Taco Bus Clearwater gets put to the test in this honest food review, and the big question is whether the hype is actually worth it. Set inside the Edge Hotel on Gulf Boulevard, the spot stands out with its bus-themed setup, bright TV menus, and casual beachside vibe, even with social distancing changing the usual outdoor scene.

The order includes a chimichanga, burrito bowl, burrito, papas, chips, salsa, refried beans, and more, giving a solid look at the flavor, portion sizes, and overall value. The green hot sauce leans mild but flavorful, the red salsa is well-balanced, and the steak gets a strong shoutout for being especially juicy. The fried tortilla, loaded fillings, and fast service all add to the review of this Clearwater Mexican restaurant and food truck-style eatery.

If you’re searching for a Taco Bus Clearwater review, Clearwater food review, Mexican food in Tampa Bay, or a casual restaurant review with real opinions on taste, atmosphere, and price, this one covers the experience from start to finish. It’s useful for anyone comparing local taco spots, planning a beach-area meal, or looking for fast food with sit-down restaurant quality.

00:00What is up guys? It's your boy and I'm back with that fresh Florida tan
00:05You're gonna want to stay to the end of this video because somebody is gonna get some free stuff
00:11Now while we were in Florida
00:13I got tons of awesome footage of the Clearwater area including all the restaurants
00:17We went to and the food that we got and at the time I was just kind of shooting stuff
00:22to post on Instagram
00:23But I ended up with so much footage. I figured why not review the places we went?
00:29Unfortunately, I don't have a super dope Florida intro
00:32So I'm just going off the cuff in my office. That being said, we're gonna try something new
00:37But we're gonna do exactly that we're gonna review these places. So first up, we're going to Taco Bus in
00:43Clearwater
00:50The Clearwater Taco Bus is located street level in the Edge Hotel on Gulf Boulevard
00:56Now this area outside is normally packed with outdoor seating
00:59But you know, 20-20 problems
01:01Last time we were here on New Year's Eve, they had a DJ and whatnot
01:06It was a great use of the space
01:08Now I didn't grab one, but a $5 drink on the beach is not a bad deal
01:12Now the first thing you notice when you walk in is this dope ass bus
01:16I feel like if my restaurant would have had one it probably would have popped off way harder
01:21The lights working is pretty cool, too
01:23The menus are all on TVs, so they're clean bright and easy to read
01:27That's a GM right there shout out for letting me film even though you're in social distancing mode and things
01:32are moved all around
01:33Definitely appreciate it
01:35Also, your place gets bonus points for me if I can get grape or cherry sprite zero from the fountain
01:41This bad MF right here is the chimichanga
01:46I also got a little bit of the refried beans
01:49Some chips
01:50Some salsa
01:52Now they do make their own salsa too, which is pretty dope
01:54And this little guy up here, this not so little guy, is El Burrito Bowl
02:06First off, the burrito bowl was loaded with meat, rice, lettuce, and other stuff as you can see
02:13It's not just lettuce with a tiny little bit of other stuff
02:16It's a lot of other stuff with a little bit of lettuce
02:19Now the green salsa, that's their hot sauce
02:22It was definitely a step up from the red salsa
02:24But it was still fairly mild, maybe low into medium spectrum
02:27But it had a great flavor to it
02:29It was almost like a spicy chimichurri
02:32And chimichurri is amazing
02:34Now the red salsa was also very delicious
02:37It was the right consistency for chips and for you to put on your taco
02:41So that way it wasn't too thick or anything like that
02:44But it wasn't too thin either, it was nice
02:47This bad boy here was the chimichanga
02:50It's great as you can see inside of it
02:52It's loaded with meat, cheese, beans
02:56It was really great
02:57And my favorite part about it was how the flour tortilla was fried
03:01It had a nice crispiness to it
03:03But when you bit through it, it was still nice and soft
03:05Now if I'm not mistaken, they started off as a food truck
03:08And this here is a little tribute to their food trucks
03:11Here are the papos
03:13Now I'm not sure what the difference between these and nachos are
03:17But I'll tell you this
03:18These are like overpowered nachos
03:21There's a ton of steak on here and other toppings
03:24And you can tell I got the steak in my burrito as well
03:26Because the steak was so juicy
03:29It's probably the best steak that I've ever gotten from
03:32any Mexican-related restaurant at all
03:34It really was great
03:36Now the burrito is similar to the chimichanga
03:39But you know it's got lettuce and other stuff in it
03:41This here was a shredded chicken empanada
03:45And the dough on this, the pastry part, fantastic
03:48The meat was even better
03:50It just really is a great item
03:51And as you can see here, I got banned from the restaurant
03:54I'm not allowed to come back
03:56I'm hoping that maybe I can appeal that
03:58Maybe they'll see this video
03:59And as on our visit here, social distancing was in effect
04:03To sum it up, there's a reason that people in the Tampa area love this place
04:07The food comes out fast food fast
04:09But sit down restaurant quality
04:11And you can eat like a king for half the price of traditional sit down places
04:15We literally spent four times the amount of money for half as much food
04:21Right a block away from here
04:22You can afford to eat good
04:24And you can afford to bring your families if you have kids, things like that
04:27I definitely recommend this place and I will be back
04:32Now before we get back to this drawing
04:34I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart
04:36I honestly didn't think that anyone would watch or care about my channel
04:40But I wanted to keep cooking during all of this insanity we've been living through
04:44So I hit a hundred subs a few weeks ago
04:46And I wanted to give away that second vital way of cooking towards just to say thank you
04:50And since then the channel has just been snowballing
04:54At first, you know, I'd get like 10 subs a week
04:57You know, you know 30 to 60 views a day
05:00And I thought that was pretty cool
05:01And it's just growing faster and faster and faster
05:04My last video is only a couple days old
05:06And it looks like it's going to be the first video that I've ever posted
05:09That's going to cross the thousand view mark
05:11You know, and I'm just a small guy
05:13I don't have millions of followers
05:15I don't make any money off of YouTube
05:17But cooking for you guys has really helped me stay positive
05:20Helped me stay focused on becoming a better cook
05:23During, you know, just this crazy time
05:26And I'm really thankful
05:28I'm just extremely thankful to you guys for helping me do that
05:32That being said
05:33To enter this contest, you had to be a subscriber
05:37And you entered by commenting on any one of my videos
05:40Your first comment on any video was that entry
05:43So the winner of a brand new in-box vitalware cooking torch
05:51Is Mitch Cruz
05:53So I'm going to reach out and contact you on the back end
05:56And we'll make this happen
05:57When we hit 250 subs, if you didn't win today
06:00You're going to have a chance to win something else cool
06:02I'm not 100% sure what that is yet
06:04But when we get to 250 subscribers
06:07We're going to do another drawing
06:09The same rules are going to apply
06:11Be a subscriber and comment on any one of my videos
