00:00Thanks Vash. Good evening Trinidad and Tobago and thank God it's Friday. A scorching hot Friday it was but still
00:08Friday.
00:09But let's see what our Friday night will bring.
00:12Mostly clear conditions despite the odd light shower with temperatures dropping to 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 over in
00:20Tobago.
00:21And if you're hoping for a cool break from the heat, well, our good, good Saturday will be another hot
00:27sunny day.
00:28But the Met Office says the odd shower may occur near hilly and western areas.
00:33So whatever plans you have, make sure to take some shade ever so often, drink your water and apply your
00:40sunscreen.
00:41Daytime temperatures will reach up to 54 degrees in Trinidad and 33 in Tobago.
00:46Now apply those same measures for the next couple of days because Sunday and Monday will be hot as well.
00:53But luckily, with periods of brief rain here and there, hopefully that cools down our atmosphere.
00:59Now let's take a look at our sun times in Trinidad.
01:02Sunrises at 555 and 552 in Tobago and sunset at 542 in Trinidad and 544 over in Tobago.
01:09The weekend is here and that's when we relax and unwind.
01:13And where better to do that than the beach?
01:16Well, if you're planning a beach day tomorrow, seas will be slight to moderate with waves up to 1.3
01:22meters in open waters and 0.5 meters to 1 meter in sheltered areas.
01:27So conditions should be manageable, but boaters are still advised to exercise caution, particularly in exposed areas.
01:35It's now time for your Thai times.
01:45And here's a quick update on Hurricane Trudy.
01:49The system has weakened a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 135 kilometers per hour.
01:57The system is moving north-northwestward and is expected to approach Mexico's Pacific coast over the weekend.
02:04Despite the weakening, heavy rainfall, flooding, landslides and strong winds remain major concerns for affected communities.
02:12And well, that's all for weather tonight.
02:15But before I go, we said our final goodbyes to the legend, the mighty Sparrow.
02:21And for one last time, Sparrow take over town.
02:25Guys, as always, have a safe, fun and blessed weekend.
