Juicy smoked chicken wings with crispy skin are the payoff here, even if you’re starting with frozen supermarket wings. The recipe focuses on the simple steps that make the biggest difference: adding moisture with an injection, seasoning both sides, and using oil to help the skin crisp up in the smoker.

The wings are laid out, injected with chicken broth or chicken product, then coated with a barbecue rub before going into a smoker set to about 300 degrees. After roughly two hours, they come out at around 165 degrees internal temperature with smoky flavor, seasoned skin, and a much better bite than you’d expect from budget wings.

This is a practical smoked chicken wings tutorial for game day, backyard barbecue, wing night, or anyone trying to make crispy wings without frying. It also works as a guide for frozen chicken wings, smoked wings, and barbecue chicken wing prep.
