00:14:46The title's going up in a half an hour.
00:14:47If you're playing with a half an hour.

00:20:52Gator Serenade.
00:21:01Gator Serenade.
00:21:04now, that's why you hear me say, I don't want to get married, cause when you're single
00:21:25you have so much fun, I don't want to get married, cause two don't live as happy as one, now,
00:21:40I might want to stay out late sometimes to wait next day, and I don't want to be worrying
00:21:47about what my husband's gonna say, that's why I don't want to get married, cause when
00:21:56you're single you have so much fun, I don't want to get married, cause when you're single
00:22:07you're having so much fun, I don't want to get married, cause two don't live as happy as
00:22:19one, marriage license don't cost much, that's beyond a doubt, but in that jazz it jumps off
00:22:29afterwards, that's what I'm talking about, that's why I don't want to get married, cause
00:22:38when you're single you have so much fun, oh, I don't want to get married, cause when you're
00:22:49single you have so much fun, I don't want to get married, cause you don't live as happily
00:23:01as one, now, if you happen to meet a guy and see he ain't your kind, well, if there ain't
00:23:10no strings attached, all you got to do is just change your mind, cause when you're single
00:23:21you have so much fun, oh, I don't want to get married, cause when you're single you have
00:23:32so much fun, I don't want to get married, cause two don't live as happily as one, I went down
00:23:46to see my sister, she's got kids one, two, and three, well, that jazz's alright for sister,
00:23:53but that jazz ain't made for me, no, I don't want to get married, cause when you're free,
00:24:06when you're single you have so much fun, ask me I know, you know, I used to sit and wonder
00:24:25why I could never get along with my man, you see, that's the kind of jive I'm talking
00:24:34about, everybody meddling in my business, that's why I decided to change my plan, and you know,
00:24:43I ain't having no more trouble now, everything is just as cool as it can be, but honey, that
00:24:53wasn't until I had to tell every living, I was almost gone, to please stop worrying about
00:25:06me, cause if I feel like playing the jukebox, wearing flat heels and Barbie socks, that
00:25:18ain't nobody's business what I do, and if I go overboard for some fine honey, and let him
00:25:27use my money, that ain't nobody's business what I do, now if I junk his flavor and buy him
00:25:38a Cadillac, love used to be the thing, honey, but you got to give these modern men some jack,
00:25:45so if I see something that's kind of young and nifty and I feel like flipping him 50, that
00:25:51ain't nobody's business what I do, if my man goes to his union meeting, and I feel like
00:26:01doing some cheating, that ain't nobody's business what I do, and if you happen to see me out
00:26:09kind of late, well I'm doing the same thing you're doing, getting my business straight,
00:26:13and it ain't what I do, now if I look like I'm 50, and he's just 23, don't you lose
00:26:24no sleep
00:26:25honey, cause he must be sending me, if I feel like going out and having some fun with some
00:26:31young cat that looks like he might be my son, that ain't nobody's business what I do, now
00:26:40here's one thing, you know it's true, there ain't nothing more invigorating than to surround
00:26:46yourself with you, and it ain't nobody's business what I do, so honey, I done made up my mind
00:26:52to get me something young and raise him to my hand, when I get through with him he'll really
00:26:57understand, and it ain't nobody's business what I do, oh what I do, I'm telling you, it ain't
00:27:09nobody's business what I do, now you know what to tell your nosy neighbor.
00:27:37Come's now those two tons of melody and mirth, Patterson and Jackson.
00:27:48I believe, I believe, I believe in pushing wells, hey, I also believe in a lot of things
00:27:54that the daisers tell, I believe, I believe, that's the little of a bling, lots, lots, lots,
00:28:01sure, lots happiness, I believe those things, hey, when it's Christmas, I believe in Santa Claus,
00:28:08say what you believe, I don't drop, I believe the cause, I believe, I believe, I believe
00:28:14that dreams come true, hey, wish for a dream, I wish it well, don't tell me shall you break the
00:28:19smell,
00:28:19tell me shall you, cause that's what we believe, cause that's what we believe, cause that's
00:28:43what we believe.
00:28:47No one's talking to all by myself, no one's talking to, I'm happy on the shelf, more saving
00:28:53all my love.
00:28:57Don't say I've made no place to go, just sitting on me and my radio, more saving all my love.
00:29:07Like that corner, in a corner, ain't going nowhere, what do I care?
00:29:13All those things you weren't waiting for, mmm, billion, yeah.
00:29:18I'm preserving you're the one I love, through it blurting, you bet I'm breaking up, oh, saving all my love.
00:29:29And, wonderful one, your life, the breath of strength that comes when winter starts.
00:29:39Hey, beautiful one, oh, baby bear, so tonight's winter's dark.
00:29:49Hey, you're lovely to be home, heaven's to it, oh, ho, no one could compare.
00:29:58It's your best, daddy, hey!
00:30:01Come on!
00:30:04Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:30:26And now we'd like to impersonate the four ink spots.
00:30:29Of course, there's only two of us, but we weigh as much as they do.
00:30:42That's the way the ink spots usually start off.
00:30:45You put a nickel in the jukebox, and it goes,
00:30:51When you hear that, your nickel's gone.
00:30:56If I didn't care, more than words can say,
00:31:08If I didn't care, would I feel this way?
00:31:21And would I be sure, that this is love beyond the company?
00:31:34Would all this be true?
00:31:39If I didn't care, if I didn't care,
00:31:51Why, honey child, if I didn't care,
00:31:56Why would I go on being your square,
00:32:00Knowing that you ain't treat me fair, honey child?
00:32:03Now, honey child, you've got to change your style.
00:32:10Cause, honey child, you're driving me wild.
00:32:15Now, tell me, Holmes, this is love.
00:32:19Then tell me, what can it be?
00:32:22Why it's worrying the heck out of me, honey child.
00:32:28Now, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me,
00:32:32Tell me, what is it that makes my head go round and round
00:32:34Till I reach my quota?
00:32:36Oh, mad scotch, scotch and soda.
00:32:39And if I didn't care, would it be the same?
00:32:51Would my every part begin to argue with just your name?
00:33:02Ah, sweet essence of meatballs and spaghetti.
00:33:07Sure, if this is love beyond compare,
00:33:17Ah, shoot the salami to me mommy.
00:33:20Do it all be true
00:33:27If I didn't tell
00:33:37Oh, yeah!
00:33:42Oh, yeah!
00:33:45Oh, yeah!
00:34:19And now we bring you that
00:34:20dynamic personality, Jackie Mabley.
00:34:23But between you and me, folks,
00:34:25she'd rather be called
00:34:27Just Plain Mom.
00:34:33Thank you, children.
00:34:35Thank you, darling.
00:34:36I know you children all relaxed back there,
00:34:39sitting back there.
00:34:40Look at it, Bob.
00:34:41You think you're going to hear some jokes, don't you?
00:34:44Well, Mom don't know nothing.
00:34:48Mom don't know no jokes,
00:34:50but I can tell you some facts.
00:34:54Don't believe in them fairy tales in the first place.
00:34:58So don't look for none,
00:34:59because that Mother Hubbard
00:35:01going to the cupboard after dog bones
00:35:03and things like that,
00:35:04that never happened.
00:35:06Mother Hubbard had her gin in the cupboard
00:35:08in one of them squares.
00:35:09You know how your friends can come in,
00:35:11them chiselers and drink here?
00:35:13So she used to tell them
00:35:14she's going to come in
00:35:15to get a dog or a bull.
00:35:17She's going to get her a nip.
00:35:20Mother Hubbard was plenty here,
00:35:22and you believe that.
00:35:24Another thing,
00:35:25wait a minute, honey.
00:35:26You'll have to laugh a little louder.
00:35:29Mom can't hear you up there.
00:35:31That's it.
00:35:32Thank you very much.
00:35:33See, I can't hear
00:35:34very good Mom tell you
00:35:36how that happened.
00:35:38When they sent me,
00:35:39they sent for me
00:35:40to come down to Washington.
00:35:42They had some business
00:35:44they wanted me to tend to down there.
00:35:47They sent for me
00:35:48and sent me an airplane ticket.
00:35:51Now, I ain't scared of an airplane.
00:35:53I'm no square,
00:35:54but you young children say
00:35:57it just never moved me,
00:35:59you know,
00:36:00to ride in no airplane.
00:36:02Sure enough,
00:36:04no sooner than I got in the plane,
00:36:08they strapped me down.
00:36:10The plane ain't got up
00:36:12no ways hardly
00:36:12for something with
00:36:13gloom up in my head like that.
00:36:14I ain't heard nothing since.
00:36:17Both their stopped up.
00:36:19Oh, I was so sick.
00:36:23I said, honey,
00:36:25the students come to,
00:36:25I said, honey,
00:36:27my ears is all stopped up.
00:36:29She said,
00:36:30here's some chewing gum.
00:36:31I chored that.
00:36:33That ain't unstopped them.
00:36:35I got right limp.
00:36:37I said,
00:36:38do something for me, honey.
00:36:40I'm dying.
00:36:42She said,
00:36:44drop your jaws.
00:36:48And I misunderstood her.
00:36:53They grounded me
00:36:54in Baltimore.
00:36:56Yeah,
00:36:56they took me off.
00:36:58But outside
00:36:59of an airplane,
00:37:01Luther,
00:37:03play that piano for them
00:37:05and tell them
00:37:06that number
00:37:07where it tells you
00:37:08about something else
00:37:09that mom don't have played.
00:37:11Go on, Luther.
00:37:12Play it for them.
00:37:20Now, I guess
00:37:21everyone has
00:37:22their aggravations,
00:37:25especially
00:37:25in certain situations.
00:37:28Now, remember,
00:37:29I don't know
00:37:29what you children's
00:37:30might be,
00:37:31but here's one thing
00:37:33that kind of
00:37:33aggravates me.
00:37:35For instance,
00:37:37a company
00:37:38happened to drop in,
00:37:41especially
00:37:41if they've been
00:37:42drinking too much gin.
00:37:44I say,
00:37:45now listen,
00:37:46if you're my friend,
00:37:49don't sit on my bed.
00:37:51Oh, now,
00:37:52don't get me wrong.
00:37:53It's not that I think
00:37:54that your clothes
00:37:55ain't clean.
00:37:57And you know,
00:37:58Mom,
00:37:58I ain't never been mean.
00:38:00But there's a chair.
00:38:02Sit there.
00:38:04Uh,
00:38:05don't sit on my bed.
00:38:08I always was taught
00:38:09that chairs
00:38:10was made to sit in
00:38:11and beds
00:38:13was made to sleep.
00:38:16You're liable
00:38:16to get my blanket
00:38:17out of line
00:38:18or rumple up
00:38:20my sheet.
00:38:22Oh,
00:38:23it's not that
00:38:24I think
00:38:24that it looks
00:38:25so hot,
00:38:27but it's mine
00:38:28and it's all I got.
00:38:30In fact,
00:38:31I don't care
00:38:31if it ain't nothing
00:38:32but an army cart.
00:38:34Uh,
00:38:35don't,
00:38:35don't sit on my bed.
00:38:38Mattress
00:38:39start to
00:38:39getting all lumpy.
00:38:42Springs
00:38:43won't bounce
00:38:44no more.
00:38:47Sides
00:38:47will start
00:38:48sagging
00:38:49and slats
00:38:50fall on the floor
00:38:51and you know
00:38:52that's a drag.
00:38:54Then you go home
00:38:54feeling all happy
00:38:55and everything
00:38:56and leaving me
00:38:57with an aching head.
00:39:00Listen,
00:39:01Ben,
00:39:02if you're my friend,
00:39:04don't sit
00:39:05on my bed.
00:39:06In other words,
00:39:07don't crouch
00:39:08on the couch, son.
00:39:09I don't like it.
00:39:16Folks,
00:39:17have you ever heard
00:39:17of a potpourri
00:39:19of dance steps?
00:39:20Well,
00:39:20here it is
00:39:21with the Clark Brothers.
00:39:22on the couch.
00:45:04And now, ladies and gentlemen, the King Cole Trio.
00:45:42This is one time, I can't say, it's just one of those things, since my heart spends
00:45:49all its time tied to your apron strings.
00:45:52I never had a yen, I never had a yen, I never had a yen for taking your arm, holding
00:45:56your charm, buying a farm, when you put your sweet, sweet lips to mine, ooh, kickaroonie.
00:46:02My Savior, every day, and even better, take your feet, sweet, sweet as if I won't even upon your heart,
00:46:19too,ji was all just $1,000, but you've had a yen, I never had a yen.
00:46:32This is one of those things.
00:46:47This is one time I can't say
00:46:50It's just one of those things
00:46:53Since my heart spends all this time
00:46:56Tied to your able strings
00:46:58I never had a yin
00:47:00For taking your arm
00:47:01Holding your charm
00:47:03By the farm
00:47:04But when you put your sweet, sweet lips to mine
00:47:07Ooh, kick-a-rooney
00:47:08That's all
00:47:13Ooh, kick-a-rooney
00:47:14That's all
00:47:24That was a little song called

00:49:57If I found myself a four-leaf clover
00:49:59And I did
00:50:01Then a farmer yelled at me
00:50:02And said I was standing in the middle
