Heroic Bystander Captures Efforts to Aid Police During Portobello Blaze

Jude has released a video documenting his courageous actions to support law enforcement in managing a severe fire on Portobello Street while awaiting the arrival of firefighters. 'I was in an Uber heading home from a night out in Edinburgh when we noticed a significant blaze spreading from a large wooden door,' Jude explained to WooGlobe. 'My driver exited the vehicle to remove some fabric nearby. As the flames grew, I dialed emergency services. The police arrived promptly, and alongside my driver and two other bystanders, we began knocking on doors. I assisted the police in evacuating residents from the adjacent flat as the fire raged.' Fortunately, no one was in the unit directly above the engulfed door. Jude noted that firefighters reached the scene 10 minutes after the area was cleared and extinguished the fire.
