00:00Let's check in with Rochelle now for tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Here's the rundown on your weather.
00:08Starting with what happened today along and near Trinidad's northern range and part of the southwestern peninsula,
00:16we had isolated showers and brief isolated thunderstorms that occurred periodically through late afternoon.
00:22Elsewhere got mainly settled conditions with sunny to partly cloudy skies prevailing through sunset.
00:28Moving on now to what we can expect tonight.
00:31Mostly fair conditions but with a few partly cloudy patches producing brief showers near midnight and into pre-dawn hours
00:39with temperatures dropping to 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:45And for tomorrow, an umbrella will come in handy because although the day will be generally fair,
00:51conditions will become partly cloudy over varying areas.
00:54With a few light to moderate showers at that, thunderstorm activity is also possible near hilly areas and western Trinidad
01:02during the afternoon.
01:04Daytime temperatures will come in at 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
01:09Now, those same conditions will occur on Thursday and on Friday, but this time with a high possibility of heavy
01:16showers mainly over the central to western half of Trinidad during the afternoon on Thursday.
01:22While on Friday, heavy showery activity will affect northwest Trinidad and hilly areas.
01:28So, plan your errands accordingly.
01:30Let's take a look at our sun times now in Trinidad.
01:33Sunrise is at 554 and 551 in Tobago and sunset at 549 in Trinidad and 545 in Tobago.
01:41And if you're in the need of a sea bath, tomorrow's seas will be slight to moderate with waves of
01:461 meter to 1.5 meters in open waters
01:49and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
01:52It's now time for your Thai times.
02:02Turning to the Atlantic, Hurricane East Dias is no longer a tropical cyclone after making landfall near Destin, Florida as
02:11a Category 2 hurricane on Friday night.
02:13The storm has been linked to at least four deaths across Florida and Alabama.
02:18The system has weakened significantly as it moved inland, but its remnants continue to bring heavy rainfall and a risk
02:26of flash flooding across parts of the southeastern United States.
02:30The threat is gradually decreasing.
02:34Now, it's Tuesday, so here's a quick Tuesday tip.
02:39Feeling hot at home?
02:40When the air outside is cooler than indoors, open windows on opposite sides of your home to encourage cross ventilation.
02:48This allows fresh air to flow through and pushes out trapped heat.
02:52Try it early in the morning or in the evening when temperatures are cooler to help keep your home comfortable
02:58naturally.
03:00Don't say I didn't tell you.
03:01Well, that's all for weather tonight.
03:03Bash, what's happening in sports?
03:06Well, Rochelle, it's no surprise.
03:08Sami is asking for more from his West Indies bowlers ahead of the fourth T20 against India tomorrow.
03:16Angus Eve wants club Sando to defy the odds against Mount Pleasant tomorrow in the Caribbean Cup.
03:22And Manchester United slumped another defeat in the UEFA Champions League.
03:27Sport is up next.
