00:29I'll see you next time
00:37Lewis the Cat of West Halibut Street was the fussiest eater you ever could meet.
00:44He always had lunch at his favorite cafe, where he ate the same food in the same seat each day.
00:51I'll have my usual, is what Lewis said.
00:55Some of your tuna on crusty brown bread.
00:58I know what I like, and I like what I get.
01:02Fetch me my tuna, then I'll be set.
01:05Take a risk, teased the owner, who was a gorilla.
01:08Today try some ice cream.
01:10You could start with vanilla.
01:12But Lewis rejected foods others would savor.
01:15I can tell by its look that I won't like its flavor.
01:20I know what I like, and I like what I've got.
01:23It's tuna for me.
01:24It hits the right spot.
01:28Until something happened that left Lewis shocked.
01:32One day he arrived, and the cafe was locked.
01:36Let me in!
01:38Let me in!
01:38Don't you know it's lunchtime?
01:41And then Lewis noticed a handwritten sign.
01:44I'm sorry we're closed.
01:46I'll be back next weekend.
01:48I've gone to the jungle to visit a friend.
01:51I want to eat here.
01:54I don't want to change.
01:56I don't want to go somewhere new, somewhere strange.
02:00But Lewis' tummy made a rumbling sound.
02:05Which meant, feed me, I'm hungry.
02:09Poor Lewis just frowned.
02:12So he walked up the road to another cafe.
02:15It's tuna on brown or I'm off on my way.
02:19The cafe was posh, with waiters to tend you.
02:22And you ordered your food from a scratch and sniff menu.
02:26He scratched and he sniffed, but tuna was nowhere.
02:33His poor tummy screamed, eat anything there!
02:38Peanut butter on brown was the thing Lewis chose.
02:42He ate it one-handed while holding his nose.
02:46He tried not to taste it.
02:48He tried not to chew.
02:49But he made a discovery, which surprised even Lou.
02:54Tuna was his favorite.
02:57But he liked this stuff more.
03:00And he wished that he'd tried peanut butter before.
03:04Lewis started to wonder.
03:05He started to doubt.
03:07And then Lewis realized he'd been missing out.
03:11The next week, the gorilla came back.
03:13Hello, Lou.
03:14Fish paste on brown?
03:16No thanks.
03:17Something new.
03:20Lewis tried some egg salad, salami and peas.
03:25Then he asked other diners, may I try that dish, please?
03:30He didn't like everything, but he liked quite a bit.
03:34He tried out the whole menu and did not want to quit.
03:37So he started requesting his own recipes, like banana split soup and strawberries on cheese.
03:46Soon other customers wanted Lou's dishes.
03:49Some were disgusting, but most were delicious.
03:53You never know till you try.
03:55That's what I always say, meowed Lewis proudly, baking hot dog souffle.
04:02Because now the gorilla let him do his own cooking.
04:06And the smells down the street had new customers looking.
04:11You're such a sensation, said the gorilla one day.
04:15I'll make you my partner and expand the cafe.
04:18Which is just what they did.
04:20And they changed the name, too.
04:22It became the Cat's Whiskers in honor of Lou.
04:26So, if you're ever hungry down West Halibut Street, have lunch made by Lewis.
04:33You'll be in for a treat.
04:57You'll be in for a treat.
05:00You'll be in for a treat.
