The film tells the story of PLA special operations platoon leader Zhou Yang (played by Chen Xingxu) and SWAT officer Xiao Ke (played by Li Ruichao). After suffering the tragic loss of comrades-in-arms during a joint border operation, they endure years of silence before joining forces once again to battle a criminal syndicate in a life-or-death showdown. Production involved tactical coordination drills and practical pyrotechnics—including the destruction of over a dozen vehicles to heighten visual impact—alongside the use of "video link" shots to build suspense. On February 8, 2020—the Lantern Festival—the production team donated the day's box office earnings of 200,000 yuan to medical institutions in Wuhan, earning commendations from the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the National Radio and Television Administration, and military leadership.
