00:00Victor Von Doom, hit from the world, taking refuge with the mysterious order of monks.
00:06Marvel just built Doctor Doom's lab, dropped it on a convention floor in New York,
00:11and let the internet walk through it. On the shelves, a sample of the Venom symbiote,
00:17a broken piece of the Silver Surfer's board, Cyclops' visor, Ultron's head, Thanos' shattered
00:24helmet, and a line on the display that reads, he's not building an army, he's collecting the
00:30powerful artifacts from the multiverse. Collecting them from who though? Because here's what should
00:36bother you, depending on one detail in this room, either every hero you love is still safe,
00:42or Doom has already gotten to them. And there's a pattern hidden in this collection, a pattern
00:47with exactly one hole in it. That hole might be the most important thing in the room.
00:54Quick thing before we get into it, this channel's reach has dropped badly,
00:58so please share this video first, so I can keep making more videos for you.
01:03Alright, let's get into it. First, what's real? Because the internet has already started inflating
01:09this. Marvel set up Doctor Doom's lab at New York Comic Con, which ran October 8th through the 11th.
01:16It's a physical display at Marvel's booth on the Javits Center floor. It is not a scene from the movie,
01:22and Marvel hasn't explained what any of it means. What the display does offer is a framing. Doom as a
01:29collector, not a conqueror. The shelves hold a sample of the Venom symbiote, Cyclops' visor,
01:35a broken piece of the Silver Surfer's board, Ultron's head, and Thanos' broken helmet.
01:40Three of Doom's masks sit on display, too, and the placard calls him Dr. Doom, the King of Latveria.
01:48According to one report, he wears three different costumes across the film, one for each act. Now,
01:55some fans are also pointing to an ultimate nullifier and a cosmic cube in the footage. One outlet even
02:02put the nullifier in its headline. But the coverage that actually lists what's on the shelves doesn't
02:07itemize either one. So, for now, those two belong in the spotted by fans pile, not the confirmed pile.
02:14Keep that distinction in your head, because it matters later. Let's start with the strangest item in the
02:20room. A piece of Venom. Rewind to the end of Spider-Man No Way Home. Eddie Brock gets pulled
02:27back to his own universe, but the post-credits scene reveals a bit of the symbiote stayed behind
02:32on Earth-616, the main MCU. That loose end has been sitting there for years, so the obvious guess
02:40is that Doom's sample is that very piece. Here's where it gets messy, though. You may have seen a
02:45version of this theory claiming Doom grabbed Spider-Man in the Spider-Man brand new day
02:50post-credits scene. That's not what happened. That scene is a Spidey tracker app with a new
02:56sighting pinging on the map. No actors, no Doom. Writers have floated that it could mean Spider-Man
03:02is somewhere strange, or that another Spider-Man is on the way, and plenty of them tie it to Secret
03:08Wars rather than Doomsday. And Secret Wars is exactly where Spider-Man's story and the symbiote
03:14have a famous history. In the original 1984 comic series, that's where Peter first picks up the
03:20black suit. A piece of venom in Doom's lab, a year before Secret Wars hits theaters? Marvel doesn't
03:27do that by accident. If this is already making your brain spin, hit the like button. It genuinely
03:33helps this channel reach more MCU fans. Next shelf. A broken piece of the Silver Surfer's board.
03:39The MCU has already met one Surfer, Shalabal, in the Fantastic Four First Steps. A damaged board
03:47suggests some version of the Surfer lost a fight with Doom, and honestly, that matches the comics.
03:53Back in 1966, Doom drained the Surfer of his power cosmic and flew off on the Surfer's own board.
04:00Stealing power from cosmic beings is practically Doom's signature. Decades later, in Jonathan Hickman's
04:07Secret Wars, he took on the Beyonders themselves and stole their power. Then there's Cyclops' visor.
04:14Remember this one, because it's the hole in the pattern. James Marsden's Cyclops is part of Doomsday.
04:21Hot Toys has already revealed a Doomsday-based Cyclops figure from his appearance in the film.
04:26So if that visor is a trophy, one of two things is true. Either it belongs to a different version
04:32of
04:32Scott Summers, or Doom takes it from the Cyclops we're about to meet. Those are very different movies.
04:39Now, the helmet. In Endgame, Thor took Thanos' head with Stormbreaker. So a broken Thanos helmet on
04:46Doom's shelf is already a statement. But the comics version is far worse.
04:51In Secret Wars 2015, issue 8, Thanos confronts Doom. Without an Infinity Gauntlet, there's nothing he can
05:00do while Doom casually pulls the skeleton out of his body. Marvel's own recap of the series describes
05:06it plainly. And that's why an image from last year matters. At Disney's marketing expo in Shanghai in
05:132025, an official light show featured Doom holding up a skeleton, which reads as a direct reference to
05:20that comic panel. That same show also showed Doom wielding Shang-Chi's 10 rings. Now, here's where
05:27people get divided. Some fans think the skeleton in that light show isn't Thanos at all. They think
05:32it's Kang, because the Thanos we knew is gone. So be honest. Thanos or Kang? Say it in the comments.
05:40I genuinely want to know which side you're on. One more item on that shelf. Ultron's head.
05:46Fans have connected it to Doom's Doombots, the robot soldiers shown in recent promo material,
05:52since the designs look similar. Nothing official says that, so treat it as an observation, not a leak.
05:59Let's talk about the item that isn't confirmed, because the fan reaction is enormous. The Ultimate
06:05Nullifier first appeared in Fantastic Four issue 50 back in May 1966 from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
06:13It's the weapon the Watcher steers the Fantastic Four toward when Galactus arrives to devour Earth.
06:20The Human Torch retrieves it, Reed Richards holds it up, and Galactus, a being who eats planets for
06:26breakfast backs off. Marvel describes it as a device with the power to destroy an entire universe,
06:33not a planet, a universe. That's why fans lit up when an early Doomsday collectible statue showed
06:40Doom holding a mysterious blue device. Some called it the Nullifier. Others said it was just a display
06:47key. Nothing confirmed it. Still, think about the logic. The Nullifier ties straight back to Reed
06:53Richards, and Doomsday's synopsis promises heroes from three universes on a collision course. If
07:00Doom wanted to decide which world survive, an item like that would matter. That's a theory,
07:05mine and a lot of other people's. Not a fact, but it's a theory with some weight behind it.
07:11Here's something that should change how you read this room. Marvel has already shown Doom collecting.
07:18In one of Avengers Endgame Encore's post-credits scenes, Doom kidnaps Bruce Banner, who had been
07:24hiding deep underground after going savage in Brand New Day. Seen that way, the lab stops looking
07:30like a museum and starts looking like a shopping list. Joe Russo has said Doom studies his enemies
07:36and plans meticulously, and never steps onto a battlefield without an advantage. A collector who
07:42plans that carefully isn't hoarding. He's preparing. And if you want to see how bad it can get, look at
07:49Fortnite. Back in Chapter 5 Season 4 in 2024, Doom's castle was a trophy room. The Thing was twisted
07:57into his throne. The Human Torch's heart sat burning in a fireplace. The Invisible Woman was locked in a
08:03glass case. Reed was curled up in a display. Doctor Strange's Eye of Agamotto was in a case too.
08:10Now, to be clear, Fortnite isn't MCU canon, but it shows how Doom's trophies are designed to read.
08:17So, if you're enjoying this breakdown, drop a like. We've got one more big question to answer.
08:23Here's the question that decides everything. When does this collection exist? Reading number one.
08:30We see the lab at the start of Doomsday. In that case, these are trophies from other universes.
08:36The heroes in the film are still safe, and the lab is a warning about what Doom has already done
08:41elsewhere. Reading number two. The lab grows. Doomsday ends with Doom winning, and by the time
08:49Secret Wars begins, those shelves are filled with items from heroes we know. Thor's hammer, other
08:55weapons, and trophies that make Fortnite look tame. Some fans point to details on Doom's armor,
09:00like a hammer emblem, as signs he's already beaten Thor. That's a fan reading, not something Marvel has
09:07confirmed. Now look at the pattern fans are trying to build. Characters with big roles in the movie,
09:13like Thor, Reed, and Sue, aren't represented by the artifacts we've seen. Meanwhile, the lab shows
09:19items tied to Thanos, the Surfer, Venom, and Ultron. People and things the movie may not feature. That
09:26pattern suggests reading number one, that these are leftovers from other worlds. But Cyclops breaks
09:33it. Marsden's Cyclops is in the film. If his visor belongs to him, Doom already got Scott Summers,
09:40and the pattern collapses. So, which is it? Did Doom already beat these characters off screen,
09:46or is the collection a preview of what he takes? Marvel's display is built to be read both ways,
09:52and that's the point. It's a teaser, not an answer. Here's what we do know. Every object in that room
09:59represents power Doom took from somebody else. Marvel itself has told us he isn't gathering an army,
10:06he's gathering the tools. The only open question is what he's building with them, and whether he's
10:12already finished. The lab isn't a trophy room, it's a blueprint. And we'll find out which version of
10:18Doom walks into the theater on December 18th. What do you think? Which characters will end up
10:24on Doom's shelves by the end of Secret Wars? Drop your theory in the comments. I read them.
10:29And if you want daily MCU videos as we count down to Doomsday, subscribe. See you in the next one.
