00:00A Thursday night football game tomorrow night.
00:03And boy, oh boy, the more I keep looking at this game, Craig, the more and more I'm just
00:08going to be fascinated with the chess match here between these two head coaches who, if
00:14you don't, if you recall, when McDonald got the job as the head coach of Seattle, the
00:21one of the first game that he actually was going up against was Denver and Sean Payton.
00:27And so what he did is he had, he instructed his guys to listen, we don't have anything
00:33on what Denver's doing, what's going on.
00:37So we had all the guys go look up on social media and pull all the clips from training
00:44camps or anything that was posted online was said, let's go.
00:48Let's try to figure out what's going on, what they're running, what's Payton doing.
00:53Sean Payton ended up catching wind of that and lost his mind and then accused McDonald
01:00of cheating.
01:01Then they threatened a lawsuit back and said, how dare you think I'm cheating.
01:05So these two do not like one another under any circumstances.
01:10And let's face it, this is kind of a pretty important game for both these teams at this
01:16point, especially Seattle coming off of that loss to the 49ers.
01:20Now they got to go to Denver.
01:22I'm wondering if he found any more videos on social media about what, because it would
01:29be nice to see what offense looks like from Denver, except Craig, we're not getting any.
01:34And that's the problem.
01:36The total is 40 and a half.
01:39I'm still struggling to figure out how we get over that number here tomorrow night.
01:44Yeah, I mean, the recipe for Denver has been the same in every game, home or road, which
01:49is do nothing in the first half.
01:50And then in the second half, Bo Nix starts throwing it around.
01:53They start running.
01:54And so that's good.
01:56That like we talked about yesterday, that's going to be my play tomorrow is first half
02:00Seattle.
02:00I mean, why should I change?
02:02Why should anybody change?
02:03Why should Denver be different than what they've been for four games or five games already,
02:08whatever week we're in?
02:09But they just seemingly sleepwalked through the first half and then like, how about that
02:13game against Jacksonville where they looked like they were going to get crushed and they
02:16came all the way back and beat Jacksonville in the second half too?
02:19I don't know what it is.
02:21Amazing.
02:22Amazing.
02:22You can't keep starting buying the eight ball every game and expect.
02:27Now, again, you can get away with it with the Chargers who were even worse offensively
02:32here.
02:32But if you can cut back on the turnovers there, Sam Darnold, that would be fantastic.
02:38But I'm with you.
02:39You know what?
02:40That first half play, love that look as well, because I think that is exactly what we're
02:45going to get.
02:46If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
02:48That offense is broke with Sean Payton right now, who took over play calling duties from
02:54Webb, who everyone kind of looked sideways when he said, all right, we're going, I'm hiring
02:59an offensive goal.
03:00He, you know, Davis Webb is going to hold, he's going to call a shot.
03:04But it turns out that when you look at what they did prior to the game last time, yeah,
03:10the offense actually performed a little bit better than they did with Sean Payton calling
03:14to play.
03:15So it feels like there's a lot of finger pointing.
03:18We're looking for answers that nobody has.
03:21But I can tell you this, Seattle better be able to run the ball, right?
03:26And sooner rather than later, because if Sam Darnold is going to be or have to drop back
03:32and throw 40 passes, Seattle's going to, because that defense is not what it was a year ago.
03:38I don't think anybody expected it to be.
03:41But you're going to need a running game at some point.
03:44So hopefully they get healthier and not have to use Helani, third string running backs who
03:50fumble in the end zone much more going forward.
03:53Yeah.
03:54So another, another thing you brought up in this game that, that I think is, is worth
03:58looking at, and I'm not sure that I'd have an opinion one way or the other, but I will
04:01have an opinion on something, which is like, I, I think at this point on the Monday night
04:07and Sunday night games, I cannot recommend an under at all until I see one, because there
04:13are none, every single game is going over, they're going to overtime, there's a lot of
04:16scoring.
04:17Now, last Thursday, if I'm not mistaken, the total was 48 and a half with Dallas and Tampa
04:23Bay, and that thing went way under.
04:25So Thursday night generally has been the under night of the week.
04:29So I think I can buy that with you, but I do want to say that when we're back here
04:35next
04:35Monday, I'm not going under anymore, like, and on Sunday night anymore.
04:39I mean, these, these, these primetime games, for whatever reason, these guys are showing
04:42up in a big way, and there's so much, 60, 70 points in all these games.
04:46Thursday night, though, a little bit different here.
04:48So maybe I could go with that one.
04:52Now, the previous Thursday night games have been going over too, but I think the trend's
04:55got to start to get back to where it normally is, which is Thursday games used to be duds
05:00through the years.
