Do humans glow in the dark? Yes, but the glow is far too faint for our eyes to see. š¤Æ
In 2009, scientists in Japan used an ultra-sensitive camera in a completely dark room and captured the human body giving off a faint, visible light. It is about 1,000 times dimmer than our eyes can detect. The glow rises and falls through the day, brightest in the late afternoon, and the face glows a little more than the rest of the body. Almost every living thing gives off this faint light, which scientists link to the chemical reactions of metabolism.
