout the 90s
14:45as being particularly difficult to work with,
14:48and this resulted in her termination from Beverly Hills 90210,
14:52the show that made her a superstar.
14:54Throughout filming,
14:55Doherty was an alleged pain,
14:56as her diva behavior got on the nerves of co-stars and crew members alike.
15:01So, what do you think?
15:03I'd march in his army any day.
15:05Deciding that enough was enough,
15:07Spelling called her father,
15:08who also happened to be a producer for the series,
15:11and asked him to let Doherty go.
15:13Complying with his daughter's wishes,
15:15Aaron Spelling fired Doherty,
15:17and her character was written off the show.
15:19I would have had a heart attack,
15:20but then I'd be dead right now,
15:21and you'd be walking down this hall alone today.
15:23Number 6.
15:24Sylvester Stallone and Richard Gere
15:26The Lords of Flatbush
15:27While you may not have heard of it,
15:33this low-budget movie about street teens
15:35stars legends Sylvester Stallone and Henry Winkler.
15:38It would have also starred Richard Gere,
15:41but after numerous fights with Stallone,
15:43he was fired and replaced during rehearsals.
15:46I'm saving for a cock!
15:47I'm saving for a cock!
15:48Stallone says that Gere would often get too into character,
15:51and that he would ignore his co-workers and their wishes,
15:54which resulted in Stallone elbowing him in the head
15:57and forcing the director to choose him or Gere.
16:00Well, Stallone is in the movie, and Gere isn't,
16:02so we all know how that turned out.
16:06I think about it.
16:08Number 5.
16:10Lucy Liu and Bill Murray
16:11Charlie's Angels
16:12The heart is a muscle.
16:16In bodybuilding,
16:18we exercise the muscle,
16:20and it grows bigger and stronger.
16:22Have you ever wondered why Bill Murray
16:24was inexplicably replaced by Bernie Mac
16:26for the Charlie's Angels sequel?
16:28As the story goes,
16:29it was allegedly due to Lucy Liu,
16:31as she and Murray did not get along
16:33on the set of the original movie.
16:35One day,
16:35they had a massive fight
16:37that supposedly stemmed from
16:38Murray telling Liu that she couldn't act,
16:40which resulted in Liu taking swings at Murray.
16:45While Murray has said that their fight
16:47was blown massively out of proportion
16:49and that Liu wasn't the reason for his departure,
16:51it's still telling that he did not return for the sequel.
16:54It's almost as if an angel was more important than Bosley.
16:58I've really enjoyed working on this assignment,
17:01and I eagerly anticipate returning to work.
17:04Number 4.
17:05Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf
17:07Orphans
17:08For this entry,
17:09we're going to Broadway,
17:11where Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf
17:12were scheduled to star together
17:14in an adaptation of Lyle Kessler's play Orphans.
17:17Baldwin immediately disliked LaBeouf,
17:19calling him, quote,
17:20scattered.
17:21He's gonna play a silent treatment the whole time?
17:24According to Baldwin,
17:25LaBeouf blew up on him one day
17:27for ruining his flow,
17:28and Baldwin had had enough.
17:30He went to the director
17:31and explained that he couldn't work with LaBeouf anymore,
17:34and that one of them needed to go.
17:36While Baldwin offered to quit,
17:38the director decided to fire LaBeouf instead,
17:41seemingly due to his attitude
17:42and Baldwin's star power.
17:44A play is always its own kind of rigor.
17:48Number 3.
17:49Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams
17:51The Notebook
17:52It wasn't over.
17:55It still isn't over.
17:58Yes, believe it or not,
18:00this extremely popular fairy tale of a movie
18:03wasn't so glamorous behind the scenes.
18:05Gosling and McAdams were at each other's throats
18:08throughout much of the filming,
18:09and things got so heated
18:10that Gosling eventually asked the director
18:13to replace McAdams.
18:14It's about security.
18:16What is that supposed to mean?
18:17Money!
18:18During the shooting of one scene,
18:19Gosling decided McAdams
18:21wasn't giving him enough to work with.
18:23He pulled the director aside
18:24and asked him to bring in another actress
18:26to read off camera.
18:27Rather than do that,
18:29he had the two stars go to a private room
18:31and dish it out.
18:32It seemingly worked.
18:33They dated for the next four years.
18:42Number 2.
18:43Will Smith and Janet Hubert
18:45The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
18:47I don't want to take the comfortable road anymore.
18:49And you shouldn't have to.
18:50Hand over the keys to your Benz.
18:52While the show may have been a ton of fun to watch,
18:54it sounds like it was anything but on the set.
18:57Like most stories,
18:59this one has two sides.
19:00Will Smith claims that Hubert didn't like him,
19:03and his co-star Alfonso Ribeiro
19:05decided that she ruined the cast's family dynamic
19:08and made it very difficult for them to work.
19:10Of course, this isn't the way Hubert sees it.
19:13I think he was young,
19:15and he was inexperienced,
19:16and I think he simply had to win.
19:19In an OMG Insider interview,
19:21Hubert opened up about how Will Smith
19:23allegedly responded to her firing.
19:25Well, that's exactly what happened,
19:28as Hubert was let go from the show
19:30and replaced by Daphne Maxwell-Reed
19:32for seasons four through six.
19:34Oh, come on, don't tease me.
19:36Number 1.
19:37John Stamos and the Olsen Twins
19:39Full House
19:41What's the matter, Michelle?
19:43We're Jack.
19:46Jack's in the box.
19:48Full House is infamous for its sugary sweet stories.
19:51It's hard to believe, then,
19:52that a pair of babies was fired behind the scenes.
19:55Stamos declared at the Television Critics Association
19:58that the Olsen Twins cried too much on set
20:01and that he told the producers to get rid of them.
20:04Kid, you okay?
20:08The producers then brought in replacement babies,
20:11but they didn't work out,
20:13and the Olsen's were rehired.
20:15Stamos has since said that he's glad
20:17that the twins ultimately did the show.
20:19They're probably glad they did, too,
20:20as they quickly shot to superstardom.
20:24Michelle, it's okay to feel sad.
20:26If I feel sad, I might cry.
20:29Does backstage drama make you want to check out
20:31the film or TV show?
